Image Tagging for Image:Kevinguitar.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kevinguitar.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome
Please read WP:BIO before writing biographies. Thanks, feydey 22:58, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please read WP:BIO. The article Kevin Whitney is not in line with Misplaced Pages policies and furthurmore is non-notable. If you revert to previous reversion, I will start to had out more serious vandalism warnings. Happy editing! DGX 23:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
He appeared in a Little Tikes ad in 1989 2. He's pretty well known in the city of North Olmsted 3. He's gonna be a disk jockey, which means he'll have even more noteriety
- Ok, someone who has a minor appearance in a Little Tikes ad in 1989 and is locally famous is non-notable. We write encyclopedia articles on things that actually happened, not things that may happen or someone's future plans like he's going to be a disk jockey. All in all, this article is still non-notable. DGX 23:48, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Your edits to Kevin Whitney
Thank you for experimenting with Misplaced Pages. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. DGX 23:51, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add nonsense to Misplaced Pages. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. DGX 23:58, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. DGX 00:02, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
"Your" talk page
This is not your talk page where you are allowed to post anything you want. This talk page belongs to the community on Misplaced Pages, not yourself. Removing warnings from your talk page (which you did 3 times) is considered vandalism and will be reverted. DGX 00:13, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's only "yours" because you have created an account on Misplaced Pages. It's owned by the Misplaced Pages community, not specific editors. DGX 00:17, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it might be "whacked" but it's policy, nothing can really be done about except abide by the rules. DGX 00:29, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Littletikes.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Littletikes.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DGX 00:37, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Whatever, dude. This place is indeed extremely whacked. I have no choice but to "shoot" on Misplaced Pages, the editors (like yourself), and its policies later on on my user page.
- I personally don't care if you "shoot" on Misplaced Pages, but don't go around "shooting" on Misplaced Pages editors making personal attacks, which is against policy. DGX 00:42, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Personal attacks
Please do not make personal attacks on other people. Misplaced Pages has a policy against personal attacks. In some cases, users who engage in personal attacks may be blocked from editing by admins or banned by the arbitration committee. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Please resolve disputes appropriately. Thank you. DGX 19:21, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please mind WP:CIVIL. DGX 19:52, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- The other part of the comment on your user page can stay for all I care because (for the most part) it isn't a personal attack. The last part of your comment is a personal attack and will continue to be removed if added. DGX 20:06, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Didn't hurt my feelings one bit, but your comment went against policy, which was enough to get it removed. DGX 20:11, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

- Another comment like that and I'll start handing out NPA warnings again. DGX 20:16, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- You did do something wrong. This whole matter is about you recreating a vanity page about yourself and then making personal attacks on your user page (which is two faults). Admins and other users agreed that the deletion, not censorship, of this page was the right move. Please move along from furthur debate. DGX 20:20, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- You're argument is getting you nowhere. DGX 20:29, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Your side of the story
Hi, can we talk? What's your side of the story? I want to hear it. You can reply on your own talk page here, I have it watchlisted and will see the response. Thanks. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 20:58, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Alright, here's what went down.
I created a Misplaced Pages entry dedicated to myself, Kevin Whitney. In doing so I created an unbiased page. Everything was written straight down the line. That page was up and untouched by anybody for 3 whole weeks. 3 weeks! Apparantly, nobody really cared enough to do a thing about it. It was all fine and dandy.
Then this guy, DGX or feyfey or whoever, decides to come along and delete it. They say it's a vanity page (which it's not. The article was written in an unbiased perspective.)
Then, I'm told that I have no noteriety. Nothing could be further from the truth. I appeared in a Little Tikes ad in 1989, which was sent all over the country. I'm also well known in Akron, Ohio and North Olmsted, Ohio. In North Olmsted, I would play the guitar at talent shows and parties. I also wrestled for the High School wrestling team. Furthermore, I would always help out in various projects all over town. As far as Arkon, goes, I am very well known around campus. I am also in college, studying to be a disk jockey. And I will make it, thus furthering my noteriety.
So, DGX and I go back and forth about this, and I them pasted my old wikipedia entry into both my Userpage and "My Talk" page. He changes the talk page even though it slearly states that it's "MY Talk" page. The "MY" indicates that it's mine. So, he changes it. That makes no sense.
I then added in my userpage comments about the controversy surrounding my Misplaced Pages entry. He goes and edits THAT! It's my page! By censoring my page, he is violating my first ammendment rights, which is something I'm not prepared to tolerate. Besides, referring to people as "tools" is hardly anything to complain about. Which he did, on the administrators noticeboard. He cried and pissed and moaned all about it. Boo hoo hoo. Seriously, he needs to get over it and grow up.
And that is how it all went down. Uofakevo 20:08, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- All right. Let me address some of that:
- Your first amendment right to freedom of speech: You don't have that here. I don't have that here. This is a private non-profit web site dedicated to building an encyclopdia, not a public commons.
- Regarding whether the encyclopedia should have an article about you: I know you've read Misplaced Pages:Notability (people); you also should read Misplaced Pages:Autobiography. Those of us building the encyclopedia have thought long and hard about these issues (we are geeks that way) and have concluded that if everybody who is even locally famous were to get an article, the encyclopedia would be overrun with vanity pages, and nobody would take it seriously. I'm really sorry, but if you ask almost anybody around here, they will all say that your accomplishments thus far do not merit an article. This is not an insult. My accomplishments don't merit an article either. Misplaced Pages articles are not a measure of worth.
- If someone takes offense at being called a "tool" then you should agree to not call hem a tool. We have a policy here, Misplaced Pages:Civility, that details that kind of thing pretty well.
Just some thoughts. You should try editing some pages that aren't directly related to you, find out if you are interested in Misplaced Pages as a whole or not. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 20:28, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
