I saw your rant about the IP thing, and I want you to know that you have a big supporter among the users. Why I haven't registered: Two reasons:
  • For starters, It's not my choice. This one is a bit hard to explain, but you have to trust me when I say it would be very hard to do.
  • There seems to be some bias amoungst editors as to whether or not anons should be able to edit. It surprises me that this should even be up to question. How many of you would be here today if you weren't able to edit when you were nothing but an IP? Not many. As you can see by my rant, I feel very strongly about this. We call it Wikipedia, not almost-Misplaced Pages. The anons are what make this encyclopedia what it is today. Without us, there would be no Misplaced Pages users. The reason you don't see that many helpful anons is because they've all registered, sans this guy. In order to prove how needed the anons are, I have decided to stay one. Believe me, if there was no debate on the subject I would constantly be trying to get past what prevents me from registering. But I'm not going to do. There are still those who think anons should be forced to register. I realize what this means-I cannot have a monobook. I cannot be an admin. My IP may change again, and I'll have to start all over. I cannot vote in RFAs. I cannot create pages. I cannot move pages. I will be discriminated against. I will be mistaken for a vandal when I am bold. I will be ignored by users who do not like anons.

Somebody has to do it.

If you still believe the anons are Misplaced Pages's heart and soul, add yourself to the list:

I realized that having a userpage would certainly cheapen it; however, I hate red links. I want an identity, though, that's the thing. People should see that while anons aren't the greatest Wikipedians ever, they can have identities and in fact be good users. It's also how most users get their start. Having a userpage doesn't give me any special advantagies, it just helps me be identified. So there. 69.145.123.171 Saturday, August 12, 2006, 19:48 (UTC) (on AOL :P)
If you're feeling destructive, please go here. I love those things and thus find myself addicted to them. Figured I'd make one of my own. Aren't I special?

Welcome

Welcome to my talk page.

Please add new topics to the bottom of the page. If you post a message on this page, I'll reply on your page

  • If I make a mistake editing a page or if you think I posted something that you consider to be incivil/inflammatory/etc, please try to keep cool, assume good faith and comment here calmly about it. (This goes double for you if you're an admin) Please bear in mind that since this is the Internet, we can't tell a person's tone based on what they type. Plenty of other Wikipedians can attest to the fact that I'm not the kind of person to casually hurl insults whenever I feel like it. The only people who truly deserve my wrath are lamers.
  • I will gladly help out anyone who needs it if I am able to. If you need help and you feel I can help you, then by all means, please comment here.
  • Please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~). If you're new to Misplaced Pages, please see Welcome to Misplaced Pages and frequently asked questions.
  • Please be polite and follow Misplaced Pages Guidelines. Please do not post abusive messages. Post in a manner that you yourself would like to be addressed in, otherwise your comments will be deleted or refactored. Users who continuously disrespect these guidelines will be asked not to post here anymore.
  • If you're new here, then Welcome to Misplaced Pages!

New award

I put a new award up on your Userpage. Hope you enjoy it! Sasquatch t|c 04:36, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Username

I encourage you to obtain a username, post-haste! What if your IP address changes? A username is guaranteed to be permanent. Furthermore, you cannot become an administrator, if you so chose to do so. Please see Misplaced Pages:Changing username for details. Better late than never. --Jay(Reply) 03:33, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

It involves page moving, but yes, it is possible to move all your userpages --Jay(Reply) 17:39, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm seriously sorry about that I reverted the wrong one by mistake. I'm still getting used to vandalproof....sorry again. I have removed the needless warn. Aeon 04:40, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Unexpected

This was incredibly unexpected, finding an entire complete userpage etc here. Viridae 04:58, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

I thought someone was creating subpages for the hell of it (Im on RC patrol w/ vandalproof at the moment). Viridae 05:02, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Huh?

Voop? --GeorgeMoney  05:14, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

lol --GeorgeMoney  05:22, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi!

Why don't you create a screename? RainbowSprinkles 14:12, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Re: Sheesh

Thanks! Also, you're probably sick of hearing this but I really think you should create an account here, even if you only use it for page moves or whatever. Extraordinary Machine 19:16, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

New sig

Hey, I got a new sig. You like it? GeorgeMoney 22:09, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Edit Summaries

That is really funny that I never use them, because I even have a java script that makes me use them and I even ignore that. --GeorgeMoney 22:17, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Ideas

You know, you could create an account like "69.145.123.171.USER". You'll probably encounter a lot less bias, though I bet you already know that. If I were you, I'd write a manifesto about why you don't have an account on your userpage.--The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 22:41, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Oh...well it does make you stand out as one of the most unique editors around here, which is a good thing. I suppose the next step would be creating a pseudo-monobook.--The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 22:47, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Not possible to create a pseudo monobook. You see, with logged in users, MediaWiki imports User:Username/monobook.js and MediaWiki:Monobook.js and MediaWiki:Common.js, but if you are not logged in, it just imports the last two. GeorgeMoney 22:57, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Even if they scare you, they make vandal fighting alot easier. If you have a special script and want to revert someone, all you have to do is press one button. And then to warn them is another button. So it is revert/warn in 2 clicks. And there is special recent changes and you can curve borders in firefox and you can do a ton of stuff. --GeorgeMoney 23:01, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
It's automated and everything and there are special recent changes that watch for words like "insert text" and you don't have to write anything. All you have to do is visit WP:JS and copy the stuff you like in your monobok. --GeorgeMoney 23:14, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
And you can have your own private watchlist and to watch something, just press the "watch" tab. Also, in the recent changes, everything on your watchlist is bolded and there is a "my watchlist" link at the top. --GeorgeMoney 23:22, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
I can help move all your pages and replace every instance of 69.145.123.171 to your new username. And you can use ~~~~ for your custom sig. --GeorgeMoney 23:26, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
This is what the newmessages looks like to me. --GeorgeMoney 23:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
So... You gonna get that accout yet? --GeorgeMoney 05:56, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh :( --GeorgeMoney 05:59, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Account? --GeorgeMoney 03:31, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
You smell like fish, Carpe Diem!--63.26.96.178 01:53, 29 June 2006 (UTC) For those wondering, this is an inside joke. --69.145.123.171 01:57, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Spelling and Grammar

I note that on your user page you spell grammar as "grammer", and vandalism both as "vandalizm" and "vandalism"? Is this what you mean? Just trying to help... xander 21:11, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your help, and maybe I can help you too! Perhaps you could tell me how you reply to my message so fast? Do you have something that notifies you immediately when your page is changed? Can I get that? Maybe if I can type first?

Also is there a way to watch all of your edits, and I could check them for "speling" and "grammer" (hehe)?xander 21:15, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Another Question

You said to come back if I needed more help, so here I am!

I'm sure I created an article yesterday called "Lemon D", about the drum and bass music producer and DJ, but now it's gone? And I can't seem to find it in any deletion logs?? xander 12:31, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

My dear 69

To my dear 69, here's to the kindness IP to ever grace this place - and thanks for lightening up our days with your wonderful mood!
A big hug,
Phaedriel

Dear 69 (I imagine you've been told this before - but it feels so strange to call you that! :), you have no idea how much that "Holy macaroni!" thing made me laugh. And I see I'm not the only one who's been blessed by your good humour - keep it up, a sincere laugh can turn even the worst and darkest day into Heaven.

I'm am truly flattered that you have me in such high regard, hun - tho it is completely undeserved, I'm afraid. My name appearing so often you thought I could be close to a bureaucrat?! oohh well, sweets - leaving the great laughs you've gifted me aside, it is a great pleasure to meet you ;) I, like many others, have seen you around, and allow me to tell you that, should you haven't decided to honor me with your visit, sooner or later I would have dropped by your Talk page anyway - it's not everyday to see such a brilliant and original editor like you obviously are. You're more than welcome to drop by mine should you ever need my help, or simply if you wanna talk. But before I go for now, I really want to give you this humble gift - only once I have ever granted it before, since it is somewhat hard to make me laugh, yet you've managed to do it twice in two sentences! An immense hug, and I hope to see your friendly virtual face again very soon, Phædriel tell me - 23:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

It certainly is, yet nowhere as beautiful as the laugh you gave me after a rather rough day felt in me, my dear 69 ;) *smoochs!* Phædriel tell me - 23:33, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

For the love of God, don't register!

Please, don't register. It seems sometimes that there are people who don't value IP-only contributors, and the fact that you are a prolific and useful editor shows that unregistered users can be and are a vital part of this project. I got pressured into registering, and regret it to this day. Nice userpage, by the way.Captainktainer * Talk 02:07, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, he can do more for the community with a username. GangstaEB (talkcontribscountice slides) 16:06, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Fun with reverting.

Nah, I was just getting the autoedit code from popups. Will (message me!) 17:41, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Welcoming

Haha. I'm a better welcomer than you :P . My last 500 edits were welcomes and that was just yesterday. So I made over 500 welcomes yesterday. --GeorgeMoney 20:17, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Oooh... I just made 100 more welcomes right now. --GeorgeMoney 20:24, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't use a monobook. I go to the log, copy everything into MS Word, use the replace function to remove everything except the names, then wrap {{user:GeorgeMoney/Welcome/Template|NAME GOES HERE}} around it, then paste that into User:GeorgeMoney/Welcome/Page and click the link i provided for myself. No monobook. GeorgeMoney 21:55, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

umm...

umm.... what was this for? --GeorgeMoney 22:27, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

acccount

create one named 69.145.123.171. Is that possible? Just do it! GangstaEB (talkcontribscountice slides) 02:26, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Not possible.--§hanel 04:58, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes it is, notice the extra period at the end? --GeorgeMoney 20:05, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm back

Werll at least till I go to Italy. Unfortunately during my one week between holidays my laptop managed to break and I split up with my long term girlfriend; Misplaced Pages dropped off my priorities list for a while. --Robdurbar 17:53, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Well, you've made a little name for yourself

Hi there- I helped you a few months back with pointers on deleting articles. I'm snowballing the chimes for you to register a username. We could make a helluva monobook for you. My monobook gives me one click rollback, one click nomination for AfD, one click report to AIV, talk messages, contribs lookup and much much more. Listen to GeorgeMoney and just jump right in. Teke 19:26, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

You know, I do recognize your IP whenever I see it. --GeorgeMoney 20:23, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

returned from my retirement because of you all

Hey man. I just wanted to tell you that I have returned due to your’s and others kind messages and emails. I missed this encyclopedia, and I have missed you as well. I really appreciate all that you have done for me. Matt B."aka" Thetruthbelow 06:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

guy 13:48, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Hope things are going well for you. I am enjoying your edits to my vandalism center as well, hopefully that's where the vandalistic edits will be confined. Too bad you couldn't vote, though. --Pilot|guy 13:48, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Registering

I have moved the page. I totally respect your decision, and I think it's good what your doing. Cheers! GeorgeMoney 20:47, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh. I moved the page before you striked out the moving part on my talk :P .GeorgeMoney 20:49, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
You're right in your message. Most people started out as IP's. I even was an IP. GeorgeMoney 21:11, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

How to get a monobook

Hey thanks for the attempted tip. Nice to hear from the famous anon. If you can obtain or otherwise use a windows program like adsubtract or admuncher, they can on-the-fly inject javascript into pages. You could then inject an include() statement onto all pages you visit and use something like popups. Kevin_b_er 03:39, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

And if you use firefox, you can have your own css file by going to your firefox profile and go to the userContent.css and make it like a monobook.css, or you can do an @import. GeorgeMoney 04:01, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Indeed, firefox can include a css which can @import a js from wikipedia. If you post a custom monobook you want someone, I can lock it in a js file under my username. But you could include popups with several methods. Kevin_b_er 04:26, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
You can either make a file in your userspace, or get an admin to create User:69.145.123.171/monobook.css & js. GeorgeMoney 04:34, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

rant

I saw your rant about the IP thing, and I want you to know that you have a big supporter among the users. You are a great contributer, and my only regret is that I can't nominate you for adminship because you are an IP. All the same, stay here and keep on being great. Matt B."aka" Thetruthbelow 05:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Do not continue to revert. you are in violation of the 3RR rule. This is your final warning. ER MD 08:20, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

editing without registering and editing other people's pages is a violation as well

you are in violation 3RR. I will report you for vandalism.
