The incident involved Branson stammering and then uttering nonsense syllables for approximately 10 seconds without recovery during a live cross for 'backstage coverage'. It appeared during the video that Branson became aware that she was speaking gibberish; she looked away from the camera and her smile faded. Following her comments, the station cut to the pre-recorded footage of the Awards that Branson was attempting to introduce.
