Note! The template-message(s) below contain(s) material found amusing and is/are kept for that reason.
They are NOT intended, nor should they be used, for any research or serious use.

Your neighbors have been blocked in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for violating policy against letting off fireworks and munitions in celebration of the Gregorian New Year against the peace of this State, the government and dignity of the same. To contest this block, please move to another State and let them deal with you or email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list.

Note to sysops: Shooting off fireworks where it's illegal should almost never be done. If you disagree, contact your system's administrators.

I have a webserver. All that should be there are media files for upload to WikipediA or some other Wikimedia site. Almost all are either work done on other free (Usually PD, sometimes GFDL) media, or are entirely new work that I hold the entire copyright to and release it. Sometimes I will have fair use images. Currently there should be:

UA-Gilligan'sIsland — {{fairusein}} United Artists, next to their other two titlecards. This was cropped from the ending of an epsiode of Gilligan's Island ("Quick! It's gonna sink!" or something similar to that).

If you do upload one of this for me, please let me know somehow. Thanx for listening (We now return to the scheduled talk page below (the ToC))! 68.39.174.238 21:55, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

They do look a bit suspicious, but Metal Archives confirms that Tundra and Frostmoon exist. I can't really say much about Domen, but it comes up on Google and the author seems to be in good faith so I assume it's real. Thanks for your comments. Prolog 04:08, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

SVg

I will convert it to SVg while I'm at it, though I wish you would have told me on my talk page, I stumbled apon it by chance. Why is it that you do not have a main page? Do you value your anominimity to let your identity be only known as a string of numbers? Dfrg.msc 09:30, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Right. So I set about trying to convert it to SVG, by opening it with Macromedia fireworks and Paint Shop Pro respectively and trying to save as file type SVG - to no avail, SVG is not even listed in the dropdown save-as menu on either. What to do then, do I need to re-create the Image(s)? Thanks, Dfrg.msc 23:25, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

BJAODN

Regarding this, a friend who found it hilarious posted at BJAODN with my permission. Right after it was posted, however, the user who wrote it originally vandalized it (at BJAODN) to make it seem more sympathetic to his/her position, and it remained that way until I fixed it just now. I think that's why it seemed a bit harsh. Thanks for the head's up. · j e r s y k o talk · 16:48, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Who the Primetime expert is

If you want a real Primetime expert, talk to Connel MacKenzie over at Wiktionary wikt:User talk:Connel MacKenzie, where he is probably one of the best administrator there. He first brought notice of this plagiarist's activities here after fighting him over at Wiktionary. I just mostly catalog other user's work in fighting vandalism here, though I will report and clean up vandalism myself when I spot it. I also report vandals spotted by others when their reports are not put in the right place, like Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism. The only two times I have tangled with this vandal is when someone reported one of his socks at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard and when I spotted a confession. My work on Misplaced Pages:Long term abuse/Primetime was mostly to tidy up the page and to add missing information, like his Jimbo Wales ban and an infobox. Jesse Viviano 05:05, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Posting as an anon in case of Wikistalking. The Anti-Colonel Sanders vandal is B&W Anime Fan (talkcontribspage movesblock userblock log). At the moment he's indefinitely blocked for sockpuppet vandalism with The nothing guy (talk · contribs), and he's emailed me stating that "I will not ever vandalize again if you unblock me, but if you don't I WILL become the next WoW. All you have to do is unblock me. Think about. I would love to help the encyclopedia." We were fortunate enough that he emailed us using his ISP address, so I'm still balancing the prospect of either being able to manage/track this kid through his semi-legitimate, but still disruptive account or report him to his ISP or threatening to do so if we detect him again. In his email he also claims to have a dynamic IP address, so I'm not sure how much resources I want to throw into chasing after him/her. Please keep all replies here for the time being until I've figured out how to deal with B&W Anime Fan and co. with other administrators familiar with his case. I'm just starving B&W Anime Fan of the attention he craves. Hi,

I haven't seen you on Wiktionary in a while, so I forgot your numeric IP when I rolled back your changes to WP:'T. I haven't checked all of your edits there yet, but the one that triggered my rollback was your removal of Rickyboy as a sock.

Perhaps you could discuss it with WillBeBack before removing that (or any others) again.

Hi anonymous user, I saw your last edits and reverted them here. I guess you had deleted the links because someone was trying to advertise for products (see definition of what´s spam under Misplaced Pages:Spam). I have no advertising interest at all: I inserted them there because I think that if there are only few manufacturers, then this is relevant to the topic. If I´m wrong about this, please tell me, but please also giving a precise reference to which criterion on Misplaced Pages:Spam would be infringed. The links really look okay to me. Speaking of that page, I want to tell you that Flexiwire (talk · contribs) made a post today claiming to be behind both WoW (original) and WiC. I think you should probably examine this info and, if necessary, incorporate it into the Newgatery page. Scobell302 02:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

At this point, I'm not sure what additional changes, if any, should be made; however, I will continue to notify you of any new developments regarding these vandals (albeit infrequently). Scobell302 02:51, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

BTW

I strongly suspect that Shultz (talk · contribs) (aka Shultz III (talk · contribs), Shultz IV (talk · contribs), 68.102.193.78 (talk · contribs)) is the Juche vandal on the Korean Misplaced Pages. Shultz (and his IP) has been known to create redirects of "Kim Il Sung city" to "Seoul" and "Roh Moo Hyun city" to "Pyongyang" across several different Wikis (en, ko, ru to name a few), and one major theme of the Juche vandal was to redirect "Seoul" to "Kim Il Sung City", "Busan" to "Kim Jong Il City", and (less frequently) "Pyongyang" to "Roh Moo Hyun City". In addition, Shultz's IP has made a substantial amount of edits on the Korean Misplaced Pages related to the WiC template and marking socks. Finally, the Juche vandal announced its retirement on September 11, the same day as Shultz (as Shultz IV)'s last known edit. For more information, please check the contributions for the accounts listed above, as well as the contribs/talk pages of 68.102.193.78 on the Korean and Russian Wikipedias (possible other Wikis as well). (Please note that I'm about to sign off for tonight, so you don't need to respond on my talk page.) Scobell302 03:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

The Juche vandal's last edit was from the account ko:사용자:Last message from... to the page ko:사용자토론:On this day, 9-11, WiJ hereby retires. Goodbye! (the message is still visible today). Another think that makes me think that Shultz is the Juche vandal is that the Juche vandal appears to be a native English speaker with some basic knowledge of Korean, which is exactly how Shultz describes himself in his userbox gallery. If you'd like to examine the Juche vandal's edits in more detail, this page lists the vast majority of the accounts he has used. Scobell302 04:24, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

"In this edit, isn't 4 still a majority of 6, or is there some supermajority requirement for closing a case? 68.39.174.238 19:49, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Two separate issues here. First, there are 8 active arbitrators so 5 is the majority. (6 are away). Second, the cases always take 4 net votes to close. (Support minus the oppose votes). Does this explain? FloNight 19:56, 4 November 2006 (UTC)"

Thank you

Just a quick note to thank you for de-SPAMMING Validation (drug manufacture). It has been on my watchlist for sometime, as I have been awaiting a new growth of thick skin. --DO11.10 02:26, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Nah, I don't have a problem with that stuff, that editor was clearly misguided. The skin thinning happened in Flow cytometry, which made me rethink attempting to remove spam from most articles. I still have my favorite (sigh) link spammers, whom I revert on a regular basis, but I have generally shied away from the spam "issues".--DO11.10 04:22, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

User:CoolKatt number 99999's userpage

Hi 68!

Thanks for your many contributions to Misplaced Pages. Is there a reason you keep adding banned-user templates to CoolKatt's userpage? This user, as far as I can tell, has not been banned, and may return after his block expires. He may not edit US TV station articles, but may edit other articles. Adding a banned user template to a user who is not permabanned is a bad idea, per the policy at WP:BAN: Misplaced Pages's hope for banned users is that they will leave Misplaced Pages with their pride and dignity intact, whether permanently or for the duration of their ban. As such, it is inappropriate to bait banned users or take advantage of their ban to mock them. While your edit may have not been intended to mock this user, adding a banned user template for a user who has not been banned from editing will only add fuel to the fire, and will not allow this user to make a dignified exit. Firsfron of Ronchester 22:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification, and the correction, 68. Best, Firsfron of Ronchester 00:13, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Newgatery

Wow your Newgatery subpage is great. I recently had a run-in with an unusual vandal that created several random pages, and replaced a talk page and subsequently my user page and talk page, with the Denver International Airport article. The block log refers to them as "the airport vandal". Do you know anything about this vandal? Might it be an appropriate addition to your wall of shame? I certainly consider them unusual but I'm not sure if they're notable :) Dylan Lake (t·c·ε) 00:13, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: "About the sockpuppetry you've been investigating"

First of all, I must admit my initial "anon-biggotry." I feel ashamed. :) You have a longer history here then I do.

I appreciate your offer... I think RFCU would reject my request since there is no community/arbcom ban and there hasn't been any "votestacking". If you can help me start a Puppet case that would be great. ---J.S (t|c) 23:20, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

The only category he might qualify for is "C. Ongoing, serious pattern vandalism". I'll apply under that and see what happens. He's never been under "remedies issued by the arbitration committee" or "community-based bans or blocks". *shrug* I'll create the request... the worst that can happen is a "no". :) ---J.S (t|c) 04:10, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Community blocks, as I understand it, refer to the indefinite blocking of a user based on consensus. I've seen a number of notes on WP:AN to that effect. ---J.S (t|c) 04:19, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

History of the United States Constitution

Several months ago you inserted a template indicating a tonal problem with the article, but never explained what the problem was. Could you leave a comment on its talk page explaining your complaint so that it can be corrected? -- VGF11 00:58, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

User:Richardbooth

Actually, it looks like most of the articles/edits by this user are legit, although the notability of at least one , Clement John Tranter is questionable at best. I get the idea someone may have Wikijacked his user account, maybe he saved his password and his kid is playing with his 'pooter when he ain't around. Just a WAG. YouTube boilerplate

I like the changes... but we've shifted gears to just removing the links. (Shooting first, asking questions latter... :)) Most of the articles we run across don't really have active editing going on. ---J.S (t|c) 07:57, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: well-written stuff

I forgot already. =( It had something to do with Esperanza, an organization that I am a member of. Perhaps you commented just recently during an MfD against Esperanza or during the Overhaul.--Ed 03:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

I wish =(. You know, you're one of the anons I've seen around here that are actually excellent editors! Keep up the good work!.--Ed 03:54, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

I see.

Well then, it would appear my joke has failed. Thanks for the info. Wavy G 02:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

As far as the copyvio on this article is concerned, I have no way of knowing whether the content was used without permission or not. Either way, I am glad that we are rid of it. Thanks. ---Charles 04:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Hmm. Neither comment was trolling. I had a quick look at your IP record and put you down as on the side of the angels, on top of which you were making valid points (and I had just copied the page over from wikipedia: and still haven't changed the style properly. The other IP was pretty eratic in behaviour and we may never see back. --BozMo talk 09:48, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Public Domain Images

BTW I think you need to move your new site listings to Public_domain_image_resources rather than the Public Domain talk pages --BozMo talk 11:10, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

And now for the real reason...

Would you mind deleting the revision of my talk page that you reverted? It was loaded with personal infos and while I may not like the uzers mentioned, I don't think that level of "4th wall breaking" is justified by anything I've seen them do. 68.39.174.238 02:34, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanx dude. 68.39.174.238 06:34, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
No problem. You now have 1,137 new messages; just 200 more to go.  :) Can't sleep, clown will eat me 06:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Are you going to be actively watching? I can't tell via deletion etc how many edits there are. 68.39.174.238 06:53, 5 December 2006 (UTC) PS. I'm willing to bet by the time I DO get 200 more there'll be an applicable barnstar ;D!
Uncyclopedia has a 1337 barnstar although it isn't all that aesthetically appealling.  ;-) Can't sleep, clown will eat me 07:06, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

User:Sword of Christ

It appears to be a database glitch. I get a message he is blocked when I try to block him, it's just not showing properly. (see User_talk:HighInBC/Archive_14#User:Sword_of_Christ). - Mgm| 09:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

wpcd

The article text was written when the article was in its present location but the page history was lost when it was moved and the incorrectly move-reverted. Some more article history but not all is on the corresponding Misplaced Pages space page. That make sense? --BozMo talk 06:42, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Some more of the edit history is buried in the middle of http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Misplaced Pages:Misplaced Pages-CD/Download&action=history btw.

Incidentally your comment on the AfD on the current version article (which I have tried to cite a bit more etc) would be appreciated. You are obviously a pretty clued up editor and I'd respect your opinion even if you decide on balance we ought to put it back in Misplaced Pages space. I still think its a weak keep, but obviously other people have legit other views. --BozMo talk 12:26, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Demand that You Cease and Desist

The following "discussion" is an archived post of the attempted trolling and ban evasion by the author/user below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as right below it). No further edits should be made to this archive.

The result was blatant trollery and ban evasion by a notorious vandal — Username blocked and IP going to be blocked as a long undiscovered/unused open proxy 68.39.174.238 06:47, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

In this posting, you admitted that you have been harassing me to make me upset. You have been systematically going to all wikis where I have edited and posted notices about me in order to get me blocked. These include the Spanish Misplaced Pages, Commons, Meta, and Wiktionary. You have also badgered administrators on those wikis into locking my user pages so that you can leave nasty, pointless notices about what happened to me on Misplaced Pages, seven months after I was banned here. You also badger administrators by repeated postings into deleting my contributions. You know that I do not like being called a vandal and that I do not believe that my ban was justified. You write such notices with smiley faces, jesting exclamation marks, and exclamations like yay!, as if you're having a lot of fun and as if you think that bullying me is funny.

I demand that you cease this behavior immediately. I am considering starting a request for comment about this. I can tell that you are in your teens, but you can not be so stupid as to not know what bullying is. I also realize that I am banned, but that does not mean that you can act this way towards me. I am not a vandal. I never hurt anyone. The only thing I ever did was insult you four months ago. I also made some copyright violations seven months ago. I am not Willy on Wheels or Johnny the Vandal. I tried to help Misplaced Pages, and I think that you actually are hurting it.--Temp22 04:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

If you are banned (as you claim to be), then you shouldn't be editing anywhere on Misplaced Pages. This is sockpuppetry (WP:SOCK).--Ed 04:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
WHAT IS YOUR POINT?? His behavior needs to stop NOW and editing using a "sockpuppet" is far less serious than his behavior. (Note though I didn't really pretend to be anyone else.) If he doesn't guarantee that he will stop, then I will start an RFC.--220.73.47.9 05:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
To anyone who sees this later, you may wish to read WP:'T for the background on who the above is. 68.39.174.238 05:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
That page is completely irrelevant. I haven't seen any proof of "Criminal external harassment," either, and that page was written six months ago. No one has attempted to defend your behavior, which is fine, because it is indefensible.--220.73.47.9 05:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Primetime, at this point the best way you can help Wikimedia is to stop editing its projects. Your copyright violations did not end when you were banned here - you've added more copied material here and to other projects. It's pointless, as they will all be removed sooner or later. It wastes your time and the time of other editors. If you don't want editors and admins hassling you then just stop hanging around where you aren't welcome. -Will Beback · · 06:48, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: User:Primetime

Thanx for whacking Primetime's latest round of sockpuppetry and trolling. Can I ask for some help? He's trying to save his reputation by attacking me on Commons. See commons:User:HQCentral and commons:User:Temp. Thanx for whatever happens. 68.39.174.238 07:45, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Primetime

Wow, thanks! I never heard of Primetime. Naturally, I filed an RFCU as I would have done to another user I'm watching. (see Cute 1 4 u). However, when I saw WP:'T, I was appalled by the blatant violations this user has committed! Academic honesty is enforced in all high schools and universities, and that user should know better!--Ed 04:43, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

That Fisherman vandal dude

Hi! Thanks for the Speedy tags on those two nonsense articles by Lord Tortiville II (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), who also twice added nonsense to Back to the Future about time travel by head trauma. The first time for that vandal edit was as Bluechevylover (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) on 12/11. I didn't quite know what to do other than put a test4 on the new name and (after some research) a hoax tag on the new articles. Speedy? Suspected Sock? I haven't done either of those templates to date, so I was nervous about trying that. Thank you for rushing in where I feared to tread! I'll have to memorize your IP now. -- Karen | Talk | contribs 08:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove content from Misplaced Pages, as you did to George Schlatter. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please Use Edit Summaries

When editing an article on Misplaced Pages there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this: The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature. Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Lcarsdata 20:45, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Just a note, I now understand your re-reversion, thanks for your explanation. Lcarsdata 20:46, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry. Lcarsdata 20:49, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: {{Coatofarms}}

Hi - I think this has happened in a lot of cases, and I'm going to (hopefully) have Carnildo run Orphanbot on all the untagged images to see which have no licence (as the licence on a coat of arms is dubious at the best of times). Thanks, Martinp23 23:29, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

User:68.39.174.238/Newgatery

Would you mind if this were deleted? Have you seen WP:DENY? User:Zoe|(talk) 23:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I understand your reasoning, but how do you reconcile it with DENY? User:Zoe|(talk) 00:02, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, I'm not too sure how I feel about DENY myself, so I'm not going to do anything about it, but don't be surprised if somebody doesn't list it for MfD some day. User:Zoe|(talk) 00:11, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Cheers.  :) User:Zoe|(talk) 00:27, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Regarding your edit to Misplaced Pages:Template messages/Maintenance:

Your recent edit to Misplaced Pages:Template messages/Maintenance (diff) was reverted by automated bot. You have been identified as using a shared IP address to edit a page that experiences malicious edits by users that continue to edit via shared IP ranges or open proxies. Since these ranges are too large (collateral damage) to be blocked and user's IP addresses are not visible, edits to this page by logged-out editors of server or shared IP ranges and new users are reverted. The changes can be reviewed and restored by established users. // VoABot II 04:09, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove content from Misplaced Pages, as you did to Bone healing. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
