This is my talk page, aka my home. I will try to keep it clutter free, and you should keep it free of verbal abuse. Thank you very much. If we have an ongoing conversation it will be here. If you want to see my recent conversations use the history. Thank you and have a good day.

Disambiguation link notification for April 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zara Cisco Brough, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grafton (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nominating articles for deletion

Hello, I encourage you to nominate obviously inappropriate articles for Speedy Deletion instead of through the regular AFD process. Please see Misplaced Pages:Criteria for speedy deletion for things which qualify for Speedy Deletion. Examples include a simple rephrasing of the title, attack pages, blatant spam, etc. Nominating such articles for "regular" deletion instead of "speedy deletion" will create a backlog at AFD. Thanks for your help, and let me know if you have any questions.– Gilliam (talk) 03:54, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Tagging

Well if I could tag your page for overtagging I would! You claim Rawhide Buttes relies on only one source when it certainly does not. Please don't be so bitey at new pages, even if I'm not a newbie. I encourage you to WP:DOITYOURSELF when you see a problem instead of drive-by tagging. After all, this is the encyclopedia that WP:ANYONECANEDIT.– Gilliam (talk) 04:25, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

@Gilliam I think Rawhide Buttes is the only page I have tagged so far with more than two tags. The reason is that I could not find any mention of the word "Rawhide Buttes" in the archived newspaper link given and that only leaves the survey link. Can you please take a look and make sure?FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 04:33, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your quick response. In the fourth column, it is written "Incidents are recalled in Wyoming's Rawhide Buttes, where a white man was supposedly skinned alive..." It's been the long-standing consensus that named geographical features usually notable per WP:GEOLAND.– Gilliam (talk) 04:40, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Thanks man, I'll remove the tag and tidy up the article. cheers FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 04:42, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
No problem. Thanks for understanding!– Gilliam (talk) 05:14, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

No resolution for dispute

Keithbob has informed us that there is no final resolution pertaining to the criticisms. Here is the same message from the Dispute resolution noticeboard.

FreeatlastChitchat, it seems that both your source "" as well as my sources are considered unreliable according to Misplaced Pages standards outlined by Keithbob. If this is the case and since there is no final resolution, we should then start deleting all of the references to "" which amounts to maybe 70%-80% of the articles content. Since this may take a lot of time and is seemingly quite a cumbersome task, perhaps we may leave the article as it is and I can introduce my 4 criticisms and you may wish to add your own perspective on the matter after that. After stating the quote of the alleged prophecy by Saritoprak and Adamson(as agreed in issue#1) we may place a heading called "perspective of critics on the alleged prophecy" and under that you may wish to place your own perspective under a different heading. This may be a valid compromise to the issue in which both of our perspectives are addressed. That way we have both perspectives, even if they may be considered from "unreliable" or non-academic sources. Xtremedood (talk) 05:33, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

The Governorship of Scott Walker Speedy Deletion

Hello, I recently saw that you tagged the article, Governorship of Scott Walker, with A1 and A7 criteria for speedy deletion within two minutes of its creation. In general it is best to wait at least a few minutes before tagging an article unless it is blatantly vandalism or copyright infringement. Even though the article was only two minutes into existence it still passed both A1 and A7. The very short stub of an article still cites two reliable sources about the subject which provide context sufficient to determine what the article is about. Secondly, A7 isn't relevant because the article wasn't about a "Real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organized event" which are the strict categories an article must fall into for A7. (I would even argue that a governorship is an assertion of notability if it were even relevant.) In the future please consider articles more carefully before nominating them for speedy deletion. Thank you and happy patrolling! Winner 42 Talk to me! 03:24, 27 April 2015 (UTC) Thanks Winner 42. And yeah it was my bad, I was thinking of tagging it, but sometimes people don't like drive by taggings, so i just put a CSD so someone else can decide about its notability. FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 03:28, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

No problem, we all have to learn somewhere. I recommend either PRODing it or just sticking a notability tag at the top. I honestly disagree with hte people who complain about drive by tagging. Tagging articles with problems is the first step to getting those problems solved, but that is a matter of personal preference. Happy editing! Winner 42 Talk to me! 03:33, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Formal mediation has been requested

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Editing at Mirza Ghulam Ahmad". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 4 May 2015.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.
