Thanks for your upload to Misplaced Pages:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:04, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

RE: Advice requested

Hi Lesion. I would remove them just as you have done. Good call to write on her talkpage to explain why (and as you did keep it very friendly since some people can see as a direct attack on their person... plus she could become/are otherwise a good editor). If you are having trouble keeping up on the edits she makes, end in a "revert-war" or discussions on her talkpage leads nowhere, you could ask for assistance on WP:MED (If you do; let her know and give her a link). ...and since you already have started a dialog with her; please give her a link or and example on how to write the proper syntax for Misplaced Pages :D Sorry, for my short answer and lack of action in this manner, but I have decided to take a long break from Misplaced Pages (half a year or so) since I will be studying abroad from this semester (I still get mails when people post on my talkpage but I do not do any editing or really check my watchlist at the moment). Kind regards and again, sorry for not helping at all, JakobSteenberg (talk) 21:21, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Lichen Planus

Nice work! This article is getting better and better. I've continued to work on removing tautologies and unifying the integrated content. After a few more copyedits I'd like to request an assessment to upgrade to B class, I think this article is now quite comprehensive. LT90001 (talk) 10:17, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Nothing recent

Thank you for helping to keep vandalism out of Misplaced Pages. You reported at AIV vandalism by 74.90.57.148 and said there was vandalism after a final warning. The problem is, the "Final warning" was from December 2012. To block a vandal, there should have been a recent final warning. With an IP vandal, the present editor might be a different person from the December user. More appropriate would be a "first warning" either from the templated warnings at WP:WARN, or from an automated process such as Twinkle. Regards, Edison (talk) 14:59, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Did not realize that warnings were time dependent. I disagree that it could be a new person, the pattern of behavior is similar, they vandalize talk pages not the article itself. Lesion (talk) 23:37, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Commented out undefined references

There were some undefined references that were added in Halitosis (clinperioandimplantdent and carranza). I just commented them out because I didn't know what the correct references were. Cheers, JonathanWilliford (talk) 23:00, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Request for review

Hi! I hope that you've been well lately, Lesion. If you have time, would you mind casting your wizened eye over the article Hypoxemia? It was in a deplorable state, and read like an essay with out-of-place physiological proofs in it. I'm in the process of fixing it up and would really value you'd do a drive-by copyedit and tag of everything that's uncited (there's a lot). I find it's a lot easier to edit when you have some input from someone else... I'm not looking to produce a super class article, so there's no need to give any formal review comments, but I'd like some input while I prepare to make my second tranche of edits (citations, mainly). In return for your kindly efforts I offer a golden doubloon!

Question why you removed all external links from Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva

I noticed you removed all the external links for the Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva article without explanation. I had checked them and they seemed fine and legit, hence my edit. I originally read about FOP in the Atlantic article and came here to see what else was on the subject, so I have no affiliation or connection with any of the linked entities. I believe it would be better to err on the side of inclusiveness in the event a reader wishes more information. The links in the article in question did not seem to violate the Misplaced Pages provisos for external links. 96.227.66.159 (talk) 19:15, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Actinic cheilitis may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Klinefelter SYndrome edits

What talk page do I need to ask permission to do the edits? I did provide pub med references on all my changes that backed them up that Klinefelter Syndrome and XXY are *not* the same thing. The 3x thing was a newbie mistake in trying to figure out how to make edits. Also I am happy to change my name to my real name, but my profile does not show me how to do this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeyondXXY,Inc (talkcontribs) 20:12, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

CoI and Moffitt

Hi,

I posted a note at DGG's talk page about this too. I received an extensive posting on my talk page from the editor in question that seemed to pretty straightforwardly acknowledge their mistakes in editing thus far. I may have been hasty in asserting a CoI, but based on the searches I had done I thought I had enough circumstantial evidence to suggest there might be a problem.

I have removed the mention on my talk page, but it is of course in the history, take a look at it if you like. I do think that there is an opportunity to encourage this editor to be productive and respectful of the norms here, though the proof is of course in the pudding. I have responded on their page as well. -- # ▄ 19:42, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

No quarrel on the Almhanna article, but after interacting with the editor, I'm going to refrain from entering a vote. Cheers. -- # ▄ 23:47, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

Consent

To address the issue of needing "patient consent" for release of X-rays in publications the General Medical Council in the UK says ethically it is NOT required.

10. Consent to make the recordings listed below will be implicit in the consent given to the investigation or treatment, and does not need to be obtained separately.

Images of internal organs or structures Images of pathology slides Laparoscopic and endoscopic images Recordings of organ functions Ultrasound images X-rays

12. You may disclose or use any of the recordings listed in paragraph 10 for secondary purposes without seeking consent provided that, before use, the recordings are anonymised for example, by the removal or coding of any identifying marks such as writing in the margins of an X-ray (see paragraph 17). Further advice on anonymising information is available from the Information Commissioner’s Office.7
