Hello Sandstein. concerning MarshalN20, I'm currently in an edit war with this editor and I believe MarshalN20 was given a one month ban from editing which is still in enforce yet he had no problems editing some of my work in a wikipedia page. I just want some clarification, can he still edit pages? has the ban been removed?

User:Erim Turukku and Ismail I article

After subsequent discussions with this "editor", I have come to the conclusion this person will not accept any facts from these sources;Cambridge University Press, Andrew J. Newman, Rudi Mathee, Stuart Cary Welch, H.R. Roemer. Calling them, "not reliable".

Also, this editor has falsified information from C.E. Bosworth's, The Ghaznavids:994-1040, page 134. I own said book and the supposed "quote" does not exist on page 134 nor anywhere else in the book.

As such, I am asking that User:Erim Turukku be notified of the editing restrictions covering Armenia and Azerbaijan.

This editor also needs to be warned against copy & pasting another editor's source and simply writing whatever he/she wants(ie.source falsification).

I realize you might be busy right now, so no hurry. Thanks. --Kansas Bear (talk) 01:20, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't have the time to look into this, but any user may issue a warning as far as I know.  Sandstein  20:33, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

wp:ae comments

I've just noticed in the wp:ae about Cavann, that my response is needed, but given the fact that the statements should be shortened, I assume I have to wait for the trimming first. I guess it won't make sense to respond to allegations that will be possible shortened.Alexikoua (talk) 20:59, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Machine-gun nest listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Machine-gun nest. Since you had some involvement with the Machine-gun nest redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). BDD (talk) 23:42, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

MarshalN20

Sandstein, I've no opinion on the bulk of your comments at AE, but note that he is permitted to edit the Falkland Islands article, per this: Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Argentine History#Amendments. If that affects your decision on whether to block, or the length of the block, probably better to address it now. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:15, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I've noticed, and left a correction. Thanks,  Sandstein  19:17, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
no prob. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:28, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Sorry but I happen to think a month's block is quite outrageous in this case. Technically a violation of his topic ban but he withdrew from commenting two weeks ago. Hitting with the block hammer now is simply punitive not preventative. I would ask you take your block decision to WP:AN for review. Wee Curry Monster talk 19:49, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

I disagree; it's preventative in that it prevents or deters further violations. MarshalN20's response didn't contain a clear statement that they acknowledge that their edits were topic ban violations and that they will not repeat them, so I believe an enforcement block is required. If they disagree with the block, MarshalN20 is free to appeal it.  Sandstein  19:53, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
I am raising this at WP:AN to request a review, I don't find your reply to be satisfactory as a means of dealing with a stale issue. It is no way preventative. Wee Curry Monster talk 19:57, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

TickPick

Hey,

I just graduated from college, and have been thinking about contributing some stuff to startups, etc. I used to be on here a lot when I was younger, but kind of fell out of it. I was gonna do a short blurb on TickPick (a ticket software thingamabobber) and it said that you had already deleted a page with the same name and that I should talk to you . . .

Thanks, Portlandiaman — Preceding unsigned comment added by Portlandiaman (talkcontribs) 14:46, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
