A barnstar for you!
The Barnstar of Diligence | |
Thank you for your service to excellence for your work with one of my very favorite bands Radiohead. Keep up the stellar work! Aces! Kingslove2013 (talk) 11:39, 14 August 2014 (UTC) |
Thanks
Thanks for reverting my edit. I know this sounds like sarcasm, but that made me finally realize that plots in articles don't need to describe stuff in too much detail. That helps me a lot because I always wondered about this. By the way, the boss part was just sarcasm, in case you didn't know (you probaly do). URDNEXT (talk) 16:43, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- Glad you agree! I think a lot of inexperienced editors feel an urge to explain things in huge detail, especially if it's something they're passionate about (I've made this mistake in the past too). Copy editing is a fine art, and tough to master - I do it for a living, so I've had a lot of practice. Sometimes I go too far and other editors have to rein me in.
- You might find Misplaced Pages:How_to_write_a_plot_summary and especially Misplaced Pages:WikiProject_Film/Style_guidelines/Copy-editing_essentials#Don.27t_lose_the_plot useful. Popcornduff (talk) 17:30, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks again man! By the way, are you available for doing the plot of an article any time in the future? I started editing 1001 Spikes, but noticed it doesn't have a plot in the article. I don't think I can take on watching Let's Plays and write about it, so I was wondering if you could help me write the plot of the game in the article? The game is pretty short, and should be an easy job. Thanks for everything in advance, URDNEXT (talk) 17:45, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't think I can bring myself to research a game just to write a plot summary for it. I'm far too lazy for that. :) Popcornduff (talk) 17:47, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
The Original Barnstar | |
Hi Pop! Thanks for the Weezer pages you've done! As for a minor suggestion, the working cover art for Songs from the Black Hole is up on Weezerpedia. I've included the link. It's your call if you want to include it, but from my understanding it wasn't fan art but rather the real cover as they were tracking. Great page (Songs from the black hole) btw!

Help
Hey, can you do a little copy editing on Batman: Under the Red Hood's plot section? I think it needs a revamp. URDNEXT (talk) 12:19, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry dude, but I'm uncomfortable editing plot summaries for games/movies/etc I haven't experienced. Popcornduff (talk) 12:24, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ok then. URDNEXT (talk) 12:39, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
Copy editing
How's it going? Is there anyway you can copy edit Sleeping Dogs? I'm not that good at proses yet, and Tezero and Czar (the other nominators) don't have time to fix the issues raised by the reviewers at the FAC. Their concerns are all related to the prose, so it would be extremely appreciated if you could help me with it, even in some sections like gameplay and downloadable content Thank you.
