==Schedule==
Byrd Middle School runs on a block schedule. This means that there are four classes a day, each one lasting an hour and thirty minutes long. Students have four classes one day, and the next day, they have four different classes. These days are known as Day 1 and Day 2.

==iBooks==
Byrd is part of the Henrico County iBook program. Each student in the school gets an iBook G4 several weeks after school opens. The filters on the iBooks have received harsh backlash form the students. They are known to block things they shouldn't, such as websites students want to access for educational purposes.
