Hello Marek! | |||
You confused the Wiki articles, which are NOT FORUMS with the talkpages of Wikiarticles, which are the definition of forums.

https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_publisher_of_original_thought See POINT 4: Discussion forums. Please try to stay on the task of creating an encyclopedia. You can chat with people about Misplaced Pages-related topics on their user talk pages, and should resolve problems with articles on the relevant talk pages, but please do not take discussion into articles. In addition, bear in mind that article talk pages exist solely to discuss how to improve articles; they are not for general discussion about the subject of the article, nor are they a help desk for obtaining instructions or technical assistance. Material unsuitable for talk pages may be subject to removal per the talk page guidelines. If you wish to ask a specific question on a topic, Misplaced Pages has a Reference desk; questions should be asked there rather than on talk pages.

:If RSN isn't a place for that, then why is FR bringing it to there? What do you think ? It's not-so-thinly veiled block shopping and agitation. That comment of his has NOTHING to do with the discussion at RSN. But hey, that one's just hunky dory. Can I remove that?
:And the length? If I don't include the diffs I get accused of making unfounded ASPERSIONS (because, you know, I can't expect people to read my mind). If I do include diffs, it's too long. can be ignored if you choose. Somebody thought they'd been outed is all. Or you can opine if you like but I just thought I would try to alleviate any christ what now thoughts you might have had. I'd give it a miss if I were you, since he will argue forever, but I didn't want to talk about you behind your back even in passing. Oh speaking of, if you still care about the place we do not name there's a thread about the steward elections; your name came up there but not in a bad way about you either Elinruby (talk) 16:30, 13 February 2024 (UTC)

Hello Volunteer Marek,
a request for amendment that affects the 1-way interaction ban with Piotrus and a 1-way interaction ban with Volunteer Marek
from the World War II and the history of Jews in Poland case has been made at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment § Amendment request: World War II and the history of Jews in Poland. Your input would be welcome.
Best regards,

Threading
This is unrelated to our back-and-forth, but it is on the same article talk page. I indented and moved your 04:57, 7 July 2024 reply to JDiala because it split their reply to themselves. I hope you don't mind. Link for review. If you revert, I won't contest it. While I'm here, I struck the DE comment and the explanation is available with my 06:15, 7 July 2024 reply. Carry on, Mr rnddude (talk) 06:31, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
Utsa Patnaik
Hello VolunteerMarek. I had a query about the reliability of Utsa Patnaik on the Bengal Famine of 1943 article? I ask because you fully removed her opinion from the body on June 24 because it was apparently fringe, yet another anonymous user on July 1 added a whole paragraph sourced to Patnaik to the lead about inflation even though it's not a summary of the body and with no remaining mention of Patnaik in the body. I think her view deserves some mention in the body but clearly what this anonymous user added is undue and not following Misplaced Pages's guidelines for the lead section. No other scholar even gets named in the lead apart from Patnaik. 185.21.22.198 (talk) 11:22, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Patnaik , Monbiot and Hickel are most certainly fringe by any reasonable definition of fringe. “Comment is free” is not a reliable source. Volunteer Marek 18:49, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee has resolved by motion that:
Remedies 5.1 and 5.2 of World War II and the history of Jews in Poland (the topic and interaction bans on My very best wishes, respectively) are repealed.

Arbitration amendment request archived
The request for amendment in which those two motions were proposed has been closed and is archived at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment/Archive 128#Amendment request: World War II and the history of Jews in Poland. The repeal of remedy 5.2 means that the ban on My very best wishes interacting with you has been lifted. SilverLocust 💬 07:30, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
