Disambiguation link notification for January 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pavel Sorokin (conductor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Legend of Love (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Hi! Thanks for your work on WikiProject Beetles. You got this barnstar because of your significant contributions to WikiProject Beetles - fixing up articles and creating hundreds of articles on beetles. Gug01 (talk) 23:36, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
@Gug01: Thanks, but my first barnstar circa 2011 was for that reason.--Mishae (talk) 23:38, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Minor barnstar
Thanks for your minor edits on the talk pages of beetle-related articles; namely tagging them with the project banner. This may sound like nothing, but this helps others assess the overall need of improvement in WikiProject Beetles. Have a nice day! Gug01 (talk) 23:38, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Photinus pyralis

Hi! I have two questions about the article Photinus pyralis. The article in question is rated as B-class. Does it deserve the B-class rating? If so, do you think it is ready to be nominated for good article status? Gug01 (talk) 13:53, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

@Gug01: Hi! To answer your first question (first I would like to apologize for long delay, due to glitch and watching of soccer in the morning) I have asked some editors about the same thing a year ago. The answer was that if you think it deserves a C let it be a C. In your case its B but I guess it doesn't matter. As far as your second question goes, I never wrote a single article that would be qualified as GA but I think folks that are at GA portal would know better. I also need to mention that I found 3 dead links in the above article and gave it a whirl. I only was able to archive 1 because the others were excluded from the archive, but I did filled in the rest so that the article would look more updated. Hope that helps. :)--Mishae (talk) 22:10, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your advice. Gug01 (talk) 00:17, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for the worm welcome. This wasn't my first created article, but if you mean in english language, yes it is. I have created several wiki articles in Macedonian language and I'm Wikipedian about a year. Hope we cooperate in future. Greetings from Macedonia :)Dandarmkd (talk) 00:18, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

@Dandarmkd: That's good. I greeted you just like everyone else. Majority of Wikipedians that come here are new so I am using only one greeting template. But have fun!
PS: Do join WikiProject Macedonia if you want, your contributions there will be appreciated. :)--Mishae (talk) 00:23, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

My draft

Hi! I am currently developing a draft for Tachyporus. The draft is here. I would like for it to be at least start-class when I move it to article space. Could you help me with the draft? Gug01 (talk) 22:06, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

David Luiz

No. I wanted you to stop removing sourced content which is against Misplaced Pages policy. SLBedit (talk) 16:56, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

For reference. You remove a reference that supports the content, then someone will delete the content that was referenced. SLBedit (talk) 17:03, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Aims

After discussion at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Yorkshire in April 2008.

Specific aims for the project are:-

  • To complete tagging and assessment of all Yorkshire related articles (See below)
  • To recruit more active editors (See Member News)
  • To bring our top level article Yorkshire up to Featured article status
  • To bring all other top priority articles (currently 15 with 2 at FA) to at least Good article status
  • To set up a weekly or monthly selected article improvement drive (See this month's feature below)
  • To produce a regular news letter for circulation to members

and apropos of the above a 2010 New Year article improvement drive/collaboration is being organised.

Priority Articles

The top priority articles that have been identified to date are as follows -

The number has been kept deliberately low to give us a fighting chance of improving them to at least GA status, also so we can concentrate our efforts on these first.

WikiProject Yorkshire Collaboration of the Month Project

The February 2015 articles selected below are an editor choice as there were no further suggestions from the project talk page.

Month Dates Article(s)
B class choice Start class choice
58 1 Oct 2014 ~ 31 Oct 2014 Harold Wilson Queensbury, West Yorkshire
59 1 Nov 2014 ~ 30 Nov 2014 Spring Hall River Dove, North Yorkshire
60 1 Dec 2014 ~ 31 Dec 2014 St Mary Magdalene, Yarm Sand Hutton Miniature Railway
61 1 Jan 2015 ~ 31 Jan 2015 William Nicholson, 1st Baron Nicholson The Circle, Kingston upon Hull
62 1 Feb 2015 ~ 28 Feb 2015 Chris Moyles Ulley Reservoir

Please nominate future articles for improvement at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Yorkshire.

Please bear in mind...

The project is subscribed to a clean-up listing which lists articles tagged with various clean-up tags that need attention. The listing is refreshed by a bot on a regular basis.

  • Monitoring is essential
Use the watchlist to keep an eye on changes to the project's articles so that vandalism and spamming can be removed as quickly as possible.
  • Moves
Please be careful when performing articles moves and ensure that you also move all the talk sub-pages and update any image fair use rational. Otherwise the archives, to-do lists, assessment comments and GA reviews get lost and the image may be deleted as it has an incorrect FUR. You will also have to check that the Commons link is set correctly.

Comments, questions and suggestions about this, or any, issue of the newsletter are always welcome and can be made by pressing the feedback button below...

February 2015

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to David Luiz, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". This edit was not a minor edit. SLBedit (talk) 21:19, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Adding new content is not a minor edit. Exactly because you are not a newbie you should know what a minor edit is. "experienced users don't need to be." It doesn't matter if a user is experienced. That is like saying that an experienced user can't receive a warning for vandalism if user vandalizes. SLBedit (talk) 21:30, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
"When not to mark an edit as a minor edit": "Adding or removing content in an article" "Adding or removing references or external links in an article" SLBedit (talk) 21:32, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
Where is that rule? SLBedit (talk) 21:34, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
I didn't warn you for that. SLBedit (talk) 21:49, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
I don't want to answer your question because I don't have to and because I don't want to. I warned your for a different thing, and you know it. You added completely new content and marked it as a minor edit. That is against the rules. If you still think you are right, then you don't know what a minor edit is. If you continue disturbing me by using the talk page I will report you for harassment. SLBedit (talk) 22:03, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
The template was added because Twinkle is handy and fast. It was not intention to label you as a newbie. SLBedit (talk) 19:26, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Hemicrepidius

Hi Mishae! Can you please categorize all the species of Hemicrepidius as part of the Category:Hemicrepidius? Gug01 (talk) 23:30, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

@Gug01: Will do, but first I will put the correct template in the talkpage, if its O.K. with you?--Mishae (talk) 23:34, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
@Mishae: Of course it's OK with me! Thanks so much. Gug01 (talk) 23:39, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
By the way, its better to remove WikiProject Insects and insert WikiProject beetles instead, since WikiProject Beetles is subsidiary project of WikiProject Insects. I will live WikiProject Insects for bugs, ants, and bees though.--Mishae (talk) 23:41, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
