::You are not the "only editor who has to add page numbers", and I am not "demanding" that you include them. I am politely asking that you include them when you cite sources, as policy says you should. It's an important part of a complete citation.
::I have been editing articles on food and food history here for many years. If you look at my edit history, you'll see that I've recently edited not just articles that you have edited, but also articles on ], ], ], ], ], etc. etc. As it happens, you recently edited ], which over the years I've edited 9 times, so it's on my watch list. I am not "stalking you" -- I am following a large number of articles on food. --] (]) 01:51, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
:::I think you are stalking me. You said that you just reviewed the additions to the category after seeing the new category on your watchlist, but you reverted on Irish Stew in the same bunch of reverts. That article wasn't in the category, so the only way that could have happened is if you went into my edit history. I'm asking you politely to stop. And please don't post here repeatedly, once in a while is ok. ] (]) 02:00, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
::::So you want to accuse me of things, but you don't want me to reply on your page. Nice.
::::Re Irish stew, you might notice that I last edited that page in December 2019, months before you touched it, so it was on my watch list. --] (]) 02:15, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
:::::I don't think you're being honest here. On September 3rd you came here to say "you shouldn't revert things simply because they aren't well sourced." Only a few days later you're back with "please include page numbers when citing sources (]). This is important for ]". It's not polite, no matter how politely you asked. You can post here, but please do so constructively. ] (]) 02:34, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

::::::It's perfectly polite and constructive to inform fellow editors of WP policies. We try to be collaborative here on WP. And I don't see what that has to do with "honesty".
::::::By your definition of "stalking", it seems to be ''you'' that is "stalking" ''me'': I saw on my watchlist this morning that you edited four articles within an hour that I had previously edited and that you had never previously edited: ], ], ], and ].
::::::To be clear, there is actually nothing wrong with being interested in the same topics as another editor, or even following their edits and reviewing them. What is not allowed is harassment in the form of (for example) systematically reverting edits without valid reasons. --] (]) 15:16, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
:::::::Please don't post here again. ] (]) 17:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Waddie96. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Tava—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. comrade waddie96 (talk) 10:53, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Don't post this crap on my talk page.Spudlace (talk) 10:54, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Rollbacks

You rolled back several of my edits yesteday with no explanation. Very strange. cOrneLlrOckEy (talk) 13:02, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

I didn't "rollback" your edits, the articles were missing infoboxes and I incorporated the information there, but I don't think I removed anything - you can let me know if you think I removed something that should be restored but it would be better on the article talk page. Disambiguation link notification for May 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ciambella, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cocoa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:21, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Papaya. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. This is an encyclopedia which does not use contractions. Zefr (talk) 22:08, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Contractions? Ok. Spudlace (talk) 22:18, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
"Papaya "can't" be used. Zefr (talk) 22:23, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I see it. Your rewrite is fine. Spudlace (talk) 22:25, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Couscous

Hey Spudlace, Sorry for the reverts! Can you put in the reference the page(s) that confirms the information? Kind Regards -TheseusHeLl (talk) 21:07, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

Done Spudlace (talk) 21:22, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

Don't you think it's a misrepresentation of sources to say that "Lucie Bolens has dated the origin of couscous several millennia earlier." while AFP says that "Lucie Bolens, has described primitive couscous pots" and the Encylopedia "that Berbers were preparing couscous". I don't think "the presence of primitive pots" or "Berbers were preparing couscous as early as 238 to 149 b.c.e." means that Bolens dated the origin. Any ideas? -TheseusHeLl (talk) 22:19, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Good point, I've changed it. Spudlace (talk) 15:33, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Seneca

You've added the above link to at least a couple of frozen dessert articles, but that actually refers to multiple people. Would you mind disambiguating that link please? Thank you! -- Fyrael (talk) 19:47, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

I'm aware but I couldn't fix it immediately (the source wasn't specific whether it was Seneca the elder or younger). Since no one else has fixed it yet, go ahead and remove the link for now, I'll get it when I figure out which one it is. Spudlace (talk) 19:53, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 20:44, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Yeah I fucked up, thanks for fixing that. Spudlace (talk) 20:49, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Misplaced Pages, as you did to Ouzo. Misplaced Pages is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Misplaced Pages uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Please do not add spam links to beer stores selling products to articles on Misplaced Pages. It is an encyclopedia, not a free advertising platform. Your edit has been reverted. Netherzone (talk) 21:46, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I copied this from another article and forgot to mention this in the edit summary. I didn't see any inappropriate external links when I copied it, but the cite does seem to be some kind of online liquor shop so I've removed it. Spudlace (talk) 21:53, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
I saw your note in your edit summary before coming back here - Just so you know, you are not supposed to copy from within WP without giving attribution. If you do provide a link to the original article, and post on both article talk pages. See this policy info: WP:COPYWITHIN. If the other article had a spam link, please remove it, and please add a RS citation. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 22:04, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Fourth of July foods

Thanks for adding the category to Pork ribs. But the pork ribs article doesn't mention the Fourth and the Fourth of July article doesn't mention ribs, or for that matter any other food. So adding a Category is putting the cart before the horse. The article should discuss the connection (with RS, of course) before a category is added, as you've done with Salmon and peas. --Macrakis (talk) 15:14, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Good point, I've added a source.Spudlace (talk) 05:34, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Spudlace. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Misplaced Pages:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! - TNT 21:46, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk of the Detroit Pistons

Hello. Is there any particular reason why you reverted my edits on his article? 2605:6000:1713:4CE2:381B:F255:86F1:C41F (talk) 00:23, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Ukrainian Misplaced Pages is not a reliable source, and it was the source you stated in your edit summary. The right place to discuss this would be the article talk page. Spudlace (talk) 00:27, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
