*The '''abysmal ooze''' is a sentient, blue glowing ooze that has its origins in the ]. There, they do the bidding of ] and ooze demons. Abysmal oozes are unusual in that they possess a modicum of intelligence, probably because their origins lie within the Abyss. With this intelligence comes the abilities of ''telepathy'' and ''suggestion'', as the spells of the same names. Like many oozes, an abysmal ooze can attack by engulfing its prey and secreting a corrosive liquid (instead of acid, an abysmal ooze uses a caustic base). In addition, merely touching abysmal ooze cause a creature to become paralyzed and possibly suffer an energy drain attack. As with all creature native to the Abyss, they are ] in alignment. |

*An '''aquatic ooze''' is a land-dwelling that has adapted to an aquatic environment. This includes the gelatinous cube and green pudding. Aquatic oozes are unusual in that they possess a swim rate of movement. Like most oozes, they are mindless and thus ] in alignment. |

*A '''blood pudding''' is an ooze made entirely of the blood of its victims. These creatures are created through divine magical rites of ancient origin, typically invoking "Ichorus the blood goddess" from the ] ]. This type of ooze engulfs and constricts its victims in order to drain their blood, thus adding to its mass. Blood puddings are mindless, and thus ] in alignment. The goddess Ichorus is also of ] alignment. |

*'''Green slime''' is an ], a category of monster. It is more akin to a ] than an animal. It is a horrible, fetid growth, resembling a bright green, sticky, wet moss which grows on the walls and ceilings of caves, sewers, dungeons, mines, and the like. The '''green slime''' is notably different from other oozes. Being a growth, it is fixed to one place and cannot move or attack. For the most part, it is forced to feed off of vegetable, organic or mettalic substances in an underground wall. If it grows on a ceiling, however, it can sense if someone passes below, and drops onto them. Living creatures touched by a Green slime eventually turn into Green slime themselves. Green slime is vulnerable to light, heat, frost, and ''cure disease'' spells. Green slimes are mindless and cannot speak. As such, they are regarded as ] in alignment. A green slime will regrow even the tiniest residue remains, and can germinate to form a full sized ooze again years later. In the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' universe, huge colonies of green slimes exist deep beneath the earth. In the real world, ] are real creatures, albeit non-dangerous in nature. |

*A '''jelly curd''' is a 1-inch wide aquatic ooze that seeks to digest other creatures in order to transform into a gray ooze. These vorascious carnivores eat their way into any living flesh that they touch. Once a transparent jelly curd bores into a creature, it begins to digest it from the inside out. After this process is complete, the host creature wholly transforms into a full sized ]. Like most oozes, jelly curds are ] in alignment. |

*A '''jelly quasit''' is an ooze-like ] that is made of the same material as an ochre jelly. Like the standard ] from the ], a jelly quasit often acts as a servant to a more powerful demon. It appears as a humanoid blob of yellowish protoplasm with batlike wings and a pointed tail. Like most creatures from the ], jelly curds are ] in alignment. |

*The '''jelly wraith''' is an ] ], a type of ] creature. A jelly wraith has all the same statistics as a ] from the ], except as follows: |

|
:*Any ] slain by a jelly wraith becomes a jelly wraith |
|
|
:*Spawn are under telepathic command of the jelly wraith that created them |

*The '''black pudding''' is an ]. It resembles a bubbling, heaping pile of thick, black, ]-like (obviously) goo, roughly 15 feet across and 2 feet thick. In the ] ] ], the '''black pudding''' is an ]. It resembles a bubbling, heaping pile of thick, black, ]-like (obviously) goo, roughly 15 feet across and 2 feet thick. Like most D&D Oozes, the Black pudding is a mindless, underground-dwelling scavenger which drags itself around caves and sewers and absorbs and digests whatever it finds. It attacks by grabbing, grappling and constricting prey, and then inserting it directly into its liquid-esque mass. It also secretes a deadly acidic substance which strongly and quickly disolves weapons, clothing and organic tissue alike. Also, the Black pudding, when struck, instead of taking damage, splits into two smaller Black puddings (it only does this for slashing and piercing weapons, however). These also split into smaller Black puddings when struck, and this keeps on happening until they are too small and weak to do so further. |

*In the ] campaign setting there is an aquatic ooze called a '''green pudding'''. The green pudding is a black pudding that has adapted to life in a swamp. It has all the same statistics as a black pudding, except that it has a swim rate and lives in water. |

*In the ] campaign setting there is an ooze called a '''ice pudding'''. This transparent pudding is a black pudding that has adapted to life in the arctic. It has all the same statistics as a black pudding, except that it uses cold to subdue and digest its prey, instead of acid. |

*In the ] campaign setting there is an ooze creature called an '''arctic werepudding''' that appears in one of the adventures. It was created using the ] template suggested in the book. The werepudding in the adventure is a dwarf that is infected with a form of lycanthropy that changes him into an ice pudding. |

*The oldest Black puddings can become hundreds of feet in diamater, and are nothing short of vast pools of inky death. '''elder black puddings''' have many times the attack strength and hit points of a regular black pudding, and have much greater splitting and acid secretion abilities. |

Many oozes dwell underground, and most secrete an acid from their skin that dissolves flesh and other materials rapidly.
Oozes are essentially blind, but more than make up for that with an ability called "blindsight", which allows them to discern nearby objects and creatures without needing to see them.
