In May 2019, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk created a new 501(c)(4) organization, a political action committee intended to target Democrats, called Turning Point Action, which purchased the assets of Students for Trump, a youth group founded in 2015 at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina by John Lambert and Ryan Fournier.
