Hi Al: I was #6 on your list of most popular ISFDB authors w/out wikipedia pages. I am a difficult subject because of the different directions in which I've done things, so I took the liberty of making my own. Also there seemed to be a large number of web pages that referred to me without there being a page there to be linked to. Can you or somebody go over the page I made to make sure it functions as a Misplaced Pages page should? A stern administrator complained that I'd done autobiography, but bascially what I did was model the entry on what someone else had done with David's. Also, I did my own page because I didn't want to end up with a page about what blogwars I might have been in by someone who doesn't like my blog's politics. The bibliography and the books are the point. (You've still got me on the list of Award Winners without Misplaced Pages pages.) I've kept a copy in case someone overzealous deletes my entry because I wrote it myself. --], January 25, 2007. | |||

Hello Alvonruff -- I, and many other editors, sympathise with your stance on this topic. You should note that moving an article to draft can (in most circumstances) be contested by the creator simply by moving it back into mainspace. (As an established editor, you are not obliged to use the Articles for Creation service.) This can lead to deletion requests but does at least require an administrator to review the request for deletion. Nicholas Sansbury Smith moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Nicholas Sansbury Smith, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Misplaced Pages). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Misplaced Pages's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Les Martin
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Les Martin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Les Martin. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your submission at Articles for creation: Nicholas Sansbury Smith (September 18)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was: This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages. The comment the reviewer left was: needs more independent sources not primary.
