Spoorthi (Template:Lang-kan; Template:Lang-ta) is a singer and a child star from South India who has won the Title of Airtel Super Singer Junior 4, a singing talent hunt for the children of age group 6-14, hosted by Vijay TV, a popular Tamil channel of the Star Network and sponsored by Bharti Airtel.
Personal life
Spoorthi was born in Bengaluru, formerly known as 'Bangalore', Karnataka, India. Her mother, who is also a music teacher, was her first guru. Spoorthi has a brother who is two years younger to her. According to her mother, Spoorthi developed an interest towards music at an early age, and learned to sing along while listening to her mother practice. She started her music training under the tutelage of light music teacher Narahari Dixith, Tabla guru Pt. Rajgopal Kallurkar, Carnatic classical music guru Yashasvi Subbarao and film playback singer Parthu Nemani.

Airtel Super Singer Junior 4
Spoorthi became well known after entering and winning the Airtel Super Singer Junior 4 title during 2014-15 season, the 'grand finale' of which was held on 20 February 2015 at the grounds of Thangavelu Engineering College, Chennai. The 'grand finale' was presided over by Indian film star Dhanush along with other film industry personalities, Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh Ravichander, K. V. Anand and Shankar Mahadevan among others. Jessica Judes won her placement as runner up ahead of the third placed finalist Haripriya, and fourth placed finalists Anushya, Srisha, and Bharath. Spoorthi's performance in the grand finale consisted of a classical composition, "Ellam Inbamayam" in Ragamalika, a hit song from the 1951 film Manamagal, originally sung by M. L. Vasanthakumari & P. Leela and the song "Thai Manne Vanakkam" from Vande Mataram, a studio album by Indian musician A. R. Rahman. For winning the title of the competition, Spoorthi was awarded a Townhouse worth 70 lakhs Indian Rupees, by the program sponsor Arun Excello at Temple Green Township, Orgadam, near Chennai.
Spoorthi, during the course of the competition, which ran for almost a year, received favourable reviews and comments from the programme judges and personalities from Indian music and film industry appearing in the show as guest judges. Her rendition of the song 'Vizhigal Meeno' was hailed as a masterly performance by the original singer of the song, Indian playback singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) who appeared in the show as a special judge.
Super Singer World Tour - 2015
Spoorthi will be part of the concert titled ‘SUPER SINGER WORLD TOUR - 2015” at The SSE Arena, Wembley, London, England, on Friday, April 3, 2015, which will feature stalwarts from the Tamil Music industry including S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Srinivas and Unni Krishnan. Along with Spoorthi, the title winner of Airtel Super Singer Junior 4, other finalists of the program, namely, Jessica, Hari Priya, Bharath, Srisha and Anushya will be featuring in the concert. They will also be backed by Diwakar, Pooja and Pravin Saivi from the previous seasons of Airtel Super Singer.
Other achievements
At an infant age Spoorthi had won the Junior Title of Spandana Super Singer 2010 that was held in California, USA.
