On June 23, editor Marquardtika deleted text and the citation for the following, claiming it didn't mention Tarkanian.<blockquote>Trump told Republican National Committee members in a closed-door gathering Thursday night that he'll travel to Nevada to back Sen. Dean Heller in a competitive Republican primary. Trump quizzed Nevada's delegation about how Heller's numbers looked headed into competitive match-ups in the GOP primary against Danny Tarkanian and, if he advances, in the general election against Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen. State GOP chairman Michael McDonald told Trump that Heller is in good shape.<ref>, '']'', Eric Bradner, February 2, 2018. Copyright problems

We will be adding sources as we move along. Right now, all we have is the official website for information on Mr. Tarkanain.

This is a word-for-for copy of his webpage (http://www.dannytarkanian.org/about-danny), which is considered a violation of copyright. He is also not even a candidate for election, he's a candidate for a nomination, so he's not obviously notable. Hairhorn (talk) 19:27, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Returning copyright problems

This article was recreated here with text copied from . The tag was removed, here, with some of the pasted text, but substantial material remained. For instance, the passage beginning "Upon graduation Danny attended..." is duplicated from that source. Here, the problem was compounded, with new content imported from . We cannot use text from either of these sources without verification of compatible license. Please see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials.

A larger issue, however, is that text from those sources cannot be presumed to be neutral. An article on this individual which consists of information supplied by him or his supporters is likely to be tagged for conflict of interest or advertisement. --Moonriddengirl 15:19, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Cleaned up

Finished new page at Talk:Danny Tarkanian/Temp. Please check it.--Jerzeykydd (talk) 20:10, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

I've removed two sentences that were copied from the sentence. Otherwise, the rewrite seems to clear copyright concerns. --Moonriddengirl 14:03, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Irrelevant

Tarkanian failed to engage the voters and is losing to Sue Lowden by 18% in race for nomination, making this page irrelevant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.4.65 (talk) 15:11, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism of page

Changes to Danny Tarkanian's religion being Scientology should be considered vandalism of this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.193.120.197 (talkcontribs) 21:22, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Deletion

Takanian is deff notable..he ran for State Senate, Sec. of State, and U.S. Senate...he was endorsed by prominent individuals such as Jim DeMint....also he is the son of Jerry Tarkanian. In addition, he is a former NBA player. Enough said.--Jerzeykydd (talk) 23:22, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Tarkanian is not "a former NBA player." You have to have actually played in a game to be considered a former player. Being cut before ever stepping foot on the court doesn't count. —Preceding unsigned comment added by unsigned (talkcontribs) 23:09, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Changed "Occupation" label in Infobox

"Perennial candidate" is not an occupation, save perhaps for rare, frequent filing candidates such as Alan Keyes, who has paid himself to run. Though he has often run losing campaigns, Tarkanian is a non-practicing attorney and businessman. "Entrepreneur" seems a better fit. Activist (talk) 19:30, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Inappropriate edits reverted

On June 23, editor Marquardtika deleted text and the citation for the following, claiming it didn't mention Tarkanian.

Trump told Republican National Committee members in a closed-door gathering Thursday night that he'll travel to Nevada to back Sen. State GOP chairman Michael McDonald told Trump that Heller is in good shape.

That sure as heck looks like a mention to me. One might question the motivation for such an edit, and for the editor, and wonder if the editor has an undeclared COI, and could be a paid editor given the context of the thousands of apparently similar apple-polishing edits made by that editor?
