Speedy deletion nomination of File:Yanping Nora Soong self-portrait.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Yanping Nora Soong self-portrait.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. - This is like, silly. That website ripped the photograph off my escort ad, not the other way round. :) Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 20:26, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Flushing, After the Rain.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Flushing, After the Rain.jpg, which you've attributed to https://www.flickr.com/photos/photopoesie/7608993206/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:28, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Please stop. Continuing to remove file deletion tags from file description pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to File:Flushing, After the Rain.jpg, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Eeekster (talk) 20:29, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove the maintenance templates from Misplaced Pages articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at File:Union Square chess with spectators.jpg. Eeekster (talk) 20:31, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- I took these images. I hold the copyright. Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 20:33, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Please read what the notices say about permissions. Eeekster (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- It says that if I am the COPYRIGHT HOLDER, I can choose to publish them on Misplaced Pages. Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 20:35, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Anybody could create an account under that name. Therefore you need to do what it says above. Eeekster (talk) 20:38, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Union Square. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. BMK (talk) 23:03, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- I've tried really hard to edit collaboratively. At first, I was puzzled why you reverted me without explanation. Then, I tried to improve on my existing edit by adding sources. For my third edit, I tried to trim the text as you requested, and make the text tighter but I feel you're not trying to collaborate with me and are just being antagonistic. Your recent edits
Hello and welcome to Misplaced Pages. When you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:57, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Beyond My Ken. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Anna Politkovskaya, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! BMK (talk) 01:02, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Misplaced Pages about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Anna Politkovskaya. Thank you. BMK (talk) 01:20, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
You need to stop now
It states right at the top of the talk page This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Anna Politkovskaya article. Your post does not do that. Please do not post items like that again. MarnetteD|Talk 01:29, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- Ironically I guess I'll have to contact editors individually? Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 01:31, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- No. Absolutely not. This and this are also canvassing. One you file the 3rr report you let the admins who take a look at it decide. You DO NOT go around asking others to go to your report. You seem to be new here so I will advise you to slow down because, IMO at the rate your are going, you are going to have more problems rather than less. MarnetteD|Talk 01:46, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- My report is not an AFD, or anything requiring consensus or "voting". 3RR is not a consensus-driven process. Only a single administrator is required to intervene. I am messaging other editors because it might spur faster action. Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 01:48, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- I don't even see 3RR reports or anything that requires administrator action being included in WP:CANVASSING. That policy only talks about process-based procedures, not reports to administrators. Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 01:50, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- What part of DONT DO THAT do you not understand. A 3rr report is "to administrators." There is NO justification for canvassing in this situation. You have been provided links to WP:CANVASS as well as WP:BLP (which shows that BMKs edits were NOT a violation of 3rr.) If you aren't going to read and learn then there is nothing else I can do to try and stop the curved stick that could be in your future. MarnetteD|Talk 01:56, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- I am not canvassing other administrators. I am only asking non-administrator users for their input. Why are you being so hostile? Yanping Nora Soong (talk) 01:58, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Your uploads
Hi Yanping Nora Soong. I am Diannaa and I am an administrator on this wiki. Since all your uploads appear to have been uploaded elsewhere on the Internet prior to their upload here, an OTRS ticket is required. I see you have already sent a permission email. That's good. I have added the required {{OTRS pending}} template to the images. Some of your Flickr images show "All rights reserved", so they will require OTRS permission. Please leave the templates in place. Once an OTRS team member verifies the email, they will add the ticket to each file. This may take a while, since (like many areas of the wiki) they are experiencing backlogs. -- Diannaa (talk) 15:12, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
WP:BRD
In regard to our previous dispute on , please review WP:BRD. When your Bold edit has been Reverted by another editor, the next step, if you continue to think the edit is necessary, is to Discuss it on the article talk page, not to re-revert it, which is the first step to edit warring. During the discussion, the article remains in the status quo ante.
However, the material you added to the article today I think is just fine and does not violate WP:UNDUE, so I have not reverted it, but have copy-edited it. Thank you for adjusting your material to meet my previous objections. BMK (talk) 00:19, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
File permissions and Flickr
See : I've used the Internet Archive to document your statement that your Flickr and en:wp accounts are the same. I've edited your userpage to add a statement with this link as proof; feel free to remove it, of course, but the goal was to convince those who otherwise wouldn't believe that you were the same person. Since you've confirmed your identity, we don't need OTRS permission. Nyttend (talk) 02:34, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I got the idea, ironically, from OTRS — following this OTRS identification confirmation, I worked extensively with the user in question to get his own bio up to GA. A big part of that was using images that he'd taken himself, and because he'd confirmed his identity, there was no need to get permission confirmation for those images. It's basically the same situation here. Nyttend (talk) 03:22, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
Final Warning
I don't like to do it, but looking at your above history, your questions at the ref desk on subjects like how to get executed, and about dangerous chemical procedures, the next time you post guideline-breaching material I will report you to WP:SPI and WP:ANI and ask for you to be blocked indefinitely from editting. μηδείς (talk) 21:40, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
