This page about "The Queen of the Beautifuls" has been deleted and recreated several times. I read the ] some of the reasons why he has been deleted is because Jeffree Star has been somewhat controversial because he is a ], strange behavior and outrageous appearance, enjoys plastic surgery and makeup, and his songs have obscene lyrics. Star also has a TV show in the works and will soon be a signed musicican. He also has a growing fanbase from ], where he gained fame partially from his strange behavior and appearance. The ] shows the article was not written in encylopedia style and was speedy deleted. I am not a big fan of Jeffree Star, but there could be some people that want to know a little about him without bias.--''']''' - ] 17:05, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
:Your own words damn you. He has a TV show "in the works". He has a growing fanbase from MySpace. He "will soon be a signed musician". None of these things satisfies our guidelines at ] or ]. When he has satisfied our guidelines, then he can have an article. We're not here to provide publicity for wannabes. '''Keep deleted'''. ]|] 23:52, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

*'''Endorse''' per Zoe. Strange outrageous transgender people have the same freedom to be non-notable as anyone else. When he actually has a TV show, and has actually released music that people buy, and his popularity has extended beyond myspace, then it might be time to reconsider. ] 02:32, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*Here's some other pages that contain information about Jeffree Star, I do think he has some fame and popularity:

:*'''Comment''' Myspace page: anyone can get one. Subject's own webpage: likewise. ED: no criteria for inclusion, anyone can get an article. An interview on a website with an Alexa of about 1.1 million: not worth much. Anything at all that meets the standard of ]? -- ] 03:09, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*Do a Google search for yourself, I'm sure there's more results than what I listed. I just listed them there to show people that there is information about Jeffree Star outside of Myspace. It's an incomplete list, and Star also has stated in one of the interviews, that he is friends with ] and has done the makeup for ].--''']''' - ] 03:33, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*'''Endorse''' per Zoe; nothing here indicates that the deletion process was mishandled, the closing admin misinterpreted the info, or that any relevant information was left out of the debate. -- ''']''' (]/]) 03:57, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*:What debate are you looking at? I only saw ], which was speedily closed before any real discussion had taken place. Certainly I haven't seen the sources given by Grejlen (some of which may be of worth, see below) discussed outside of this DRV, so I would say that relevant information has been left out. --]] 15:48, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*'''List on AfD''' - while some of the sources above are patently unreliable, there are two articles that, while from websites, do focus on the subject and aren't blog entries, and consequently should merit a discussion in AfD. . Plus there's the - it's basically a videoblog AFAICT, but I don't think we really have a guideline on whether vlogs are more reliable than blogs - certainly it would be adequate as a source for anything he said about himself on the interview. Unlike a blog, we can see that he was actually saying what he was saying. (P.S. His entry on Something Awful's is inexplicably missing from that list.) --]] 10:18, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*'''Endorse reluctantly''': I think that drag queens and outrageous people can well be famous without having much ''verifiable'' fame, but we don't have a compass here to point north out of the woods. The point is that it would require, for me, something fairly unambiguous to have been missing from consideration for there to be an overturning. Some information was missing, and the debate didn't run the full time, but the missing information isn't sufficient for overturning. Claims about what is likely to happen soon with the performer's career aren't germane. ] 20:15, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
*'''Endorse''', per Geogre. Yes, there is additional information, but it is far from compelling. ] 16:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC) |

Eating Manatees
My article, Eating Manatees was deleted because of copyright infringement and being a "hoax." I have verifiable sources and references. I proposed that I fix the infringement, but because the article does not appeal to various peoples, it was deleted. If wikipedia does not censor, then this article should go through. --Adam Wang 17:41, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Can you post the sources here? The rationale in the log was that it was a copyvio, if you have good sources, you should be able to at least rewrite it enough to send it to AfD. --badlydrawnjeff talk 17:56, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
