I know it's the fashion amongst several admins/checkusers on en.wp to ignore what's staring them in the face (and their motives for doing so for some of them, for example the hardline NFCC crew of Masem, Black Kite and Kww, are pretty obvious and pretty un-wiki like - Kww in particular is obviously going to continue to ignore it now), but even before all this pro-RFC sock-chicanery, this latest episode of en.wiki disruption that has Wereith at its heart, was classic Betacommand - taking a break from his usual obsession, Wereith found another tedious batch-editing job - the manual mass-removal of archivedotis links (because Kww's proposed bot to do the same didn't have a chance of being approved), wrote a bug-ridden script/bot to perform it, and once people started complaining about it, he responded with all the classic Betacommand traits of IDHT and generally being an obtuse dick. :: Otherwise I'd agree with everything you've just said here. Whether one recognises that Werith is Betacommand or not, his behaviour for persistent dickishness over this archive.is issue (and mostly his refusal to either not remove cites altogether, or to at least stop whilst it's being discussed) is just the sort of behaviour that Betacommand was banned for in the first place. ] (]) 15:12, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Each new account is removing the archive.is link from several article. Each one removes it from about a dozen articles. And they are doing it in alphabetical order. If there's been a decision to remove it, great.   • Please see this ongoing ANI thread too; there is some that suspect that this may be an editor displeased with the results of the archive.is RFC that is mimicking actions that User:Werieth has done to get him in trouble. The socks also appear either have access to AWB without having asked for it, or are mimicking the edit summaries AWB would leave behind. --MASEM (t) 18:31, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Otherwise I'd agree with everything you've just said here. Whether one recognises that Werith is Betacommand or not, his behaviour for persistent dickishness over this archive.is issue (and mostly his refusal to either not remove cites altogether, or to at least stop whilst it's being discussed) is just the sort of behaviour that Betacommand was banned for in the first place.
