'''Dardania''' (]: Dardania; ] and ]: Дарданија, ''Dardanija'') was a region encompassing the area of the modern-day ] (since 1999 under ] administration), southern parts of ], including mostly, but not entirely, western parts of the ], and parts of north-eastern ].

However ancient greek mythology refers:] had six sons whose names were Enchelus, Autarieus,Dardanus, Maedus, Taulas and Perrhaebus. So it is also said that the name comes from Dardanus.

Today, there are many places in ] called Dardania, and the individual name Dardan ist very comon among albanians. Also there are some proposals that new ] State should be called Republic of Dardania.
