:Heads up guys! FT2 is trying to gain power so he can promote Neurolinguistic programming and Bestiality (zoophilia article). He promotes bestiality by insisting that it is love for animals and boosting unchecked pro-pedophilia style argument (animals/kids can have loving sexual relations). He disallows ethical arguments and legal arguments, and tries to un-associate bestiality from zoophilia (look at the lit, they are the same in most books). He promotes NLP by OR, selective editing, adding POV, and by accusing every neutral editor of being a sock. (I'm a responsible sock btw). Please find clerks who are interested in neutral editing (not editorializing)! All the best.

Applicants to become clerks, please list yourselves here. A *brief* summary (no more than 2 or 3 sentences) of your arbcom-related experiences might be helpful too - cases you participated in, or cleaned up evidence pages for. Raul654 16:06, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Clerks (accepted applications)

  • While I can honestly say I don't have anywhere close to the same experience as Phil when it comes to involvement in arbcom cases, I can also honestly state that I've tried my best to follow the operations of the arbcom. I think I have a decent (probably above average) grip on how it works, although I've only been a party to one arbcom case ever (the initial Everyking case). I've been helping out with the evidence and workshop pages on the latest cases on RFAR, and will continue to do so, regardless of whether I become a clerk. Johnleemk | Talk 16:14, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
  • I have been involved in around a dozen arbitration cases, and am well familiar with the process and ith what the arbitrators find useful and not in a case. I've also been doing basically the functions of the clerks for the past week and a half already, having provided evidence summaries on three cases and a proposed decision on one. Which is to say that I can work fast and hard too. Phil Sandifer 16:09, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
  • I've directly been involved only in a single arbitration case (a long while ago), although I do monitor the cases. I submitted my name for the advisory elections, with the primary complaint being my inexperiance, I think the clerk's office is "safe" enough to allow me to help there. The rest of my dispute resolution experiance is fairly low profile, feel free to ask.--Tznkai 17:47, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Clerk Candidates

  • I have no experience but I function best by learning on the job.I also see this as a chance to give back to Misplaced Pages and learn more about it. Geo.plrd 23:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Shell 02:23, 10 June 2006 (UTC) I've been party to two cases Shiloh and Monicasdude, so I've learned my way around. I also worked as an admin assistant for years so I know a bit about taking a supportive role.
  • I've presented evidence in a couple of cases so far, Internodeuser and DarrenRay/2006BC. I've got a decent amount of experience in wading through diffs and other material as someone casually involved in dispute resolution. I also like to think that I've got a good mind for detail, which ought to be helpful. --bainer (talk) 02:23, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I should preface this by saying that I have zero ArbCom experience, although I've participated in a few RfCs. I'm mostly applying as Dmcdevit made it understood to me that help is needed here, and I'm glad to assist where I can. My abbreviated recent conflict resumé: I helped to set up Misplaced Pages:Abuse reports with Essjay, and have participated in some cases there. Additionally, I've been in several conflicts on WP:AN and WP:AN/I, and my most recent performance in this arena may be seen here. Like I said, my main hope here is just to help out, and if you ArbCom chaps feel that I can do that better not as a clerk then I will be just as happy as if you felt like I would be of greater service in that capacity. • FT2 20:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC) I've taken three cases to Arbcom starting with Ciz 2005 as well as a further one by email to user:Mackensen ("very persuasive"). I spend a lot of time cleaning up and refactoring "messy" or controversial stuff, it's one of my hobbies here, refactoring messy articles into neatly structured form, rewriting useful intro summaries where needed, and so on. Refactoring work in the project namespace has included the stable formats of WP:ABOUT, WP:NPOV, WP:RFC intro and several others (diffs on user page). I'm still learning a lot of things, but this seems a corner which needs doing and would be muchly enjoyable. I'd be helping out elsewhere too, though.

Community commentary

This section is for community commentary regarding the applications

The application of Dschor has been removed. Why? --71.36.251.182 01:19, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Becuase he's indefinitely blocked for abusive sockpuppetry. See Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Pedophilia userbox wheel war#Dschor for the beginning, and then his block log for the conclusion. Snoutwood (talk) 01:40, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
