Tom then walks along the sidewalk until an alley dog eating a bone grabs Tom and goes to eat him. Spike saves Tom by knocking all off the teeth out of the dog and pokes an apple stuck in Tom's mouth into Tom's throat, saving him but knocking him out by accident. | ||

The Truce Hurts is a 1948 one-reel animated cartoon and is the 35th Tom and Jerry short released, created in 1947. It was produced in Technicolor and released to theatres on July 17, 1948, by Metro-Goldwyn Mayer. The title is a pun on the phrase "the truth hurts".
Plot
