:There are no strings to be pulled, whether by Go Phightins!, another administrator, or anyone else, since it's a community consensus that decided upon the fair-use guidelines. For better or worse, in order to preserve Misplaced Pages's reusability, the fair-use guidelines are restrictive in what they allow. NOTE TO FELLOW ADMINISTRATORS: If you deem that an administrative action I took was objectionable, a misreading of consensus, against Misplaced Pages guidelines/policy, or simply stupid, you are free to revert it without prior consultation. However, please explain what you did and why on my talk page thereafter. Thanks! Go Phightins! 13:15, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

- A while back you mentioned combining the EotW award with the T-Shirt Giveaway program and I suggested we wait till our 2 yr Anniversary. I have a full plate. I am much to busy to take that on as an added responsibility. Do you have anyone in mind that might be interested? Maybe a call-out to WER members? ```Buster Seven Talk 14:04, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- I did. Hmm. Perhaps one of the WMF staffers would be able to facilitate at least the beginnings of this. As for a longer-term coordinator, would Mark Miller, John from Idegon, or perhaps John Carter be interested? Go Phightins! 14:38, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I have been very centered on content recently while at Misplaced Pages and have been trying to get real life in order as well for the new year and getting a head start on Spring cleaning. Time is just not on my side for extra stuff these day but thanks for thinking of me!--Mark Miller (talk) 19:58, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ben. Check out my message to User talk:Lixxx235 today. If he says he's willing to help maybe we could groom him for the T-Shirt C0-ordinator's position. ```Buster Seven Talk 22:11, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
- Not today but soon I will
contact the Merchandise Giveaway Programand plug Li235 Done into filling out the form for each weeks "Eddy". We might as well start with Dr Greg, the first in 2015. As time goes on and Li235 has done a few maybe we can work backward and get last years awardees some shirts. Talk soon. Buster Seven Talk 02:03, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Sir, I'd like to get your opinion on this revised infobox template: . Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:17, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- Reminder ping. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 02:05, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hey Dirtlawyer. I am embarrassed to say that I never noticed this section. It must've come right around The Signpost or something, and I completely missed it. I have been sort of following what you've been doing over the last few weeks, and it seems that your template is a definite improvement. I haven't looked closely yet, but tentatively, I think it looks good and should be functional. Go Phightins! 03:40, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- This is the first stage: deciding what data points to include. Stage two: upgrading graphics that are distinctly different than the infoboxes for NFL and CFL players. I will recruit a template editor/wikicoder to handle the graphics. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 04:06, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Jimmy Rollins
The article Jimmy Rollins you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Jimmy Rollins for things which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Wizardman -- Wizardman (talk) 16:00, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hey... I think i got most of the things wizardman noted, the stuff about his parents and being the "best defensive shortstop" I havent had time to try to look up since you know him better maybe you could take those things.. also i suck at writing leads and its been more your article so maybe you could take a wack at that too? If you don't have time, I'll probably take another look at it later this afternoon. Spanneraol (talk) 17:35, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- Just got back from a weekend away ... will try to look this afternoon if time allows. Go Phightins! 18:05, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello
I applaud your Pennsylvania sports articles and edits. Great stuff. Much appreciated. Especially your tireless research in the Jerry Sandusky case. It's unfortunate that your name-change proposal ended in a stalemate —neither side having gained a consensus. The closing comment by the other administrator was interesting: I would like to develop a naming convention for scandal articles. I'm confident that a pattern already exists... particularly for abuse scandals. It requires research though. Any thoughts on going about this? Particularly in crowd-sourcing the research aspect. —Fluous (talk) 20:52, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind comments, Fluous. As tedious as they can be, I think an RFC is likely necessary on whether it's best to stick to the person who initiated the scandal, the institutions that were proven complicit, the institutions on which the scandal had an effect, or simply what a majority of the RS material says, the latter being what we have ... yet preposterously the RM ended the way it did. Oh well. If you want to draft an RFC in userspace somewhere, I would be happy to help when time allows. Thanks for inquiring. God bless, Go Phightins! 00:55, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

I have initiated a move on Talk:1973 college football season and Talk:1977 college football season, that you may be interested in. Any opinions you may have on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks-UCO2009bluejay (talk) 05:38, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Jimmy Rollins
The article Jimmy Rollins you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Jimmy Rollins for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Wizardman -- Wizardman (talk) 01:41, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- Congratulations to you and Spanneraol for your work on the article! I think it is only 5 or 6 weeks until pitchers and catchers report to spring training: gives me warmth on this cold day! Again, congratulations! Bob305 (talk) 15:47, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
This Sundays Award
Can we jump over this weeks "Top of the Queue" editor for just a weeks delay. Ive asked EC aka MF to write a personalized Bio and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. And I'm having a "commented out" problem with the Image for the "Eddybox" at Template:WikiProject Editor Retention/Editor of the Week/Project main page/sandbox. I wish I knew an administrator that could pull a few strings and get the image approved on a "Special Case" basis. TRA! Buster Seven Talk 14:59, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- Image Problem solved. Eric has suggested a different one. But...still hold temporarily until he sends me a BIO. Thanks! Buster Seven Talk 15:09, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- There are no strings to be pulled, whether by Go Phightins!, another administrator, or anyone else, since it's a community consensus that decided upon the fair-use guidelines. Glad to hear that a new image has been put forth. isaacl (talk) 16:28, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
