| Hi, I was reviewing your most recent addition to the Jewish views on slavery page. I noticed that you added that the Biblical concept was to treat slaves as chattel. No argument that that is what that source says, but I don't think that that represents the consensus opinion of historians. Hi, I was reviewing your most recent addition to the Jewish views on slavery page. I noticed that you added that the Biblical concept was to treat slaves as chattel. No argument that that is what that source says, but I don't think that that represents the consensus opinion of historians.
