CatchPhrase celebrity section.
Hi I just had a question about the CatchPhrase Misplaced Pages page. Recently, SolomanMckenzie added in a section about the celebrity episodes being broadcast and the winnings. and the like. There recently has been a crackdown on game shows like The Chase UK or Tipping Point Lucky Stars, where certain other uses have deemed episode guides and lists of celebrities to be fancruft and NOTSTATS (you can check the edit histories of both programmes). Even after this has been mentioned on both programmes, users like Soloman McKenzie likes to add in lists of Celebrities or episode guides which do get reverted. Would this section that this user has added be considered fancruft as well? This is an article for Deletion discussion that occured for a similar game show discussing it. any advice would be appreciated. http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_Hollywood_Game_Night_episodes184.160.203.195 (talk)samusek2~
Batch file
Please explain how I can properly add the link to www.BatToExeConverter.com to the batch file page. My compiler is my lives work. It started a software category in 2003 and it adds many useful commands to batch files that cannot be found elseware.
It also allows users to hide their batch file code and add an icon. They can raise code to ADMIN level execution status and embed their company name and copyright/version information in the file properties.
I was also trying to remove the part of the article that contains malicious batch file code in order to prevent ignoarant people sharing malicious code to hard working people. This can cost time and money to thousands of people if it is not removed. Someone could potentionally lose their job or even worst. Why was I blocked from making these changes.
I am new to editing wiki articles but I feel my changes are necessary. Please help me make these changes.
Always here to help.

Danny Hope
You have removed our additions to the page 'Danny Hope (wrestler). The subject of this page is my partner and we went through the page to make accurate additions, yet this seemed 'less than natural' to you and it has been removed. May I ask why and if you can reinstate our edit please? Thanks.
- @Deliciousdannyhope: The information edited into the article needs some rewording to be considered encyclopedic so can not be readded in its current format. Phrases such as "Sadly for Danny" and "cruelly snatched away" are usually aimed at stiring up emotions towards an articles namesake so would need removing or rewording so that they do not appear to be giving a one sided view of the person in question.
- There is also the issue of a conflict of interest. As you have mentioned (and the username infered) there is a direct link between yourself and the individual the article is about, editing articles whrere you have a vested interest can be a problematic situation. It is suggested that if you wish to edit an article you have an interest in that you request the information be included by placing it on the talk page and requesting another editor uploads it into the article. If you have any more questions regarding this let me know and I'll see how I can help. Amortias (T)(C) 11:12, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure about hoax, as the patent application does exist (but doesn't prove anything is notable). and 'made up one day' doesn't apply. Feel free to try a G number, or MfD. The family information on this article is being added with the intention of defamation. the intention is to create unrest in the employees of this person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.104.24.24 (talk) 18:15, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- Can you explain how the addition of names of his family who already have their own articles on Misplaced Pages are intended to create unrest. Amortias (T)(C) 18:21, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
The family names and relations are not widespread public knowledge. which might be changed with inclusion of names on wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.104.24.24 (talk) 18:27, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- The father has had a Misplaced Pages article since 2008 so must be noteable to have been included, his brother ahs had an article since 2006. their names would be widespread by there inclusion here for such length of time, can you advise how removing the links from this individual article will have a negative effect as severe as quoted in your first statement. Amortias (T)(C) 18:30, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- I have googled the family and am able to find various pages external to Misplaced Pages that explain the references between his family members, if you wish to remove this information you will need to take it to the articles talk page. Amortias (T)(C) 18:35, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Gustavo Deco Page
Dear Amortias I was surprised to learn that you have reverted my changes on the Gustavo_Deco page. The potential copyright issue with http://cns.upf.edu/gustavo/ has been resolved by rewriting the flagged paragraphs under the Training section. Please remove the notice and restore to the new, changed version. Many thanks in advance. MLKringelbach (talk) 22:04, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi MLKringelbach the Copyright issue can be addressed by yourself if you can rephrase the sections but the copyright notice should only be removed by individuals listed in the notice, i.e. administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent. If you can rephrase the sections in question and then wait for one of these users to remove the notice this would be the best way forward. You can retrieve your changes by viewing the previous version under the revision history. Amortias (T)(C) 22:10, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Milenaboskoska (talk) 22:24, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Milenaboskoska:Hello Milenaboskoska.
- There are various requirements to create an article and have it held on the En-Misplaced Pages. Articles need to have links to reliable sources these provide evidence that the article is notable. If you can include information in the article that shows how it is noteable you can then back this up by linking to other websites such as news organisations by using inline citations. If you can meet all these criteria then there is a much greater chance of your article being maintained in the english wikipedia. Amortias (T)(C) 22:35, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

@WhiteKnightNews: Hi, the reason your addition was removed was due to the nature of the edit. Adding information to an article taht explicitly sends people to a website you own/are involved with comes off as highly promotional and also displays as a conflict of interest. Misplaced Pages has a strict policy of non-romotion and as such this information should not be added by yourselves. if you wish to have it added you should loga request on teh articles talk page where a non-involved editor can evaluate and if appropriate include it into the article.Amortias (T)(C) 20:46, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Edit-warring
Hello, I see you are engaged in an edit war on User talk:184.4.123.171. Please familiarize yourself with WP:3RR which I must inform you has at this time been violated, and please also read WP:UP#CMT which addresses blanking of read comments by users on the own pages. Thank you. --The Old Boy In Town (talk) 19:51, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
@The Old Boy In Town: Hi, my understanding is that WP:3RR does not apply in this situation as the user removing the information is a user blocked as a WP:SOCK and as such should not be editing under any of their sock accounts, any eidts they make using these accounts should be reverted as per exemption 3. Amortias (T)(C) 19:55, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- I was edit conflicted but was just about to say the same thing. The 3RR exemption "Reverting actions performed by banned users, and sockpuppets of banned and blocked users" seems to apply. Amortias, consider mentioning the exemption in your edit summaries like Rv, 3RR exempt - blocked user.
- It can avoid misunderstandings. Chillum 19:59, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
Noted. Amortias (T)(C) 20:00, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- It is not a problem for me personally, I'm not worried either way. Your edits (Amortias) show you to be a good faith editor so I'm saying don't fall into any traps, I definitely won't be raising a case with admins. Obviously if your actions were correct then that's fine. All the best. --The Old Boy In Town (talk) 20:41, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thats fine, I tend to deal specifically in the areas of anti-vandalism/damage control so a lot of my edits would definetly fall foul of WP:3RR and WP:UP#CMT if it wasnt for the exemptions. No harm no foul. Amortias (T)(C) 20:49, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Using PROD
Hi Amortias. This is a just a friendly reminder that PROD tags that have been removed cannot be added back to the article. As Misplaced Pages policy explains, anyone, including the article's author, is allowed to object to a proposed deletion and permanently prevent it. This is different from speedy deletions (only the article's author may not remove CSD tags) and AfD (nobody may remove tag while discussion is in progress). If you still believe the article should be deleted, feel free to nominate it at Articles for Deletion and remember to notify the original author. While I understand that AfDs take more time than PROD, it is important that we adhere to policy and use it only for uncontroversial deletions. Thanks, Altamel (talk) 18:11, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- To clarify: this was concerning the article Faculty of Economics-Prilep. Altamel (talk) 18:15, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm, my bad thought was restoring the yet again removed by the author CSD tag. Amortias (T)(C) 20:55, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

semir osmanagich
What I really put are FACTS, which are always OBJECTIVE, because they are true and what is subjective is somebody's opinion... I am open to different opinions and I also included some of negative or critical opinions in a text! I have no problems with that... But, if Your whole text is based on negative opinions or few years old information INSTEAD of facts, maybe because facts include for example this person's success in some area or rewards or so then I wish to ask You: does it mean that "objectivity" in case of Mr Osmanagich for You or for the wiki? is that HAVE to be given exclusively NEGATIVE "information" and opinions about that person? Because it is obvious that ANY positive FACT, not to talk about opinion is not tolerating at all... Or?

Your message re William Edward Bauer
I am William Edward Bauer. The entry for my name was rudimentary and inadequate, and seemed to have been inserted by my former employer a long time ago. I simply substituted details which I have used for many years. I hope the replacement is still there.
- Hi Bibau,
- The edits in question can be recovered, however, the edits in question should not be made to an article about yourself as there is a clear conflict of interest with regards to editing an article about yourself. If you wish I can arrange to have the information posted onto the talk page where an uninvoved editor can evaluate the information and incorporate it into the article. Amortias (T)(C) 20:18, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
I probably know more about me than anyone else. The c.v. is a straight chronological summary.
But if an editor wants to check it out, that's fine by me. Bibau (talk) 20:25, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
- I've requested additional sets of eyes to look at the article just so we can make sure no-one misinterprets your editing of it. Amortias (T)(C) 20:30, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Delete of the edit regarding source code of DWB
Dear Amortias,
DWB is maybe the most important historical software version of troff. To most users of troff it is very likely unknown that the source code of DWB had been made available by AT&T under EPL licence. Even I did not know it one month ago before when I found a notice about it in a forum thread. That this source code is available is a important note on a web page about troff.
May I ask a question: There is a link to Heirloom troff (the third). What is the diference to my edit? If my edit would be promotion, then this link would it be too. If this link is not, then my edit can't be it.
At the time when I get interested in troff these links had been very important to me to find usable implemantations. It is a good way to ask wikipedia to find links to other sources.
Kind regards, Carsten
- Hi Carsten, the reason the edit was deemed promotional was that it included a link to a webpage that contained your username, if you wish to have it added then it would be best done by requesting it via the talk page. In the same way that we wouldnt want someone with a Bill.gates.microsoft username adding a link to Microsoft we have to be careful about other inclusions that appear to be promotional. Hope this makes sense if not give me another shout and I'll try to assist. Amortias (T)(C) 22:10, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Regarding the deletion
(I don't know how to reply directly...)
So I had been stupid to edit this with the true user name. Other would to this with an alias. But is this fair? And the result for the user of wikipedia is the same--the links are there. Like Heirloom or neatroff or mandoc, this is exactly the same thing. And the link is totally on topic--at the moment the site lacks a link to DWB.
- From what I can tell it looks like honesty not stupidity. Theres no issue with requesting that information you host or created is used in an article. We just have to be careful about self-promotion and things like that (this is usually an issue from large companies or individuals who wish to promote them or their organisations - this doesnt appear to be the case here), if the information is valid then there shouldnt be an issue including it it just needs an uninvolved set of eyes to give it a once over. If you want to pop the link onto the talk page I'll see what I can do about getting someone to give it a look over and hopefully approval or advice on what needs to happen next.
- I'll drop a message on your talk page with some helpful links on best practice and guidance etc that might be worth reading up on the policy in question for this one is here.
- You can reply directly by clicking the edit button by the section and continuing after the text already entered. Amortias (T)(C) 22:29, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
I have changed the repository name to the neutral name https://github.com/n-t-roff/DWB3.3 . The former name had not been appropriate--I agree with you. If you still think the edit should stay removed it is ok for me.

Hi, Amortias! I'm a newby at Misplaced Pages. I'm a native Russian speaker and a professional English-Russian translator. The article Enterprise bookmarking you've deleted wasn't a test! It was a translation -donation in Russian to your article.
- Hi, as this is the English Misplaced Pages the majority of contributions should be in English, there are soe exceptions such as stating the names of peple locations or object in their native language, these do need to be marked up as such so that they dont get deleted (as your contribution did) as a non-english edit. Feel free to include the text again but you will need to place with a translation(if one exists on the page) or include one so that it can be understood in the main language fo the site. Joe La Placa is not married to Ivey Sullivan. They are divorced.
Naming his current partner and his children and where they live has put his family at risk. Please remove this immediately.
There are many other inaccuracies on the page. I will address them in a subsequent emai
86.139.78.170 (talk) 00:31, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, if they are no longer married then you need to cite a reliable source to evidence this, the section would then need to say when they were divorced not remove the fact they ever were.
- Can you also provide an explanation as to how providing names and a general location for their home endangers them, if so then this should not be removed but also reported to emergency@wikimedia.org Amortias (T)(C) 00:36, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

A mistake or computer hacking...
Hello Amortias...I am Lawrence Forde, and I'm responding to your latest message to me. I did not edit or make any addition to the Alicia Keys page at Misplaced Pages. While I value Misplaced Pages I do not add comments or edit webpages at Misplaced Pages. Please advise me as to how I might prevent this distasteful occurrence from occurring in the future.

- Hi there, the problem appers to be with you working from an IP address rather thatn a dedicated account, as IP addresses change form time to time with most internet providers it is possible the IP address that you normally connect with was in use by someone else at some point, the best thing to do would be to register an account (even if you ahve no plan to edit) so as to prevent this from happening, this will also mean if someone using an IP address that is also used by you and it gets blcoked you will still be able to access the site and work as usual. The Platters
Please advise why you have reverted my edits to The Platters Wiki Page? The changes I am making are an attempt to correct the inaccuracies in the posting and are all based on current law.
Thank you,
Fred1215
- Hi Fred1215,
- The information was restored as although they may not have had a legal right to be using this name the information was still accurate in regards to them using it. I have noted that your later edits that provide information about the use of the name by other groups and individuals, this is a more suited method of updating the information available, by adding evidence that shows it has been used and the evidence showing why it should not provides a much more balanced (and neutral) point of view in line with Misplaced Pages guidelines. Amortias (T)(C) 21:49, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for your response Amortias. I must, however, disagree with you. Those you have listed are NOTcurrent line-ups of the group. The only Current Line-up consists of the individuals in the group that I listed and cited with authorization to carry on the legacy today. If you would like to list the folks that you reference as people that may have used The Platters name in the past, then that would certainly be accurate, however, representing them under Current Line-Up's is not true nor supportable.
Thanks,
Fred1215
From User:EyesWhyde re. Message about article on The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA
I do not at all agree that my major edit of the article on the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA is not constructive. It is an accurate article based on thorough research. It is in fact far more accurate and constructive--and based on facts and not opinions, anecdotes, gossip etc.--than the previously existing article. Some users who clearly have views and opinions that strongly disagree with the views of the Revolutionary Communist Party raise a red herring argument questioning the neutrality of the article. The article does in fact conform to Misplaced Pages NPOV standards. As to WP:CONSENSUS, this too is a red herring. The fact is that the previous article was a mess and not up to Misplaced Pages standards and needed major work which I did. A much better article was produced. Prior to my posting of the article no "consensus" existed about the article. Now some people who clearly have an axe to grind with the Revolutionary Communist Party are wrongly trying claim that it is not NPOV and find any specious argument they can find to justify reverting the new article. Further as to WP:CONSENSUS if an article needs major editing, it is not wrong to do so. This is NOT edit warring. Both my intentions and what I have done are not edit warring. However, the response of some Misplaced Pages users who are very opinionated and biased, has been to engage in edit warring against this article.EyesWhyde (talk) 23:12, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Image removed
Hi. Thank you for correcting my blundering newbie mistake. I just thought the picture I added, or tried to add, would bring a nice illustration, and hopefully shed some light, as illustrations will, to the history of the musical score, of the controversial piece, subject of the article. I realize I went the wrong away about it, and risking to abuse your patience, I would like to ask you the favor of doing it for me, as i have no experience at all, in making internal wikilinks - I'd like the picture to show, illustrating the article, not buried under an "external links" list. Also, I don't hold an account, so it seems from what I read, that I cannot upload to wiki commons, in worder to make an internal link. Here's the only link I have to the picture:
Thank you for your help and your work in keeping wiki a useful tool for all.
Best regards,

I added ALL books he wrote before his death...to complete its UNCOMPLETED profile. So now, there is no useful informations for lecturers..only 3 books are noticed. Would it be possible to recover my works? It was not a test Thanck U Sam
- Hi, the information you added while potentially acurate (I have no knowledge on this particualr individual) were included in the incorrect place which broke a section of the article - the edit was undone to fix this. To add this information you would need to add a new section to the page by adding the following text ==Bibliography== to the page before the ==References== text, under this you will be able to add the information regarding the references, if you want help with adding the information once you have created the new section let me know here and I will offer what aadditional help I can. Tagging A1 or A3
Hello Amortias. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Misplaced Pages. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.Template:Z149 P. S. I'm talking about this edit. Please take a look here. Thanks again, Jim Carter (from public cyber) 13:22, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Rochelle Coleman's Page
Hello Amortias
The "User: Rochelle Coleman" page was deleted because it violated G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. I understand it may have seemed like an advertising scheme, but that was not my intention. I am new to Misplaced Pages so I may have violated some rules without meaning to. I realize the external links I provided were a red flag, so I will remove and not add them again. I am not Rochelle Coleman so my intention when creating the page was to tell the unique and interesting story of a friend. In no way shape or form was my intention to advertise any company. With this being said, I was wondering if there is any way the page could be brought back, or if I could receive the information i had posted on the page, in order to help me outline a new page which I will create (with all of Misplaced Pages's rules in mind of course). Thank you for your help.

- Hi Czafitdenes. Information on Misplaced Pages needs to be backed up by reliable sources from a neutral uninvolved party. If you have a conflict of interest as you may have being involved with him profesionally you would need to request this information be added on the talk page of the article providing evidence to back up the information. This can then be reviewed by an uninvolved editor who can include it or advise what else is needed for it to be included in the article. Amortias (T)(C) 20:09, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Amortias. I need some help. I would like to upload a photo about Umek, but there is no free about him. I have some copyrighted and I can get permission from him. What can I do, how can I upload it to the infobox? Thanks a lot :) Czafitdenes (talk) 19:57, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, you would need to get the copyright holder to read and undertake the actions on this page which releases the image to wikipedia for use.Once his is done it will be able to be uploaded. Amortias (T)(C) 20:01, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

ANI closure
Thanks for your contributions and activities around number of noticeboards. You are doing an impressive job.
I don't think that you should have closed this issue. Last month, the page was discussed on ANI because of misconduct carried out by some editors. Check , .
What you have to say now? OccultZone (Talk • Contributions • Log) 02:52, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- @OccultZone: As there was no administrator involvement and the issue was between 2 editors who were just edit warring it appeared more appropriate to move the report to WP:AN3. I closed the report after raising it at this location. I felt that as it appeared to be unrelated to the previous issue it should be discussed in the appropriate place. If you feel this was in error feel free to reopen it but I did not feel there was a need for two reports on the same issue. Amortias (T)(C) 08:10, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- No worries and thanks for explaining your action. OccultZone (Talk • Contributions • Log) 08:20, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
My recent edit.
Hi, I got your message regarding my edit that you reversed. I like to know why it was reversed since it is factual? The initial explanation for "assault weapon" is incorrect and needed to be explained better. The article as it stands now after reversal and edited is incorrect as well. The first part starting with "In the United States, assault weapon is a legal and political term used in firearms laws to define and restrict specific firearms." That entire paragraph is false. The legal classifications that i tried to explain are by defined ATF (Alcohol,Tobacco and Firearms)that regulates these firearms. There isn't any category named "assault weapon" because a "weapon" can be anything and "assault" just describes an attack. So please explain to me why this was denied. Jorgen — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midwinternight (talk • contribs) 17:40, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Midwinternight
- Your edits were reverted as you removed information that was backed up by external sources and replaced it with unsourced information. If you add information to an article (especially if you have removed evidenced information) then you need to back up your additions with reliable sources. On your first edit you also falied to provide an edit sumary explaining your editing. Amortias (T)(C) 17:50, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
The "reliable sources" backing up the paragraph I object to are all opinions from four different anti-gun media outlets. Is that what Misplaced Pages is all about? Quoting media outlets?
In my edit I referred to ATF as my source. That's at least a Government source and if you try buying a firearm it will be very clear to you what definitions the Government use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midwinternight (talk • contribs) 20:00, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Misplaced Pages relies heavily if not almost entirely on sourced information, the information you added had no sources to confirm what was being said. You would need to include inline citations to back up where someone could find this information to verify it. The information you removed had these citations included and they have been decided by the community to be reliable (I make no claim on the reliability of these sources as gun regulation is different in my country of residence so the rules and government policies I am aware of are not the same) if you wish to iclude your information again it stands a better chance of remaining included if you can provide links to this information, this link should provide you with the guidance on how to reference information included on Misplaced Pages. Amortias (T)(C) 20:37, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, I will find exact sources. I do find it, shall we say "questionable" that Wiki uses mainstream media as a "reliable source" when we all know they are nothing but a part of the political campaigns. Referring to there own articles as a "reliable source" is a great way of distorting information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midwinternight (talk • contribs) 22:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Amortias,
Sending this again because I forgot to sign with 4 tildes. I tried to add an external link to this page. You have removed it because you thought it was a test, which maybe because I am finding the Misplaced Pages systems confusing.
Any chance you could reinstate it and put it in the "External Links" section please? Llantiliocastle (talk) 10:16, 7 September 2014 (UTC) 07/09/2014
- Hi, moved to external links. if you have something that is removed you can still see it by going into the page and selecting view history, this will let you see anything from any of the previous version of the page to copy/paste it into the correct place. There wasnt an extenal links section o this page so I have created one. You can add an external links section to any page without one by including ==External Links== before the ==References== line and including them there. Amortias (T)(C) 10:42, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

I find the information on Marvell Academy very biased and dated. The article leaves out information about the current school and it's mission and purpose. It is an incomplete history that does not pertain to current faculty, staff and students. I believe this article falsely leads readers to think this school still operates as a segregation school. Editorofcontent (talk) 18:23, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. If this is the case you would be better placed editing the article to bring it up to date. If you have more up to date information then you can replace the current content to bring it in line with its current setup. Attack pages {{db:G10}} are pages that have been specifically created and used solely for the purpose of attacking an individual, organisation or another article. As this page was accurate it cant be considered an attack page but just out of date. Hopefully you can bring it in line to reflect its current status. Amortias (T)(C) 18:28, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Tulsa race riot
You guys make a mockery of Misplaced Pages with bullying tactics to prevent real information from reaching people. You and the others have not and will not actively discuss the article Tulsa Race Riot because you know you will lose that battle. Instead you war with technicalities and using bullying tactics. This is brigading and its been done for years. You hope to silence me with your friends, but all I have to do is attract more people to this situation. Then what will you do? Try and ban everyone? Is THIS how change is made here? By "consensus" instead of what is actually right? If enough voices say something is true, then its true? The logic you are using is pathetic. I hope you can sleep well at night using bullying tactics and "shouting louder" in order to try and steam roll over others. Also notice I have not called you any names and there is no personal attack here at all. I am speaking of your tactics, which are a complete joke and an affront on truth and knowledge. Your tactics are the worst when it comes to unleashing true information. Your tactics are sneaky, and I hope others see your tactics for what they are. Cquest (talk) 23:37, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- If you have reliable sources to confirm the changes you have made then please feel free to present these at the talk page, a reliable source will swing a lot more consensus than repeatedly claiming something as the truth. The enough voices saying something making it the truth unfortunatley does not work as evidence to support a claim. Millions of people claim the universe was created by a Big Bang with millions of others claiming it was Divine Creation this is why Misplaced Pages works on the bsis of sourced information and not what is considered the truth. Amortias (T)(C) 23:46, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Again, this is rubbish that completely dismisses what has gone on with the Tulsa Race Riot for nearly 100 years now. It was covered up. It was finally said to have existed much later. The term domestic terror attack doesnt come into popular lexicon until 1994. There is no rush for America to call it a terrorist attack. Yet, its a pick and choose problem.
https://en.wikipedia.org/Domestic_terrorism_in_the_United_States
Bombing of Los Angeles Times building - 1910 Wall Street Bombing - 1920
These are said to be domestic terror attacks but I don't see any sources having to SAY they are domestic terror attacks. Its just accepted by what HAPPENED that its a domestic terror attack. You don't need a source to STATE that. You need facts to show substantiate, and then you need to source those facts. FOr example, we don't have to show proof that Phil Ivey is a poker player, we see him playing poker to know this. We then note that he has played poker and source that this has indeed happened. We don't need to nor do we source someone calling him a poker player as evidence that he is a poker player. That is NOT how wikipedia works or has ever worked. The evidence that he is a poker player is the action of him playing, which is then sourced.
So if you want every time someone has called something something to be sourced, instead of the facts of the event itself, then the entire system needs to be uprooted. But we all know this. This is just a tactic, its an excuse to justify actions instead of actually confronting the issues head on - what happened in fact was indeed a domestic terror attack by definition and there is no disputing that as the facts are in the wikipedia article already. You can't dispute those facts, and those facts add up to domestic terrorism. But none of you will actually READ the article to see that. Stop with the farce. This is a circus. Response to your message
Hello Amortias,
Yes, I recently edited the page on Islamic Sports. As I understand, Misplaced Pages is open for anyone to make contributions and edits. Also, everything I intentionally scrapped (which you restored) is not "encyclopedic content", is from unverified sources, therefore it should be open to editing. Secondly, I did write an edit summary. I would have explained further but the edit summary had a word count limit to how many words could be used. The reason I edited the page is because the content currently on the page is an inaccurate portrayal of "Islamic sports", and I edited the page to contribute a redefinition and some facts that might be of benefit for someone. I do not appreciate your removal of the content I posted without just cause or reason.
So I think you should review the reasons why you restored the content that I edited, and restore my contribution; and no, I did not make the edit by mistake.
Thank you.

Re. Chefallen - Adam Neira discussion re. Tekhelet. Please read the details of the case below...Thank you...

---|
11:15 am Paris Tues. 16th Sep. 2014 To Chefallen, Please inform me how I can send messages to you in the correct manner via Misplaced Pages, and also how to use the Talk page for Tekhelet. BTW, all the correspondence you have written plus edits, deletions and changes have been recorded. I keep excellent records. Jurisprudence and issues of truth and justice interest me greatly. As a litigant I won a very important court case on Feb. 2nd 1998 at the Melbourne Magistrates Court. (There was twelve months of preparation for the case ! I defeated two QC's) My grandfather was a well respected solicitor in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Anyway let me go through a few things with you now...I will respond to your little asides and put downs. (Not sure who is paying you either. It would be fun to meet you face to face in a bar for a little chat nu...) Your writings begin with C : Mine are prefaced with AN : C: Adam, you have an opinion about tekhelet AN : Gee thanks for the condescension. I don't need or seek your validation. G-d knows what I am up to. C : and that's fine. You might even be able to find AN : “Even be able to find”...Wow ! You make it sound as if everyone wears the blue thread. Go to the Western Wall of the Old City on a Friday Shabbat and count the number of observant Jewish men who are wearing tzitizit. You will see maybe 2% maximum who wear the blue thread. I’ve spoken to various Rabbis and their assistants over the last six months about the issue. I visited Lederman’s Shul in Bnei Brak on the afternoons of the 28th and 29th May for five hours total. You must be aware that Rav. Chaim Kanievsky has not made a psak on this issue. C: support for your contention that "there is no unanimous decision by all of the current leading Jewish sages that the claims of the Ptil Tekhelet organisation are true" if you were to go about adding this to the article in an encyclopaedic way AN : What is an “encyclopaedic way”. You are trying to undermine my presentation by getting bogged down in semantics. Sabotage by pedantry and nit picking. C : that is, adding the statement in a neutral tone of voice AN : What is a neutral tone of voice when writing ? Your use of language is very poor. Of course when you are presenting evidence to a court you present facts. A fact is not “neutral”. It is just that. A fact ! C : and citing reliable sources, (not yourself) or your original research. AN : In a court of law evidence is presented by witnesses, prosecutors and defenders. The evidence can be in the form of written words, witnesses, objects, DNA etc. etc. On all these counts in front of an honest judge with my claims on tekhelet I will be proven to be a “Reliable Source”. C. However, what is not fine is the following: Disruptive editing Deleting sourced statements such as , and adding material sourced to or referring to yourself, such as here: , ; see WP:COS is disruptive editing and unacceptable. AN : Any typographical errors I have made or with editing errors are a result of unfamiliarity with the Misplaced Pages platform. But the factual, content rich parts of my updates are correct. They are not “Disruptive Editing”. C : Soapboxing An article is not a discussion forum or a platform for your personal views. So adding long (or even short) commentary such as is unacceptable. AN : When discussing certain complex subjects especially ones as esoteric and clouded in mystery as Tekhelet, one must present certain commentaries. A responsa in Jewish law IS a form of commentary/counsel. C : Sockpuppetry If you edit an article using your user name, then using your IP address User:87.91.50.226 to repeatedly make the same edits that have been challenged by other users is in contravention of the Wikepedia policy on sockpuppetry. AN : If you read the history of my edits, you will see that only in my eagerness to present my findings did I edit via an IP Address without logging in. This was a result of enthusiasm not an effort to be anonymous. FYI, over the last 14 years I have been actively presenting my counsel on a vast range of subjests on many media platforms all around the world. I am proud to say I always use my real, legal name. Unlike others I don’t snipe from afar. C : "Ownership" Please stop assuming ownership of articles. Behavior such as this is regarded as disruptive and could lead to edit wars andpersonal attacks, and is a violation of Misplaced Pages policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. No-one owns an article. So telling me "Please desist from editing my revisions to the "Tekhelet" page" and "Desist forthwith from removing my edits/updates" is way out of line. AN : Interestingly, the Intellectual Property for making tekhelet in the first place was private. Someone, i.e. the High Priests family, did own the Intellectual Property. When the truth comes out about Tekhelet and how it was rediscovered the Misplaced Pages Page willn need to reflect this. If Misplaced Pages is to be reputable form of media it must protect the rights of various companies and organisations to their intellectual property. You will not find various pieces of confidential information, e.g. the secret recipe for Coca Cola on Misplaced Pages. When you are slandered, libelled or defamed it is quite within your right to stand up to the abuse. Also, you should maybe look up the concept of lesee majeste. C : Threatening other users. Please stop your disruptive behaviour. Your behaviour is verging on harassment. Misplaced Pages prides itself on providing a safe environment for its collaborators, and harassing edits potentially compromise that safe environment. If you continue behaving like this, you may be blocked from editing. It's completely unacceptable to make direct or indirect threats such as "A warning to you...Be very careful who you cast aspersions on" as here: and and here . See above; you do not own the article and do not have the authority to tell another editor not to edit it. That behavior constitutes bullying, violates the civility principles of Misplaced Pages and is not tolerated. AN : You are being disingenous. Trying to suggest that by defending myself and my findings from slander, deletion, silencing and abuse that is somehow bullying. You are trying to frame the debate and use the “rules” of Misplaced Pages to fix the outcome. Thus it is not a fair court hearing. See the following article for how someone, i.e. MK Litzman also tried to “set someone up”. www.timesofisrael.com/lipman-denies-making-death-threat-against-haredi-mk/ I am also a very polite and civil person, but one must react to abuse on one’s person... C : September 2014 You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Misplaced Pages. I've reverted your edits to the article based on all of the above and as noted in the edit comments. If you want to change something in the article, open a discussion on the talk page and state what you want there. If you gain consensus from other editors, we can add it in. If you simply revert to your changes again, I will take this case to the administrators with the request that you be banned from editing Misplaced Pages as someone who does not seem to be willing to work collaboratively and within the policies of Misplaced Pages. Chefallen(talk) 02:59, 16 September 2014 (UTC) AN : I repeat...I am happy to work within the parameters of Misplaced Pages, if it is a fair court setting, and my findings and research can be presented, so please inform me how the Talk forum works. How does one access it ? Is it a “to and fro” process ? Does one post one’s questions then they are answered ? I await your responses to my questions here. I repeat...I keep extensive, detailed notes of all important events and proceedings in my life. It is a habit I have developed since a young man. G-d loves truth and justice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AdamNeira (talk • contribs) 20:19, 16 September 2014 (UTC) |

Every user is able to see other editors contributions by searching for them under the contributions link near the top of any wikipedia page (as well as several other places). If you coudl provide a link to the specific edit in question that you responded to it would be helpful, this can be done by going into your contribution (link mentioned above) finding the one where you replied, right clicking on the date and time of the change and then copying it and then pasting it between a set of brackets on this page. this will let me see the exact reponse made at that time without any of the future edits carried out by other individuals. Welcome to wikipedia? I've been making several edits for several years. Who are you to tell me it's non-constructive or that I've violated some rule? You seriously couldn't have done this in a more polite way or specified what is wrong? You remind me of a lot of people who have really irked me. Go back to kindergarten and learn some tact.

1. I also did not appreciate the tone of your original post. I thought Brits (I assume your are British (or at least Commonwealth-ish) by how you spell) were the world leaders in manners. Exactly how was I supposed to know to not add the change? Is there something hidden somewhere that I am supposed to check? I've been doing this for quite a while and have never had this issue before. Also, from what I saw, I still didn't see anything that said there have been prior times of people doing the same thing. And don't worry, I don't plan on further editing the page to spite you or anything, but it appears from what I've seen that I'm not the only one who has had this issue with you.
But for real, dude..... damn. And does anyone really OWN the Alien 3 page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.204.114.204 (talk) 22:50, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

No need to "threaten" me or anything. I simply removed "India" from "Relations with Samoa" because it didn't have any content under it. It obviously makes no sense having a title floating aimlessly in the middle of an article without any content or text related to it. In the spirit of good faith, I did go check all the Edit History of the page thinking that maybe someone had erased/deleted the content about eventual India-Samoa relations by mistake, but then I saw that no, a user had really just randomly added a title without any single line of content, any single font, even a simple mention saying "Samoa maintains diplomatic relations with the Republic of India". The way it was (and is, now that you reverted it), it makes no sense and has no point in being in the page. It looks like poorly don work.
I then checked said user's page, and I realized that said user had done this to many other pages - just included a title saying "Republic of India" in many countries' bilateral relations' pages, for no real reason. All said changes took place ages ago, so it isn't even possible that said edition were still "ongoing". I removed such blank entries from the pages attempting to clean up this possible vandalism, and I honestly believe that's what ought to be done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.97.7.247 (talk) 17:32, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi the "threats" as such are standard escalating warning given when issues are found within articles. The removal of content should always be backed up with an explanation in the edit summary at the bottom of the edit section, this was the cause for concern with regards to the edits carried out. As there appeared to be a pattern to the removal without explanation this did cause it to be picked up by edit filters taht warn various editors about activity that is classifed as cause for concern. If you wish to remove this information while providing an explanation in the edit summary this will be fine. Amortias (T)(C) 17:38, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Help needed
I don't know what this user is up to but he/she again seems to be engaged in an edit war. He/she had been deleting all sentences with the citation needed tag, and sometimes even referenced information saying that they are against Wiki's policies, even though they were not so. I didn't go for a 3O as we had discussed on our talk pages, and not the article talk page. And he/she had told me many things which really hurt me. I had gone to the administrator's helpdesk, but there all supported him/her. Just by saying that he is a good user and that we can learn a lot from him/her. But that really seemed biased. Since then I have tried to talk to him/her nicely, accept his/her views and even thank him/her for his/her edits. But is this deletion of info correct, even though we can add a citation need tag. And is my inclusion wrong/correct? There's a reference so I deleted the cn tag. I have not come here to win over your belief. But just to intervene and catch hold of the wrongdoer, be it me or RedPenOfDoom. Nor am I rebuking him/her, or asking you to catch hold just of him/her. Please help me!--Tamravidhir (talk) 04:56, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think any further help will be needed 'cause as far as my perception is concerned i think the matter has been sorted out. I have added the required tags and references in the concerned article, though TheRedPenOfDoom never turned up (on the article's talk page). But I would request you to go through the edits I made to Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. And I would also like to notify you that TheRedPenOfDoom once again got himself/herself involved in an edit war here. I would just request you to go through this. It's not that I have a grudge against him/her. But I feel that it demotivates other users (as it had demotivated me long back), who may have their own opinions. He/she should instead discuss calmly with others on the concerned article's talk page. Well, that's what I feel. I would not like to generalise it. And if I do so that would be too wrong and unfair on my part. --Tamravidhir (talk) 06:49, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Jason Gann
Hey Amortias! I just realized I totally did that wrong! I'm a huge Wilfred fan, so I wanted to make sure the information was up to date. I was attempting two major issues: 1. It recently came out in various (mostly Australian) periodicals that Gann was indeed innocent of the mentioned assault. It's sort of difficult to weed through. I tried to shorten it to a sentence or two. 2. I also wanted to restructure Gann's Wiki to highlight some of his other notable accomplishments, such as his band, and other experiences. Where I went wrong: 1. Unfinished, I pasted it ALL AT ONCE a. Tiresome (and down with the flu) I had restructured a basic Wiki not including the other accomplishments. b. I updated and shortened the "assault" section. I understand this may have seemed incomplete -- and is totally understandable! Do you recommend I reconfigure section by section or complete then paste? Thanks so much for your understanding! I'm a ravenous researched and stickler for the facts, but a lot of times the citations can play games with my eyes. -itsashaunparty — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itsashaunparty (talk • contribs) 21:08, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- Section by section is best you can then include an edit summary for each explaining the changes in a bit more detail rather than cramming lots of cahnges into a small description space. Amortias (T)(C) 21:10, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

Andrés_Chávez
Hello Amortias, about the Andrés Chavez article https://en.wikipedia.org/Andr%C3%A9s_Ch%C3%A1vez, the source I cited (http://www.cronica.com.ar/article/details/13758/chavez-hizo-el-gol-y-lo-festejo-con-una-travesti) is, in fact, very reliable. "Diario Crónica" is a daily-issued newspaper in Argentina, one of the most best selling. It also has a 24/7 News TV Channel called "Crónica TV" and is one of the most watched.
To support even more strongly the story about Chavez and his transvestite couple, here are some other links from other reliable sources:

Hello there I have question regarding a user
Hello I have a question regarding a user I was trying to follow the conversation between Sirrebral (cerebral) and your post.
Since I edited the posting on his page and added another association on it. The user is accusing me of representing the organization and therefore a conflict of interest on an article I recently wrote??
I have already warned him of this issue of disruptive editing on the Tahoe Park article. I also let them know Sirrebral lives in Sacramento. I realize the only issue they had was adding the TPA association to the website and changing the paragraph with TPNA listed. I believe Sirrebral is a representative of TPNA. The paragraph they are guarding is TPNA promoting / advertizing under the heading 1990's -Present .
Their link under 1900's-present are not even verifiable the links and are dead and redirect the reader must pay to view their citations. "Articles for which thorough attempts to find reliable sources to verify them have failed" That is why I deleted them. Here are the sentences that appear in the article "The organization worked on behalf of many community concerns, including traffic, absentee landlords, and crime.. " They are redirect links to a pay site. They keep putting it back up despite have no verification for citation. Yet by the same token have no problem taking down verifiable info posted by others. After that they grew hostile becoming bullies on their article website despite not following the guidelines on wiki.
Also they decided a new article I created for the association TPA was to be followed and flagged for deletion on the basis cited by Sirrebral as conflict of interest and notability. Sirrebral approached the person I was talking to online about making improvements and cited I was representing the group I was posting with 0 proof. The page was then flagged for a merge to Sirrebral's page or deletion.
I let them know there are many neighborhood associations articles online at wiki most do not have multiple notable outside links yet are a website article on wiki. Here is one that only cited it's own website all the way through. Yet the are an existing page nothing notable or notable citations. They are just like the association I posted for TPA. I feel like I am being targeting by Sirrebral.
I really do not think my article needs to be merged as they are a stand alone association just like all the others. I have outside verifiable notable press citations in the local press. I don't think it needs to be deleted out of conflict of interest at all as it is being suggested because of conflict of interest. I would love your insight and assistance on the matter if you would.

Bitdivine
Hello Amortias. I read the notes carefully before committing my post. I am one of a number of programmers who make extensive use of the format in question. The very nature of open source programming is that we collaborate and share code so that wheels don't have to be reinvented over and over again. It is in that spirit that I have taken quite a bit of time recently to take closed code and make it publicly available. It is contribution to a common meal in the hope that others should do the same. I will not gain from it except insofar as it will encourage the currently somewhat diverse implementations to become interoperable by speaking a common language. Is there space on Misplaced Pages for such collaboration to take place? --Bitdivine (talk) 19:33, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi yes there is no problem including this but as there is an apparent promotional part (the user name and the link) it is best to make a request on the talk page of the article for another editor familiar with the subject to include it so that it doesnt appear promotional. That's OK. I'll let you fill in the details as you know the rules. I suspect that if I pour in everything I know I'll just end up committing countless faux pas and I hate moving back and re-doing things. Terrible waste of time. I'll finish up the code as that, with interoperability, will still take quite a bit of effort. Do you mind doing the honours on the Misplaced Pages page? Each to their own specialty! :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bitdivine (talk • contribs) 20:22, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Helllo Amortius, I appreciate your work in monitoring for inappropriate content on Misplaced Pages. I admit I don't know the rules to the letter. And I really appreciate Misplaced Pages as a resource. Is the fact that I am linking to my blog the reason? I am fine with removing the link. The other advantages and disadvantages listed in the article appear similar to the issue I raise. This was not advertising. Perhaps it could be construed as Soapboxing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrissmithhill (talk • contribs) 19:44, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, best practice when adding links to locations that are very similar (or identical) to your username are best added as requested edits on the talk page. They can then be reveiewed by an uninvolved editor who can judge the inclusion on its merits for inclusion and if deemed suitable can then be included without a potential conflict of interest

WP:ANEW
Thank you Amortias. I am not trying to engage in edit warring. I have tried to start a dislogue with Crim000. Crim000 has continually removed well-sourced information to promote his POV. Crim000 has not added to the article but has only tried to remove unflattering information about the living person. While unflattering, it is neutral and well-sourced. Any direction you could give would be appreciated. Thank youWikicorrected (talk) 18:03, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- The best thing you could do for now is head over to WP:ANEW find the report relating to yourself and explain whats going on there, it would be best to stop editing the article until the issue is resolved or you will just clock up more reverts after a warning has been given which makes it look like youve ignored the warning. I'm ging to look over the article and see what to do next. Amortias (T)(C) 18:06, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Removed entry
Hi Amortias
Thank you for reviewing the entry I added to Jesse Jane's page. You told me that you removed it because no reliable source was added. However I did add the possibly most reliable source namely the full interview. The reference is http://www.dr.dk/Bonanza/serie/Unge_og_satire/Den_11_time.htm?assetId=70801
— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhillerstrom (talk • contribs) 21:23, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Dhillerstrom, there were section of the inclusion such as the statement The three hosts were particularly interested in Jesse Jane elaborating on the sex swing story. that can not easily be sourced to a video. Unless theres a specific source that states this it may be considered original research hence its removal. If you can reinsert it making sure that the language doesnt appear to add opinion about what the hosts may have done or felt there shouldnt be an issue. Amortias (T)(C) 21:29, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying. Although that is exactly what the three hosts say, I guess it can be difficult for the non-danish speaking reader to verify. I will remove that bit.
- Thank you.

- Hi, mostly I deal with checking edits made to articles and reverting edits that appear to have been made in error and advising those who appear to have made an error what they need to do if asked as well as reverting those that have been made intentionally to disrupt or vandalise Misplaced Pages. I also try to make sure that preventative action is taken to reduce the amount of damage editors who do not wish to contribute consturctivley to Misplaced Pages can do so that it is kept to as high a standard as possible. Mayors of cities are generally considered notable, and there's sufficient documentation; still more could undoubtedly be found in contemporary newspapers. Please remember that speedy A7 is only for articles that make no credible claim to significance. It's a much weaker criterion than notable. DGG ( talk ) 02:22, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Your userpage
I notice you seem to have a few disgruntled vandals staking out your userpage (or, to be more precise, one vandal with several aliases...). If you want me to semi-protect it so that they can't edit it any more, just say the word. Yunshui 水 07:20, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Yunshui, thanks for the offer, this particular "set" of vandals seemed to switch their vandalism from the main article space to my userpage after I successfully located a set of their socks, in my opinion it makes it easier to identify them (and also reduce article space damage) if I let them concentrate here I (or any other person who stalks my page) can deal with it quietly without lots of people being affected. Amortias (T)(C) 08:59, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

- - Removal of content without explanation
- - Addition of information without providingreliable sources
- - addition of what appears to be either original research or unsourced content.
- If you can take a look at those and then maybe head over to the Tea House as they can provide a lot of help with editing. Amortias (T)(C) 10:21, 18 October 2014 (UTC)

- I have reverted the Brooklyn edit back to its previous example, the edits to Newington College should still be backed up with reference to a source, if you can find a link on the organisations website or another third party source to back this up. Confusion: help needed
Hello Amortias
So I have added your page to my evergrowing watchlist because I see it is a hotbed for multi-vandals. There is one point of interest, you have a vandalism counter which does not self-adjust and therefore needs to be handled manually. Now when you take into consideration edits such as this, it would to all intents and purposes be regarded as vandalism because the number has been increased by one for no reason. Now I would happily revert, except doing so would only provoke rollback since the information submitted by the vandal thus automatically becomes correct and so the cycle is never-ending. My personal advice would be to remove that feature since this is evidently recursive. Either way, how in future if you are not online and I catch someone vandalizing would you like me to go about dealing with that type of malarkey? --Stars of 85 (talk) 18:39, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Stars of 85, while I agree its not the best method of updating a vandalism count the template was created by another user and it works for my sense of humor (if someone goes and updates a vandalism counter they pretty much shoot themselves in the foot). Anyones free to revert anything on my page that appears improper as I go over and evaluate anything most days to be on the safe side anyway. Amortias (T)(C) 18:47, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- OK here's what we'll do. Any evidently unwanted material, I shall undo. If a comedian ups the counter by one, no matter how many times (so long as it is +1 each time), I won't get involved, I'll let you handle that one. OK? --Stars of 85 (talk) 18:49, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Request
Protection is about to expire on The Federalist (website), an article that Dirtlawyer1 has been recently edit warring controversial BLP info into against consensus. I would like to remind him of avoiding edit warring and the discretionary sanctions in place. The appropriate template warning is {{subst:alert|blp}} and I would like to place it on his talk page. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 23:05, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- Both alerted for the sake of being unbiased. Amortias (T)(C) 17:02, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- I promised Amortias that I would keep an eye here, and I saw how Dirtlawyer1 felt negatively about the template. Dirtlawyer's feelings are understandable, and I know there's something somewhere around here about the dangers of templating experienced editors, but I also think that Amortias was acting purely in good faith, and most certainly did not intend to insult Dirtlawyer. Dirtlawyer and Viriditas, you are both experienced enough to know not to edit war, so I'm confident that neither of you will. If either of you see a problem developing at the Federalist page, please focus on the content and not the editor, and please feel free to post here, and Amortias and I will try to help. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:41, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- The problem is that Dirtlawyer1 has consistently and repeatedly made personal attacks against me (as I previously pointed out here) while deflecting from his attacks by accusing others of his own shortcomings. After Amortias added the template in good faith, the expected response should have been "Thank you for keeping me informed and letting me know". I myself have left many of these types of templates over the years, and I have never once witnessed this kind of vitriol. Dirtlawye1 accused me of playing games, appealed to my block log in a blatant ad hominem, and then once again misinterpreted a comment about his comments by calling it "offensive", when in fact it was showing and highlighting the offensiveness of his own comments and his lack of self-reflection. Dirtlawyer1 does not seem capable of taking responsibility for his own actions, his own words, and his own behavior, so he finds it necessary to continue making these personal attacks in the hopes that nobody will notice the real problem. I have previously raised the problem with his personal attacks and his comments here. As you can see by his response, he has not addressed the problem but in fact, deleted my comments and made accusations against me instead. I should point out, that he's continued to comment on the contributor even after this problem was raised on his talk page. So there is clearly a WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT problem that needs to be addressed. Viriditas (talk) 01:50, 22 October 2014 (UTC)

'Fish, the reason why Viriditas has been "banned" from my talk page is his unfounded and very thinly veiled allegations that I am racist, racially insensitive or serving the purposes of someone's "White masters." Viriditas' quoted text, which is still posted on my talk page:
- "I suggested that your statement 'most Ph.D. professors will make significant good faith efforts to help minorities in American universities' was problematic, as it implied that minorities aren't intelligent and cut it in academia without special help from their White masters."
I have good reason to be offended by this implied and unsupported allegation of "racism" against me, intentionally phrased to avoid an NPA sanction. It's also transparently obvious. No one who comes to my talk page and implies that I am racist, racially insensitive, or serving the purposes of someone's "White masters" is welcome there. Period.
Viriditas was asked not to post on my page after posting his various theories about right-wing conspiracies and attributing the motives of these right-wing conspirators to me:
- "you erroneously argue by implication that climate change and evolution are political topics, which is simply false, they are scientific facts. So, your own comments give your agenda away. It is the Heartland and Discovery Institute who have spent lots of money trying to promote the false notion that climate change and evolution are politically motivated."
For the record, I have never used the phrases "climate change" or "evolution" on-wiki. It should go without saying that none of Viriditas' attacks are true, but I now find myself in the uncomfortable position where I must defend my on-wiki reputation from such falsehoods. After leaving that post, I politely asked Viriditas not to post on my talk page. Instead he returned with his new "racist" attack. After that, I went to ANI, where I simply asked that he be warned, rather than blocked or otherwise sanctioned. Instead of taking that hint, he asked Amortias to leave an unneeded "warning" on my talk page, thereby circumventing the talk page "ban." So, pardon me, gentlemen, for saying I do not need anyone to relay messages, templated or otherwise, from editors who conduct themselves in such a manner. There is no problem here that requires intervention; it is a one-sided problem that can be resolved by Viriditas staying off my talk page and not making further unfounded allegations that I am an evolution denier, a climate change denier, racist, racially insensitive, or serving someone's "White masters" on my talk page -- or anywhere else -- again.
In my earlier talk page response to Amortias, I linked to Viriditas' block log: he has a long history of tendentious and disruptive editing, as documented in the reasons in the block log for his 13 blocks in 7 seven years. My block log shows 0 blocks. That speaks volumes. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 01:54, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- Amortias and Tryptofish, please note the massive attacks once more above and the edit summary ("more falsehoods = more attacks, headed back to ANI if he doesn't stop") Pure personal attacks, evasions, and threats. This is not a user who is interested in playing nice with others nor in clearing up this dispute and moving on. This is a user who is only interested in engaging in battle, in attacking and threatening, and being as aggressive as a wikilawyer can be. This is not a user who is the least bit interested in listening to other editors or in trying to resolve a dispute. Read what the user has written up above. The only thing they are interested in is "I, me, my, and mine". This is a user who is hopelessly self-absorbed, so much so, that the concerns of other users about their interaction is ignored, problems with their interaction is evaded, and in place of listening and communicating to resolve a problem, we find threats and intimidation. While this kind of bad behavior might be acceptable in the courtroom or in litigation, on Misplaced Pages we require a different kind of interpersonal communication, one that can show the ability to listen, communicate, and resolve disputes, so that we can get back to collaborating and working towards the same goal. This user has no interest in abiding by such community norms. Viriditas (talk) 04:23, 22 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi. It seems that while patrolling the recent changes, I accidentally reverted this page to a blanked state. I haven't been autoconfirmed yet, and so the CAPTCHA prevented me from repairing the damage before you did. Just thought I ought to explain myself :). Keep up the good work! - Accidents happen, one of my first edits was to nominate an article for WP:SPEEDY as an attack page by accident. Amortias (T)(C) 22:06, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the comment and suggestions... I really respect and appreciate Misplaced Pages
Amortias,
Felt compelled today to become a contributor to Misplaced Pages primarily because the Way of the Jedi and Project Jedi are something extraordinary and real for human society, for you, me and anyone who wants to tap-in to latent human abilities.
The Way of the Jedi (Djedi) was part of ancient Egypt and used by the Knight's Templar and Sufis. Project Jedi was also a US military operation that I became part of in 2007 as part of the First Earth Battalion.
I didn't plan or intend on any of this, and I am working diligently daily to bring a very real Way of the Jedi to both the beneovlent, peace-keeping side of the military and to the peaceful revolutionary civilian populations of rebels and freedom fighters.
I am presently in charge of Project Jedi. I am a US Department of Defense contractor under the code-name Captain David Lakota. My birth name is David Keith Swendiman, former US Marine with the President's Police Force (2/6 Camp Lejeune). I deserted my unit when they illegally invaded Lybia.
I joined the Alaska Airborne Rangers in 1994 commanded by Michael "Snowleopard" Bookbinder. He was a black ops instructor featured in the movie Le Femme Nikita. Commander Bookbinder, an Apache Medicine Chief, also hand-selected Bo Gritz portrayed as Rambo in the movie First Blood.
My commander Jim Channon, Lt. Colonel (US Army retired) was portrayed by Jeff Bridges in the movie "Men Who Stare at Goats" by George Clooney
At the end of the movie, Ewan McGregor, arguably one of the most adept and beloved ficitional Jedi, playing a rooki reporter and skeptic of the esoteric, proclaims, "Now more than ever we need the Jedi!"
Most or all of this is my own experience. Most of it can be corroborated by US official military documents, YouTube videos and other Misplaced Pages articles.
I just haven't figured out how to do that. Are you willing or able to help me.
My expertise is in the field. I have tried several times to follow the directions offered by Misplaced Pages, but I just haven't figured it out. Don't even know some of the language. Bug I can show you how to see enemy troop movments at a distance. I can show you how to heal at a distance.
I can show you how to access your intuition with 100% degree of certainty.
I am commanding a US Constitution-based militia called Task Force Delta, which was a former US Marine operation decades ago that was also part of the origins of the New Earth Army, which I resigned from last year.
Please help me for the sake of freedom and more reliable access to the very best of information in on the web, the inner planes and through the use of the Way of the Jedi. The foundation of the way of the Jedi, both in Star Wars and in real life is "When you quiet your mind, you will hear the life force speak to you."
Being able to have direct access to intuition, the Akashic Records, your own super and unconscious self, is much more reliable than any cited reference. Yet references help us to feel better, and it seems like proof- even though it is just someone else's version of reality.
Most of what I am sharing for Project Jedi and Task Force Delta is here and now reality. The only way you will know for SURE is through your own experience regardless of how legitimate my references and citations may be.
What Misplaced Pages is doing and providind is an extremely valuable service to Humanity and freedom and expression.
I am willing to do whatever I can to help provide the most substantial and legitimate intelligence, Open Source Intelligence (commanded by former CIA covert ops and Marine Corps Infantry Officer Robert David Steele.
Can you, will you, show me how to do a simple citation?
Respectfully and humbly,
Major David Michael Lakota aka David Keith Swendiman Task Force Delta commander Project Jedi director
Jedi student and teacher
PS. I want to be able to share as much as possible and legitimzie as much as possible without being self promoting or promoting any products or services.
I DO want people to know the world over that the Way of the Jedi and Shaman is for real. And Project Jedi was real.
I am using Task Force Delta as a means to deliver this to the US Military and to Humanity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ProjectJedi (talk • contribs) 00:16, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
