Dr. Justin A. McCarthy is an American demographer, Ottoman Empire expert, and history professor at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He is known for his controversial support of Turkey's denial of the controversial Armenian Genocide.
He was awarded the Order of Merit of Turkey by the President of Turkey in 1998 and he got his Honorary Doctorate at Süleyman Demirel University in Turkey.
