DYK for Kansas House Bill 2453
On 28 February 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Kansas House Bill 2453, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Kansas House Bill 2453 would allow service providers in Kansas to refuse service to same-sex couples under the purview of religious liberty? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kansas House Bill 2453. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it may be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Some advice
HI. You are pretty new on Misplaced Pages. I recognize that you have made boatloads of edits since you started here last fall. Nonetheless, the mistakes you have made at the Amen article are newbie mistakes.... I am still learning stuff all the time and have been active here for several years. Anyway, it is bad form to go to drama boards before you engage in discussions on the Talk page. Also, it doesn't appear that you have edited in articles related to health/medical stuff much. There is LOTS of crap out there and there are editors who want to come here and push it (real tinfoil hat stuff). Please think about that.. this is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit. As a result, over the years Misplaced Pages has developed some very clear policies and guidelines about how we handle health-related information. Some of the people who have interacted with you about Amen are the best editors in this whole place at keeping flaky health related content out of Misplaced Pages and at building up reliable health information. The relevant policies and guidelines are Misplaced Pages:Neutral_point_of_view#Fringe_theories_and_pseudoscience (policy), WP:FRINGE (guideline) and WP:MEDRS (guideline). I recommend you slow down a bit and understand how things work in Misplaced Pages before you start making accusations that other editors are working here in bad faith. This is unfortunately a common mistake that new editors make but there is no reason you have to continue down that road, which is going to lead to misery for you, and will probably lead you to burn out and leave. Please WP:AGF and slow down and learn how things work here before generating drama. Thanks, and good luck! Jytdog (talk) 11:39, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
- about this comment: article Talk pages are not the pages to "bristle." (this is another newbie mistake). Also, if you choose to use a drama board, it is your responsibility to take time to learn and comply with the rules for using them. If you are too busy to read the instructions (which are posted in the blue box at the top of the page) please consider not using these boards. Finally, if you make a mistake and someone corrects it (as I did, by notifying the other editors that the BLPN had been posted, and yes chiding you for your mistake - it is a big deal to accuse other editors of violating policy - which is what you did!), just take it, learn (!) and move on. And hey maybe even apologize for your mistake! Please don't generate yet more drama that doesn't help improve the article. There is lots to learn but acknowledging that and being humble and learning instead of generating drama, will lead you down a road to a happier time here. Best regards. Really - good luck here. Re your note
I disagree with your interpretation of the situation. WP:OUTING and its enforcement via oversight applies to details about editors. Meanwhile, The Spokesman-Review appears to be a leading regional newspaper, whose editors would not be likely to get this kind of thing wrong, so unless you have reason to dispute the factual claims from that article, there's no real issue here. Whether a "famous alumni" section is appropriate for the school article is debatable, but as long as it's there, this individual ought to be listed there. Nyttend (talk) 14:10, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am bothered by this editor's deletion of my comment on his talk page and his insistence that the information was "outing" someone. Ncjon (talk) 16:55, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Issue has been raised at Misplaced Pages:BLPN#Belle Knox, Nyttend, I would appreciate you making your views known there or at the article itself. Sportfan5000 (talk) 02:23, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
Using the days of the week, in addition to the dates
Dear sport, you ain't no genius so why do you delete factual information concerning the days of the week when a particular date falls on? The FACTUAL information may mean nothing to you, but to those who use Misplaced Pages as an on-line encyclopedia (for a source of information) may want to know this FACTUAL information. Misplaced Pages is for everyone to add factual information to (to help enhance, update, and to complete the articles) and it is not supposed to be the "pet project" of un-accountable un-selected editors to delete factual information at their own whim (for illegitimate reasons). The only information that you should delete is FALSE information. Please leave the factual information alone! Your actions in this particular case is only hurting Misplaced Pages. You should not be delating FACTUAL information just because you WRONGLY think that the information is of no value to you personally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.4.75.166 (talk) 18:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- I believe consensus has long been, on Misplaced Pages, and mass media when reporting dates in the past, that the day of the week is not important to the understanding of the subject. If you wish to get feedback on the idea though, you might try Misplaced Pages talk:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers. Sportfan5000 (talk) 02:23, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Belle Knox
I see you've now escalated to personal attacks. Drop the stick and move on. Lagrange613 16:59, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- If you feel the label of bully applies to you then that is your issue. My comment was a general one so inferring a personal attack is a reach. I firmly believe we've failed in the Belle Knox chapter, but I'm also quite sure the article will be back soon enough. Your efforts to direct my interest in that subject are noted, and coming here is demonstrating how you're the one beating a dead horse. Sportfan5000 (talk) 17:21, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi there. No boilerplate for you - you know the drill by now. Blocked as a Confirmed sock of banned editor, Benjiboi (talk · contribs), per checkuser. I notice some things haven't changed either :/ - Alison 00:08, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
- *Smacks forehead* You gotta be kidden me!?!--Mark Miller (talk) 05:39, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Can't say I'm surprised, Alison and Mark Miller, especially after the User:Insomesia account. I was pinged to this talk page before by an IP who was convinced that Sportfan5000 is a WP:Sockpuppet of Benjiboi or of someone else and wanted me to use my WP:Sockpuppetry detective skills to confirm the matter one way or the other; since that talk page commentary is not in this talk page's edit history, it must have been on the now deleted User talk:Sportfan5000/BLPlist. And then there was this matter at NeilN's talk page, where Lady Lotus felt that Sportfan5000 might be a WP:Sockpuppet of User:Pass a Method and I stated, "Sportfan5000's editing style is completely different than Pass a Method's editing style...generally anyway. Sure, if you look at Sportfan5000's earliest Misplaced Pages contribution, it's clear that Sportfan5000 was not completely new editing Misplaced Pages, but that's likely unrelated." StAnselm agreed with me that they are not one and the same, and XXSNUGGUMSXX was the first to assure Lady Lotus that we did not think she was accusing StAnselm of being a WP:Sockpuppet. These days, however, Pass a Method is surely out there WP:Sockpuppeting. Anyway, sigh. Benjiboi will be back; Benjiboi always comes back. And so does Pass a Method. MSM blood donor controversy Intro
The intro is kind of misleading. The only country I can think of that banned gay males from donating blood is China (but they also banned gay females from donating blood as well). This is no longer the policy in China however. Furthermore, blood donation bans apply more to men who have sex with men than it does to gay people. (to give input, please see talk)--Prcc27 (talk) 07:41, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
