== History ==
Freddie Mercury Alley is located between Noiji's Alley and Kawalerii Street in Warsaw's district Ujazdów. The plaque with its name was unveiled 22nd November 2019. The location of Mercury's Alley is not accidental because it is located near the Embassy of Great Britain, which is the country where the musician grew up. The streets of John Lennon and George Harrison are also nearby. The originator of the project was Piotr Otrębski, and the idea itself was supported by the Polish Queen Funclub.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://warszawa.naszemiasto.pl/aleja-freddiego-mercuryego-oficjalnie-otwarta-to-wielki/ar/c1-7440031|title=Aleja Freddiego Mercury'ego oficjalnie otwarta. On this day in Feltham, London, a street called "Freddie Mercury Close" was opened on the street where the musician grew up.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.antyradio.pl/Muzyka/Rock-News/Freddie-Mercury-dostal-wlasna-ulice-39209|title=Freddie Mercury dostał własną ulicę.
