So, Red, your "threats" are really not credible. Nor is your biased opinion. You spend hours going to numerous websites posting negative comments--how can Misplaced Pages view your edits as anything other than totally biased. If anyone should be blocked as an editor, it is YOU.

*Excuse me, but if you're going to post excerpts from my email, please do not quote only part of it out of context - that statement was only in reference to your claim that Rhode Island Red had improperly blocked you. Any editor may leave warning messages for another - when the editor being warned reaches a number of warnings, they can be reported to the administrators for action. So, while Rhode Island Red may not be able to block you himself, his warnings are correct in that you may be blocked for your disruptive behavior. ] ] 18:05, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

==External links==
Adding external links to articles is allowed only if these links are highly relevant to the article and not deemed advertising. Links to commercial sites are often removed; especially ] should not contain any links to specific commercial diets or weight-loss books, no matter how good they are. The links on the article about yourself (or at least the one to your blog) were actually okay and sufficiently relevant in my opinion. The problem with the ] article is that it reads like an advertisement and does not follow our ] policy. It is also not very well-received to see people writing about themselves, see our ]. Advertising is strongly discouraged on Misplaced Pages, so your article might get deleted even if you meet our ] unless the article is cleaned up to read like a neutral encyclopedia article soon. Hope that helps, and happy editing, ] ] 01:46, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

The difference between that page and your page is that the author did not create her page. According the wikipedia policy on "'''Self-promotion.''' The arbitration committee ruled on ], ] that: "Editors should avoid contributing to articles about themselves or subjects in which they are personally involved, as it is difficult to maintain NPOV while doing so." Creating overly abundant links and references to autobiographical articles, or to articles in which you have a personal stake, is similarly unacceptable. See ] and ]." Taking that into account and the fact that you have previously been warned about spam I felt that the nomination for deletion was acceptable. Notability is another issue that I have not particularly looked into on this topic but shouldl be taken into consideration.
Personal attacks are not taken lightly.--] <small>] </small> 01:53, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

:I know it can be frustrating when you first start editting on this site because despite best efforts many other editors can be relentless in there edits (this is partly due to the amount of vandalism received on this site). The only thing you can do is attempt to defend yourself and what you wrote without going on the offensive (personal attacks get you nowhere and can get you blocked from editting wikipedia). I have no problem with the page itself but as I stated it is wikipedia policy to avoid writing issues about yourself or subjects in which they are personally involved with. If there is anything you don't understand about this site let me know on my talk page ] and I will attempt to help you.--] <small>] </small> 03:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

:I understand your thinking and I will attempt to clean up your page and make it a little more encylopedic because you are a notable author and it would be fine to have a page on you and your work. Don't worry about the comment, I understand that you are new to ] and it can be frustrating. Even experienced Wikipedians lose their cool once in a while ( that's why ] exists}.

Hi! Sorry the Wikexperience so far hasn't been positive for you but I ''did'' just run across an article for you that might help make things work out a little better!

If you follow ] you'll end up at '''Help:Talk page''' which gives hints, tips, and other useful information on how to format your replies to people to make the most of Misplaced Pages. Hopefully you find this link of help!

While it's tempting to edit an encyclopedia page that refers to yourself (I know, I found out there's one on me!) it's also entirely too easy to edit it into something non-encyclopedic. Haha, I won't get into my own troubles.

The only thing I can think of that you really could do and still be neutral is to state your position on the article's talk page (See that help file again!) clearly and concisely, and to simply state facts and let other editors make the corrections to the article.

Personally, I don't even change purely factual information on my own article. For quite some time, they had it stated that my birth year was two years earlier than it really is, and I simply made a statement on my own site, pointed to it in the talk so the information could be verifiable (see ]) and waited for someone else to make that change.

Talk about frustrating!

Anyway, I hope things go better for you on here, and I have to say, it's a pleasure having field experts help clarify articles!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Please stop adding the links to the JuicePlus page:
*http://JuicePlus.com - this link already exists in the External links sections and need not be duplicated.
*http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/ClinicalResearch.soa;jsessionid=.nsapr1 - Again, its a duplicate link to juiceplus.com and is also giving away your session id - something you do NOT want posted online as others could impersonate you. ] ] 17:57, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I should also note that you are in danger of violating the ] on the article which may lead to you being blocked from editing for a period of time. ] ] 17:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

== Diabesity ==

Hi Julia, thanks for contributing to Misplaced Pages. I see you've added some material to obesity pages. Your claim that Harvard coined the term "diabesity" is being disputed on ]. Perhaps you could weigh in over there. A good source is probably all that is necessary.

On ] I deleted the following:

:''2.6 million people died prematurely due to indirect Obesity and Overweight complications in 2006 and 300,000 people died due directly to Obesity and Overweight causes. The problem is so great that the Obesity crisis is now referred to as a Pandemic rather than an epidemic.''

This addition suffers from several problems. Firstly, it makes numerical claims without a ], making it very hard to fact-check. Secondly, it does not explain whether this concerns the U.S.A. alone or whether this is a worldwide figure. Thirdly you state that obesity is being referred to as a "pandemic". While I do not dispute this, ''who'' is referring to it as a pandemic? Because without a source this is quite meaningless. Please remember that Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia, which is inherently meant to be ] and ]. ]&nbsp;|&nbsp;] 20:53, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Vice busting (2).jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vice busting (2).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:15, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
