DYK nomination of Männergarten
Hello! Your submission of Männergarten at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. re:West Triangle Economic Zone
Hi. I don't really have time right now to do an in-depth look at that review, real-life work and all, you know. One tiny comment, though: It doesn't matter whether or not an article has interwiki links or not. That doesn't really concern us at English-language Misplaced Pages. Interwikis are nice and all, but certainly nothing that plays a part in the DYK process. Manxruler (talk) 22:26, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Your DYK nomination of Muggeseggele
Hi, regarding Template:Did you know nominations/Muggeseggele... DYK rules require a new article to be at least 1500 prose characters, and yours is only 978 990 (I added a {{convert}}, which added a few characters). It will have to be expanded to be eligible for DYK. For a tool to count prose characters, see WP:DYKcheck. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 19:36, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

The term is being used as example for must-know Swabian vocabulary in courses of Swabian as a foreign language in Tübingen. Same applies for lectures of books written in swabian.
Usage in sports
Heilbronn is the focus of the quite active Ultimate Fresbee szene in Germany, the region provides the major part of the national teams for men and women. DJK Sportbund Heilbronn Ultimate team has the name Muggeseggele.
Badische Zeitung described Nordic combined champion Georg Hettich fight and training means for the national team for the world championship as Ein Muggeseggele bis zum WM-Ticket (a gnats cock till the world tournament ticket).
No consensus

Re-inserting errots I
Misplaced Pages is no place for humour. Everything is very serious here and we are all terrifically important. |
If you're going to revert my edits to the Gore effect, please fix the errors in spelling and grammar in the text you re-insert. Thanks. Guettarda (talk) 21:13, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Given a religious topic, I always comment my reverts on the Discpage, as done here as well. No sweat with the rest of your edits. I am German, learned Latin, English and some French and Norwegian and insofar took allegate as verb for "allegation, OK its "to allege" as corrected by me after you asked for the cit. I was happily missing the bad discussion athmosphere at WP for more than a year. Seems WP is still trying its best to keep new or former authors out of the pond. Disgusted again Serten (talk) 21:28, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Given the sanctions on climate-change related articles, I'm unwilling to revert your reversion. I would not insert ungrammatical text and spelling errors into articles on the German Misplaced Pages. Why not self-reevrt use to talk page to craft something that's acceptable? Misplaced Pages is a collaborative work - you can't demand that other people leave your misformed text in the article space. Guettarda (talk) 21:39, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- The only "errots" I am reinserting is the one you made on my talking page. Get lost Serten (talk) 21:44, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Bad idea to revert a formal notification. Just because you reverted it doesn't mean that you aren't subject to the sanctions. Guettarda (talk) 21:50, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- As said, I would prefer you would try to respect foreign sources and not starting wikilawyering. Serten (talk) 21:58, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not Wikilawyering. I'm letting you know that the article you've chosen to edit is subject to discretionary sanctions, as I am required to do. And this has nothing to do with foreign sources - it's about your editing. The text you re-inserted includes spelling errors and grammatical errors. Despite your rudeness and hostility, we still have a problem: mangled text in the article which you refuse to fix. Guettarda (talk) 22:07, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hmmm. I reverted your complete deletion of Rettig and Jochen Mai, mentioned my reasons for that on the disc page and and then, in second step, reworded and shortened the part in question according your points. As youre monolingual, I gave you explanations about the authors and their background and the successreception of the book. Have your registered that? I would prefer WP as a place, where multilingual aliens might contribute as well. Serten (talk) 22:15, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Again, that's not the issue I raised here. I'm talking about the fact that the text you inserted - reinserted - is ungrammatical and contains spelling errors. That's the issue I'm raising here. And rather than try to fix your mistakes, you've chosen to respond with insults and hostility. (FWIW, I can muddle my way through written or spoken German. I just don't try to write it. Which is entirely irrelevant here.) Guettarda (talk) 22:36, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Buddy, look on the "errots" you inserted here and the bias you tried to insert in the article entry. Matthew 7:3, sawdust and planks. Serten (talk) 22:40, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- I fixed my errors. You restored it, for whatever reason. Just as you restored your errors in the main article. Don't blame me for your mistakes. I'm only half German; I understand why you think those you're insulting me, but I'm not troubled by them.
And seriously, fix your mangled text. Or not. You're the one who wants the article kept. Poorly written text and spelling errors aren't reasons for deletion, but they sure help nudge people in that direction. But try being civil. Guettarda (talk) 00:59, 28 June 2014 (UTC)

- The WP:Synth point is quite weak, the WP:ONEEVENT not applicable. If you were into improving the article, you would correct the one or other error instead of bullying around and deleting valid content. Any fair suggestion for improvement or real life edits are welcome. As far as I see the AfD discussion and the edit history, you found no support, to the contrary, I am feeling quite happy with the broad support for keeping the article. Warning to User Serten
By looking at what is going on here, it is clear that the edits of User Serten are NOT covered by the sources he cites. See this edit amongst others on this discussion page. In the German Misplaced Pages he has lost the right to flag his edits as a sighted version after this case of vandalism because of exactly this behavior. He continues exactly at the point where he stopped. This is unacceptable. --Hg6996 (talk) 10:54, 5 August 2014 (UTC) Moved from Talk:Environmental impact of wind power --ELEKHH 04:59, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- I have found similar issues with misleading citations, and the 'impressive' block history on the German Wiki for edit-waring and personal attacks is quite concerning. --ELEKHH 04:59, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hg6996 doesnt like me, thats proven, and thats based on his assumptions of my motives, not of my contents. His hate speech against scientists like Nir Shaviv and others is way beyound measure and was regulalry transferred to me. The link Hg6996 provides is completely without value, since erasing a POV block is not at all a proof of POV per se. I have - en detailed the issues raised by Elekhh on a factual base and I am willing to continue the discussion in that manner. Serten (talk) 07:33, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- What you call an impressive block history is only half of the story. Behind user Serten is the same person as behind user Polentario and there it looks just the same. --Hg6996 (talk) 10:30, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yawn. Top Thousand contributor is it? Hg6996, you havent providid any content not discussed any source, youre just runtuing hate speech. I wont discuss with you any further, if its not backed by valid sources or discussion about sources. Serten (talk) 10:43, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

Without some perspective on the history of the article, editors' continuing concerns about it, and how the local consensus was achieved and is being maintained, I'm afraid that the response you're getting on the talk page is just going to escalate and be unproductive. --Ronz (talk) 17:09, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sigh. When Collonney came up, I had a break. "The Pause" helps. Maybe you dont believe me, but I had skimmed already through the various AfDs. Reading the statment "none of persons in question has actually stated anything like opposing that they oppose the consensus on AGW" included. One of my first points was that the principal argument for deletion was about BLP. However, I dont care wether nearly none of the scientists listed really "stated that they oppose the consensus on AGW", its much more important wether someone is able to find sources that claim those scientists are not within the connsensus. This list should be erased from Misplaced Pages since the exclusion from consensus of listed people is not at all mentioned in the secondary sources given. Therefore the inclusion of some or all of these scientists on this lists is original research first and a violation of WP:BLP second and third the list is to be erased sinc it does not define what a scientist is. Why is Varenholt a scientist and Richar Tol not? Serten (talk) 17:35, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Since you've read it, then you know my perspective. It should be deleted.
- I'm hoping someone will come along with an approach to creating real, policy-based consensus. I think you have multiple, good concerns that might be fruitful. --Ronz (talk) 18:06, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Alleged Verbatim copying from sources
Do not copy verbatim from sources as you did here. That constitutes a copyright violation. Repeatedly doing so can get you blocked from Misplaced Pages. Guettarda (talk) 19:53, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- I feel honored that you assume I did verbal quotations. Its however a summary of dozens of pages by me translated into English. However with the religious zeal of the climate controversy, quotations close to a certain sources are often requested for and short sentences would do not at all constitute a copyright violation. I have some experience based on my german account having got banned lifetime once (lifetime was reduced quite quickly, since the sysop was overruled and ridiculized) based on similar accusations on an article draft of mine. I am more cautious since in excerpting third party text in the Wiki area. But thnx for the hintSerten (talk) 20:05, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Two instances now, different sources. Rather worrying, especially since you admit having had a similar problem on de in the past. Guettarda (talk) 20:40, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- Goodness, you have a problem with the article probation. better revert your edits. And I didnt have a similar problem, I then had used copy and paste of some sentences for an article draft about Angela Merkles Schlandkette, not in the article space and I was fully rehabilitated and even told how to avoid URV. I assume as well that in case of a free summary, you would come up with WP:OR ;) Serten (talk) 20:51, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- You encountered a similar problem - ie, one involving verbatim copying. Which means you can't claim to be ignorant of the policy. Your infringement of policy was, thus, done with full knowledge of the policy.
As for article probation...I reverted once. As did you. Only unlike you I opened a discussion to explain my edits. Guettarda (talk) 21:31, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

- I understood the 1 revert rule that any content is not be reverted twice, you and Connolley did each one. So I have been be wrong with that probably, I have not played much in such areas. However, as said, the copyright infringement asks to protect the legal rights of authors and requires a Threshold of originality, wwhich has not been infringed at all in the cases you mentioned. You claim verbatim, you found reworded short statements fully assigned to the authors. Whatever you mean, if youre prefering another wording, its aa wiki and you may change it. However you seem to use purported CR infringement claims as a WP:COATTRACK to exclude valid expansion of an article respectively to defend your personal POV against real science findings relevant for this article. 00:18, 23 August 2014 (UTC) I had tried to open a discussion item, but was facing some edit conflicts. So what ;)
Third opinions
He Serten. Before you give a third opinion, as you did at Talk:Soka Gakkai#Bundestag report, please don't forget to remove the entry from the WP:3O page, so that other editors won't spend time looking into it. Thanks. --Stfg (talk) 20:02, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ah thank you. I have not been aware of the rule, as third opinions requests in the de WP stay. Serten (talk) 20:13, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
Editing other editors talk page contributions....
...as you did here is strongly discouraged. I suspect this was an unintentional slip, but please be careful. --Stephan Schulz (talk) 14:02, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hallo Stephan. thnx for the Info. I did once erase a Connolley statement intentionally, but his happened by accident. Serten (talk) 14:25, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- No worries - fat fingers are a common affliction ;-). --Stephan Schulz (talk) 06:03, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
Clarification
Hello! I need more clarification on the email you sent to me in realtionship with this edit.Wikicology (talk) 09:08, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
Hallo Wikicology ! First, my correct edit finally was . I think Shaman was right to complete sentence, so the edit you refer to was not disruptive. But WP prefer real footnotes instead of internal links. OK? Serten (talk) 10:41, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- Serten I never refered to Shaman edit as distruptive simply because he completed the sentence. Infact I never spot your mistake. But I strongly opposed the remover of footnotes by Shaman. I only expect him to fix the citation correctly perhaps using a webreflink.wp prevers footnotes. Wikicology (talk) 10:59, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
