:Thank you for being kind and supportive. I received an email 2 weeks ago from Misplaced Pages thanking me for my image contributions and encouraging me to continue to add more. I was sent 300 images of my great uncle Manuel Rosenberg from the Columbia University Rare Book and Manuscript Library (they own the original artwork) and I felt they were of significant historical value. The drawings are all autographed by the people in the drawing, which matches autographs on each person's Wiki page. These illustrations were also in the Scripps-Howard syndicated newspaper articles from the 1920s. I followed protocol and each drawing is in the public domain. I have no commercial or financial gain from including these drawings. Most of the people whose pages I added to have little or no images on their pages. I do not have any external or website links added. My sole interest has been to add value to Misplaced Pages and to the people in the pictures. I received 4 messages from people thanking me for adding to pages, like Goudy. Of course, this made me feel good. Being related to the artist is the only conflict of interest per your notes above. Drawings
I noticed you have been adding sketches to many biographies. Several of your edits have been reverted. Please take a moment to read MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:08, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- These are historic and legitimate sketches of famous people of note --that were published in a syndicated Scripps Howard newspaper by art director Manuel Rosenberg and are in his revered collection at Columbia University Rare Archive Library. They are also autographed personally by the person in the drawing (which makes them valuable) as well as signed by the artist. All images I am adding to biographies are public domain --before 1927. I have a legal letter from a lawyer stating this which I have presented previously. Why are edits being reverted? You are not making it enjoyable or easy to contribute and participate in Misplaced Pages. HollywoodShui (talk) 17:25, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @HollywoodShui Now you're doing it again over a year later, incorrectly marking your additions as minor—which in effect serves to potentially hide them under the radar, even if that wasn't your intent. These sketches have next to no illustrative value in context for readers of the respective biographies. Stop adding them indiscriminately like this immediately, and make actual justifications for any inclusions based on the actual figure in question and what their article presently contains or requires. What you're doing amounts to an absurd advertisement for this artist if all of your additions were to stick. Remsense ‥ 论 04:27, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
December 2024
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Misplaced Pages's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Misplaced Pages's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did at Muriel Kirkland, you may be blocked from editing. Remsense ‥ 论 04:27, 25 December 2024 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, HollywoodShui. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Manuel Rosenberg, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Misplaced Pages:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Misplaced Pages:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Misplaced Pages's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Misplaced Pages:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. TiggerJay (talk) 05:16, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for being kind and supportive. It is not that important for me to keep these pictures up if Misplaced Pages is having an issue with them and Misplaced Pages does not feel they add interest and information to those pages. Let me know and I will delete them from my Wiki Commons which I assume will delete wherever they appear.
