Articles involved
Other steps in dispute resolution that have been attempted:
- This has literally been debated on Talk:Shining Path since at least June 2003. No real consensus has ever been reached, and the issue has come under fairly intense debate on that page for the past month and a half. I don't think anything short of mediation will allow for a genuine consensus to be built.
Issues to be mediated
- Whether the article should begin with the name this group wants to call itself in bold, which is the Communist Party of Peru, considering that there are several other Peruvian political groups that refer to themselves with the same name, or whether it should begin with the name that most English speakers use when referring to it, which is Shining Path (English for "Sendero Luminoso"). Please note that this is not a dispute on where the article should be; everyone seems to pretty much agree that it should be at Shining Path.
Additional issues to be mediated
Whether the article should link to sv:Perus kommunistiska parti, the Swedish wikipedia page for the group, or if it should link to sv:Den lysande stigen, a redirect page.
Parties' agreement to mediate
- All parties should sign below, indicating that they agree to mediate the issue. If any party fails to sign, or if a party indicates they do not agree, then the mediation will be rejected. Only signatures and "agree" or "disagree" should appear here; any comments will be removed.

Decision of the Mediation Committee
- Accept/Reject/Extend: Reason for rejection (if rejected), additional required information (if extended.)
