Operation Clambake
Hi, I saw your edits to Operation Clambake. Have you considered yet joining Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Scientology? The questions of how the various Scientology-related categories are arranged are the sort of thing that gets debated there. -- Antaeus Feldspar 23:06, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Im a relatively new wiki user, but if you feel I may be of value to the project, I'd love to participate. Any information I should have before adding my name to the participants secion of WP:SCN? AKMask 06:44, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Nothing besides the basic policies you need to know on Misplaced Pages anyways. It's actually surprising how few problem users WP:SCN collects; mostly everyone there seems truly interesting in getting the articles up to an NPOV standard. -- Antaeus Feldspar 23:00, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Epitaph/RIAA connection, etc
replying to: Im just posting this because I wish to avoid any sort of edit war. Is it possible for you to cite a notable source defining a major record label the way you are asserting? It's a new one by me. AKMask 16:38, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I appreciate your efforts to avoid an edit war (I don't want one either).
Regarding the RIAA/indie label issue, it's difficult to find authoritative sources for the absolute definition of "independent" as it is mainly a matter of rough consensus of the indie community. However, increasingly RIAA membership has served as sort of the litmus test for a label's independence (I'm sure you're familiar with the RIAA Radar).
In that sense, here are some links attempting to document the consensus regarding RIAA membership:
Indie Labels join RIAA
Indie Labels Upset About Incorrect RIAA Link
Indie labels: "RIAA is NOT the whole music industry"
17+ indie labels go to RIAA
I'm willing to concede that some (perhaps many) don't agree with the anti-RIAA definition of indie, and that fact should be included in both the Epitaph and the independent record label articles. --Bk0 (Talk) 16:58, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Cisco
Hi, I'm new to wikipedia, so don't mind me if I'm doing things completely wrong. Anyhow, I edited the article 'cisco (wine)' recently, but you changed it back. I just wanted to let you know that the only ones I've ever seen sold around here are 18%, and also, "berry", "orange", and "Red" are all flavors I have seen first hand. There are even more flavors that I've seen also, but I didn't want to speculate... I only wrote the ones I was sure about. I thought maybe raspberry was the same as berry. So anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I believe you if you say that there is a 19.5 and 17.5 version of cisco, which I'd really like to see, but the info I added, specifically the flavors, should have been kept on the page. There is a liquor store about 30 minutes out of my town which specializes in bum wines which I'll be driving past in the next week. So I'll stop in and check up on the flavors for sure this time.
- I actually hadnt noticed you added flaors into it. By all means add your 18% figure, but keep the 19% one as well. I have bottles and bottles of Cisco Peach 19%. -AKMask 14:12, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
The Black List
As you are aware, we are all listed on the black list. Do you think that everyone who is listed on that list should be informed (in case they don't know) so that they can avoid giving out personal information? In fact, I find it most disturbing that he has taken my quotes out of context - elsewhere in the same comments, I am praising him for finding out who wrote that stuff about Seigenthaler. BTW what's he got against Gmail? I have one of their accounts. Izehar (talk) 18:06, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not planning on revealing any info - I like being mysterious John Doe#16. Anyway, I daren't e-mail him. My e-mail address is subject to a fundamental defect - see here. Izehar (talk) 20:01, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

RE: Titoxd's RfB
Hello. I wondered if you could clarify something for me. You said that Bureaucratship is nt the next logical step from Adminship. Why isn't it and what is the next step? If a user has been an Admin for a goodly long while and an editor for that same goodly long while surely they can be trusted with the powers, hereby openning up a new chapter in their WikiLives? I don't understand - do they not deserve that right through their long service to the project? --Celestianpower 10:09, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey, someone redirected the entire First Family of the United States article into First Family. I just wanted to let you know, seeing as more people voted to keep it than to redirect. I'm reposting it. History21 16:50, 20 February 2006 (UTC)History21

Thank you for your comments on Argox's AfD page. Ruby has been wikistalking me, and it's very annoying. For instance, DAP Technologies and Virtutech. I don't exactly know how to deal with this problem. Jehochman 18:45, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
AfD for Acellus
I know you're just being humourous, but your vote isn't really clear and may be mistaken for a keep vote. There is a cople of sockpuppets already and your vote could actually turn into lack of consensus - which defaults to keep. Please consider revising your vote. Ifnord 18:59, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Welcome
Welcome to the Tropical Cyclone Wikiproject! I see you are just getting started in helping with tropical cyclone articles, and us at the project are happy you joined. There are numerous ongoing projects, including greatly improving the retired hurricane/typhoon articles or finishing a database encompassing tropical cyclone seasons in every basin. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or at our headquarters. Have fun, and see you around.
Re: Messier
Well, Messier played junior 'A' in my hometown for my favourite team, he was a great two-way forward, he was a terrific leader, he could score with the best of them and I'm surprised he never won a Selke trophy (they've always had a thing against giving it to top scorers)...I have to support him! - St. Albert, Alberta. Messier played with the Spruce Grove Mets and the St. Albert Saints when they moved during his junior 'A' career. Lord Bob 01:42, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways, from comparing articles that need work to other articles you've edited, to choosing articles randomly (ensuring that all articles with cleanup tags get a chance to be cleaned up). It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Misplaced Pages better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 13:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

- There was a previous AfD that mandated returning many of the ship class articles back into the list. Userbox deletion vote
I don't appreciate being told what I 'may' and 'may not' remove. Try being more diplomatic in your wording and please assume good faith. I was removing comments that could be construed as offensive because they do not positively contribute to the discussion, I wasn't vandalizing. Look and think. Thanks. — natha(?)nrdotcom 22:04, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry if my wording was less then diplomatic, but you 'may not' do those things per the rules. I'll couch it better next time... I end up doing so many little reverts throughout the day that I dont really put too much thought into those messages. -M 22:19, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

FL Tallest structures in Paris
You recently voted oppose for this article's request to become a featured list. The main or sole reason behind your choice to oppose was that there were many red links on the article. This was in the process of being attended to by Metropolitan well before I nominated this article for FL status, so I apologize that the article was not ready to become an FL as of then. Now, though, all but a few red links have been replaced by blue links.
For the time being, your oppose vote has been stricken out because your reason for opposing has been attended to. If you still believe this article should not become a featured list, please de-strike your comment and state a new reason. If you think that because of the lack of red links, it now deserves a support vote, kindly note that below your original vote and write "support". Thank you for your vote on that page. → J@red ubx 02:53, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Thurrock Paranormal
Dear 'AKMask', Would you please try to be a little easier on the creators of Thurrock Paranormal, users here overly criticising them and their site is doing Misplaced Pages a disservice and has resulted in some long term members loosing faith in the community here. user against Iraq war of aggression
Just saw your userbox that you put up. It'll probably be speedied, but just so you know: The US is not under the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice. They are not entitled to rule on American actions, so no case against those Americans pictured would be brought forth. Blair, on the other hand, since Britain agreed to be under the Court's jurisdiction, could. See the jurisdiction secion on the ICJ page. -M 01:49, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- You are probably thinking about the International Criminal Court. The International Court of Justice has jurisdiction over all countries. And the ICC, too, has, as long as crimes were committed in a country that signed the Statute of Rome. That is why the US was trying to get an exemption from the ICC but failed after the war had started. Bush can be tried in the US as breaking the UN Charter is a crime there, too. ROGNNTUDJUU! 08:04, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- The ICJ page states that the US pulled out in the mid-80's. There are a few other countries who pick and choose where it has jurisdiction (Austrailia doesn't let it rule over maritime boundaries, for example) -M 14:51, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Please reconsider your opinion on this article. Just having a imdb entry doesn't make someone notable enough for an encyclopedia entry. Two of the parts are just uncredited extras and the veracity of the film in which he stars is highly doubtful. Arniep 01:03, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

I found this proposed policy, and I really like the way it's starting to shape up. I've made some spelling changes and whatnot, but no substance additions yet. I believe if this policy continues developing in an acceptable manner it could become accepted by the community. Any specific help you might want on it? -M 15:33, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, for one we need spesific examples of what can be considered "infestation".
- Greek/Macedonian conflict over the naiming of Republic of Macedonia may be a good example.
- I prefer not to present conflicts (I am biased in conflicts I am involved with after all) I was a part of as examples but I do not mind you presenting them.
