<!-- ::The bickering over this photograph has been going on forever. Please, we need somebody impartial to come in and suggest a fair solution. It seems the same gang of people has been arguing over it and we are out of ideas. ] 12:45, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
:::IIRC There had been no arguing about the photograph for about half a year. Attempts at revisionism and expurgation of history should not be encouraged. --<font color="FC4339">]</font> <font color="C98726">]</font> 13:04, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
::::The photo (and similar ones) are nice for articles about Red Army and relevant operations (battle for the given cities, etc.). They may or may not be best (because of their controversiality) for more general articles, and I certainly don't think they are the best choice for articles about cities. My solution would be for certain users to stop trying to insert images with captions about 'Red Army liberating cities and being welcomed by extatic local population' into the articles, especially considering the text in ]. Please, leave such images to more specific articles where there is little other choice (], etc.). PS. I suggest moving/copying this discussion to article's/image's talk page.--<span style="border:1px solid #228B22;padding:1px;">]|]</span> 14:28, 20 October 2006 (UTC) -->

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hidden Gems

  • The Portal:Russia/Hidden Gems is to list recently unearthed articles that cover Russia-related topics which have been (a) neglected for quite some time and (b) require serious intervention of Russian editors. It is an extension of this page, according to the Russian proverb: "New" is something forgotten for good. As a rule of thumb, don't add articles edited by active members of project Russia.
  • The Portal:Russia/Russian Expansion subpage is to list recently edited articles on general topics that previously did not cover Russia-related specifics. Unless a whole section has been added, please provide diffs, for easy spotting.

October 16-31

Please stop your senseless accusations and check the references attached to the article. The article has already been reported below, btw.--Kober 12:58, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Also adopt more civil tone. - Darwinek 15:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
It is not a breach of civility to call inflammatory statements "inflammatory". Please check the dictionary. --Ghirla 08:59, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

October 1-15

The article is not edited by Georgian wikipedian(s) only. It is quite evenhanded and properly referenced using Georgian, Russian and Western sources.--Kober 17:53, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Not so. The civil war was "tacitly fueled by Russia", without references backing this up, it is not NPOV. And there are more like this one. I'll mark them as unsourced. Errabee 23:35, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I removed that passage about the civil war added by an anon user. I don't see any other POV problems in the text.--Kober 04:25, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
