== The husband of the subject requesting its deletion is not relevant to the process. ==

Actually, I wonder why you think that. I think it very much is relevant to the process, unless you believe that our actions have absolutely no moral import whatsoever.--] 02:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to leave things for a day and see if they settle down. If we then end up with a huge wodge of content forks, there is nothing to do apart from redirecting them to one another. The Land 14:55, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Tesla's role in the history of radio

Don't redirect something that is currently on AfD like you did at Tesla's role in the history of radio... while it is on AfD the version that is was nominated can be modified to bring it into compliance with guidelines and policies, but a wholesale redirect just confuses the matter and is not in anyway helpful. Unless there is a strong consensus for a redirect at the AfD this should be left alone until the AfD closes.--Isotope23 18:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Was redirecting and putting up merge requests for several articles. That one was supposed to be a merge request, did not intend to remove the AfD discussion. Putting merge back in. Sparkhead 18:54, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

History of radio and Invention Of Radio

I have put the long versions of Hertz and Bose in Invention Of Radio like it was in the beginning. I have not altered Tesla's role in the history of radio again (unless I did it accidentally). Anthony Appleyard 20:18, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Can you state what you're trying to accomplish? It looks like you're attempting to put more content into History of Radio, which would just make that article even larger. Are you merging Radio priority controversy back into Invention Of Radio? Sparkhead 20:40, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

No. Most of the added bulk that I recently put in History of Radio, that you complained about, was the long versions of the Hertz and Bose matter, which I have now put back in Invention Of Radio where it was in the beginning. Anthony Appleyard 20:48, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

The long versions of those matters were already in Invention of Radio. You duplicated them and them erased the redundant portions. It seems you just rearranged what was already there with some spelling/grammar fixes, and potential information loss or gain. The changes are huge, hard to tell exactly. Since you're putting the information about the dispute controversy here, are you still opposing deletion of Tesla's role in the history of radio and Radio priority controversy? Sparkhead 20:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Tesla's role in the history of radio and Radio priority controversy can be deleted. Anthony Appleyard 21:02, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Can you put the Template:Db-author text (just put {{db-owner}} at the top) into each of those articles and comment in the AfD for each? Thanks. Sparkhead 21:11, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Done. Anthony Appleyard 21:21, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Above I typed "db-author" in the template field link, but gave you an example of "db-owner". {{db-author}} is the tag you want to put in there. Can you fix? Sorry about that. Sparkhead 21:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Done. Anthony Appleyard 21:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

LI Hall of Fame

Thanks for your improvements to the article. I did, however, remove the external links for the Long Island Philharmonic and Jimmy D'Aquisto. Red links are good; they encourage users to create articles. External links shouldn't be used to cover them up. Instead, why not start articles for one or both of them? They're both notable enough to have articles here. I'll be happy to help if you want. Kafziel 17:05, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I checked WP:EL and I see nothing covering this save for "an article shouldn't be full of them". Care to point me to a policy or guideline? Thanks. Sparkhead 18:00, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, you can see Misplaced Pages:Red link for why they're useful. By the way, I went ahead and started the article for Jimmy D'Aquisto. One down, one to go. Kafziel 19:02, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I had considered ref'ing them also, but I'll look into creation of the LI Philharmonic one as well. Sparkhead 19:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Mariah Carey

Sorry about that; the source that was there said the hospital was in New York (not Conneticut), which meant that the addition was wrong and needed to be removed. Also, a small tip—as per WP:FOOT, can you put citations after punctuation, not before? Thanks! --Spangineer (háblame) 21:51, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't my cite, but I had heard of the place before. Yep, I will try to remember to adhere to WP:FOOT. *Sparkhead 22:15, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I shortened it as you requested. And I would still appreciate some assisstance in cleaning up the mixtape-related articles, whatever the decision will be at the infobox issue. Please if you feel like answer me on my page. Thanks. Lajbi

Queen Article

Hello Sparkhead. Listen, I need your help on the Freddie Mercury article. You see, I was the one who put in the section "Cat lover" in the Personal Life part. I don't think it should wholly be deleted either, but I just don't know where to merge it into. Heh heh.. I'm just trying to improve Feddie Mercury's article, so please help me! Thanks a lot. JWW

Hi Sparkhead, the James W. Walter article could have been deleted given the age and opinions expressed within the previous AfD. This action was taken to avoid a deletion review and also the possibility of the article being recreated and then eligible for a speedy delete under WP:CSD criteria G4. Although I'm not going to express a vote in the discussion, it appears that the article meets WP:V and WP:BLP, and will likely be kept allowing the matter to be put to bed once and for all. Deletion Notice on Article Page

The following (in italics) was copied from my talk page: Since that seems to mirror the notice on the talk page, works for me. Thanks. *Sparkhead 00:54, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Good! No sense having an edit war in the part of the article you aren't supposed to change while the AfD is going on. Now we have an NPOV deletion notice. : ) (For some reason, that amuses me.) Strange how conflict is good for NPOV. Armedblowfish (talk|mail|contribs) 01:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

The following (in italics) was copied from my talk page: Your signature is over 160 characters in HTML, and over 30 when displayed. Is it the HTML length or the display length that is bothering you? I just added spaces to the code so it would break up better in the edit box, but that might not fully address your concern. The links to my talk page and email are mainly there because of my involvement in mediation, but I could shorten it to Armedblowfish (t|m|c). That might be slighlty confusing for new users (for whom the links are more useful), and to the rare English-as-a-second-language person or someone using an online translator such as Altavista, but then again "contribs" doesn't translate already. So was it mostly the horizontal length in the edit box you were concerned about, or would abbreviating the talk|mail|contribs part make you happier? The husband of the subject requesting its deletion is not relevant to the process.
