Your edit to Forbes Wild Foods

A tag has been placed on Forbes Wild Foods, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Forbes Wild Foods is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Forbes Wild Foods. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. - CobaltBlueTony 16:03, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it needs to meet the guideline WP:CORP if its about a company. I could not establish that when I checked Google. If you can assert it meets WP:CORP, it will still need to be rewritten to conform to a neutral point of view. Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia, and this reads like an ad. Cheers and happy editing,  :) Dlohcierekim 16:10, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia. The article read like an advertisement. Encyclopedias have criteria for inclusion. WP:CORP spells out those criteria for business related articles. Misplaced Pages is not a place for ads.
You say in your note that the subject is "the leading Canadian wild food company." If this is verifiable, it would go a long way to establish notability. You should place the note you put on my page on the article's discussion page.
I'm not sure why you left a note on my page. From your note, I thought the article had been deleted. It has been tagged for cleanup because it reads like an advertisement. Although I agree with the cleanup tag, it was added by User:Athryn. You can contact that user at User_talk:Athryn. Please add your note to the bottom of the talk page. Please read the guidelines in the links I added to your talkpage to contribute more constructively. Hope this helps, Happy editing.  :) Dlohcierekim 17:03, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
