List of episodes |
The third series of the British children's television series The Dumping Ground is currently broadcasting until late 2015 on CBBC and CBBC HD. The series follows the lives of the children in care the fictional children's care home of Ashdene Ridge. It is set to consist of twenty thirty-minute episodes, airing in two halves in January and September 2015, and is the eleventh series in the Tracy Beaker franchise. It was confirmed that head writer, Elly Brewer, who has been the head writer for Tracy Beaker Returns and the previous The Dumping Ground series, will not be a part of the writing team for this series.

All of the series 2 cast returned, with the exceptions of Daniel Pearson, Chris Slater and Leanne Dunstan, who play Rick Barber, Frank Matthews and Faith Davis. Their characters were not mentioned in series 3.
Casting calls confirmed that this series will feature at least five new characters, including; twins Toni and Billie, played by Nelly and Gwen Currant; dog Mischief, which CBBC ran a competition for viewers to name it and is played by Sage; a disabled character called Finn, as well as Sasha and Ryan, played by Ruben Reuter, Annabelle Davis and Lewis Hamilton respectively.
It has been confirmed that there will be several guest stars in this series. Former EastEnders actress, Charlie Brooks will play Stephanie Branston who appears in episode one with her footballer husband, Matt (played by Stuart Manning). Stephanie and Matt want to foster a child, so attend Ashdene Ridge’s fostering day. While there they meet Maude Gordon, who is played by Brooks’ daughter Kiki. Maude is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon (played by Grant Burgin and Tanya French) attending the fostering day. The Gordons go onto potentially fostering Harry Jones, but their plans then change after discovering Maude has stolen money. Former Casualty actress, Martina Laird starred as Mrs Underwood, a potential foster mother for Tyler Lewis in episode 1. Diveen Henry starred as Tyler's mother, Sally, whom he reunites with. Former Waterloo Road star, Neil Morrissey will appear as Johnny and Tee Taylor’s abusive step-father, Keith.
