Portrait, Digital Painting 2004

I consider my self a "Renaissance man"...

I am a computer technologist and consultant in the area of new media, Internet and IP technologies. I have a keen interest in good graphic and information design and love to invent new things.

During the last 15 years I have been actively involved in the development of multimedia hardware and software, local and wide area networks, book design, typography, new media technologies, web strategies and sites, corporate image, media asset management software, online marketing strategies, graphic design and Voice over IP applications... a very strange mix for some... and very natural for me. Yes to the horizontal and the diagonal. Learn, investigate, integrate, cross-fertilize, collaborate, innovate. These are my keywords.

Still Life, Digital painting 2004

I am also a digital artist currently exploring the application of traditional painting techniques (oils, impasto, watercolor, charcoal, etc) to the digital realm and exploring the concept of computer assisted painting. My explorations are in portraiture and still life.

I am a proud student of Prem Rawat, which I have known for more than 20 years. I am very grateful for his teachings, his inspiration, his guidance, and in particular for his relentless efforts to remind me to enjoy my life, to live my life consciously and and to stand on my own feet.

I am married, with four children, living a peaceful and fulfilled life in Southern California.

Learnings

I am rather new to Misplaced Pages, but learning fast. I read with a lot of interest the NPOV pages and studied the principles of collaborative work on Misplaced Pages. The ideals are hard to uphold, in particular when dealing with subjects that are controversial. Only time will tell if Misplaced Pages can become the neutral place it was designed to be... Otherwise, it will be rememebred as a failed attempt that did not take into account the fallibility and bias of human beings...--Jossifresco 00:11, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

NPOV works

Pleasantly surprised that NPOV is possible. Some editors are just great at doing that. I am starting to believe in this project. :)--jossi 00:55, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)
