::This is a valid point, but that's simply not how things are done here: WP Languages is the project responsible for any topics that have to do with specific languages. And of course all of them will be related to linguistics in one way or another. If you'd like to change how the two projects divide up the articles between themselves, you can propose that on the project's talk pages. – ] 20:51, 6 June 2017 (UTC) | ::This is a valid point, but that's simply not how things are done here: WP Languages is the project responsible for any topics that have to do with specific languages. {{to|Uanfala}} some talk pages might have languages on them, but most of these seem to have neither tag, however Misplaced Pages works on the specific topic and study. As a former student of linguistics at university, I can tell you it is the study of grammar. I took English grammar and Romanian grammar was offered under the linguistics program. The study of a grammar is under a linguistics topic, so the tag should be left there.--] (]) 21:25, 6 June 2017 (UTC) | {{to|Uanfala}} some talk pages might have languages on them, but most of these seem to have neither tag, however Misplaced Pages works on the specific topic and study. Re this: I did ask you for clarification at Talk:Hindko, but you never replied so I assumed the matter was moot. Please explain there what is the problem you see with the sentence. Thanks! – Uanfala 23:38, 5 June 2017 (UTC) To editor Uanfala:, you were supposed to ping me as I am doing now, otherwise I would not know when a response came.--NadirAli نادر علی (talk) 23:39, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Alright, my bad, should have pinged you. And apologies for asking you again, but what is the problem you see with the sentence you removed? – Uanfala 00:10, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
WP Languages or WP Linguistics
Hi, edits like this are problematic for two reasons. First, the article rating and importance are wiped out – you're welcome to update these but please don't remove them. Second, articles about the grammars of individual languages fall under the scope of WP:WikiProject Languages, not WP:WikiProject Linguistics. If you don't want to take my word for it, you can have a look at the articles in Category:Grammars of specific languages. Of the ones that are tagged for either of the two projects, how many are not tagged for WP Languages? Do you see any article that is tagged for WP Linguistics? – Uanfala 20:44, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- To editor Uanfala:, although I disagree, i don't feel it's worth something for me to be caught up on. Replace the tag if you wish then, but also leave in the WikiProject Linguistics tag as topics on grammar and sound systems are subtopics of linguistics.--NadirAli نادر علی (talk) 20:48, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
