Genocides in history

Hey - I see you are on holiday or taking a break from editing.

I saw your last note... hum... are you saying we need a reliable source stating these actions as genocide in order to edit this section? Aren't the sources I entered considered reliable? Genocide is taking many forms, including uranium poisoning.

Additionally, these same sources have claimed genocide for sterilization programs, buffalo slaughter, Indian Extermination programs, removals of children from families, etc...

Thanks, and I await your response.Jdfuna (talk) 20:55, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

@Jdfuna: We have a policy here of no original research, see WP:OR. We need a reliable source which calls this an act of genocide, we cannot do that ourselves. I have looked for one, but found none, as I said we have an article on this and the content belongs there, although a link to that article in the see also section of genocides in history is appropriate. DYK for François Ponchaud

Updated DYK queryOn 12 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article François Ponchaud, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that French priest François Ponchaud was one of the first people to publicise the genocide in Cambodia? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/François Ponchaud. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.
