Ending Quote

"Even with eyes wide open, my world is one of darkness."

But I just saw: "Even with eyes wide open, you can't see everything." in English translation? Regards, 122.148.41.172 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:00, 6 July 2010 (UTC).

It seems to vary slightly (my R2 version says "Even with my eyes wide open, I can't see a thing."). Geoff B (talk) 14:34, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I watched this film on Australian SBS TV 2 nights ago. The final subtitle as Zatoichi tripped over the stone was "No matter how wide you open your eyes, you cannot see what you cannot see", which I think is a profound philosophical statement...Bill Burrell58.96.37.244 (talk) 08:14, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
