Sangar awakens to battle a mysterious female, after she attacks the ''Earth Cradle''. In his first scenerio, he's approached by the Gaiking team, but quickly leaves them behind.

	:Kusuha Mizuha - Female, pilot of the ''Ryujinki'' and ''RyuKoOh''. This is Kusuha's second appearance in the Alpha series, and is the only returning selectable character from ''Alpha''. At the start of her story, the ''RyuOhKi'' reappears, attacked by the ''KoOhKi'', piloted by a mysterious masked pilot, as well as the Mikene Empire. It is rescued by the combined efforts of the Mazinger and GaoGaiGar teams.
	:Brooklyn Luckfield - Male, alias "Bullet", pilot of the ''KoRyuOh''. This is Bullet's second appearance in the Alpha series, and is playable only if Kusuha is selected as the protagonist.

	*The first Super Robot Wars that uses the "Squad System", which allows the player to arrange squads (up to 4 units acting as a single unit) to participate in battles.
	*The first Super Robot Wars game features series that having toy merchendises produced by Bandai's business rivals (the GaoGaiGar, which the series is produced by ] but toys produced by ] (now ]). However, series that have completely no relationship with the Bandai/Sunrise/Toei was not given any appearances in participate the SRW series, until ]'s "]" series participates in the ]. Some years later, "]", a series exclusively owned by Tomy, participated in Super Robot Wars K which marked the first animation having no relationship with ] to participate in the SRW series.<ref>The original novellic ] series was produced under ], a corporation with close relation to Sunrise, even the animation were produced by two Namco/Bandai-unrelated producers.</ref>
	*The first game to introduce "Dynamic Kills", variants on attack animations, such as Daitarn 3's "Sun Attack", showing certain attacks destroying targeted enemies, whereas most attacks proceed exactly the same, regardless of whether they destroy the enemy or not.
