] was good faith article with peer-reviewed academic sources, describing research by an individual and reasonably (therefore) citing individual's peer-reviewed papers in research journals and authoritative web sites. Paper ranked C in two categories by independent Misplaced Pages editors. Surely the constructive way to proceed here is to fix the minor query, not banhammer. Petitioning to reinstate the article.

==Request==

Request to undelete the page of Anton Bantock.
Can you restore Pay4Me draft? I will have to readjust every promotional or advertising content that made you delete the draft. The draft was not intended to serve as these issues.
He was a respected educator and artist in Bristol, so much so that a road was named after him. I'm not sure what else I can do to prove his worthyness.
Thank you

Could you please restore my submission? I'm confused by the G11 deletion for the draft of Hawken Horse Band. I provided an overview of the band, as well as background of it's creator. This isn't created for promotion as cited, but as a reference page as they are a notable band in their niche market. ] (]) 20:29, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

I am the author of the book. In the book you can see a thesis, which is my thesis which I also defended successfully. As this was the reason for the deletion I believe the deletion of the draft should be canceled as I am allowing the use of the texts. If for any reason Misplaced Pages still doesn't want to use the same texts, I would like to have the chance to rewrite them. I would need a few days to do so. I didn't had any chance now because the page was immediately deleted so I couldn't do anything about it, or explain the situation. I did mention before that I wrote a thesis on the topic of BMO. It is on my talk page from October 23. Discussion with ] .

The following is the given reason for deletion which I oppose:

== Deletion of MGN events listing ==

Hello,

I'm new to Misplaced Pages and still trying to find my feet.

<nowiki>I recently created a page for MGN events, however it was flagged as promotional by another user and then removed by you. I had tried to keep the page as factual as possible, and tried to avoid promotional language, but unfortunately it must have still sounded like an advert (it's difficult to describe a company without giving info on what they do that could be seen as promotional). Would you be willing to reinstate the page if I insert the {{</nowiki>]<nowiki>}} tag? Any advice gratefully received.</nowiki> ] (]) 13:07, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

:], I've given a detailed reply on your talk page. Successfully creating a company page is one of the most difficult challenges on Misplaced Pages, and isn't really something a new editor should attempt. You said that you ''tried to keep the page as factual as possible'' but didn't actually give us any real facts. You said ''tried to avoid promotional language'', but all you wrote was your company's aims, and the unsupported claim ''The company is recognised for its expertise...''

:Your text was unverified apart from four media links, three of which were to reputable sources, but they were just quoting Walker's opinions, and the fourth was a blog. There is nothing worth restoring, start from scratch, following the guidance on your talk to the letter. == Article deletion (Draft:Ira Vouk) ==
Dear Jimfbleak. Thank you for your quick revision of ]. It was deleted by you due to "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion". I would like to inquire if it's allowed to re-write the page in a different manner and remove any references that may be deemed promotional? Ira Vouk is a notable figure in the hospitality industry and I believe that her contributions deserve a wiki page. I admire her for her work but I'm capable of remaining neutral and producing a less "colorful" article. Will you consider reinstating the draft so that I can edit it? If not, would you be so kind to suggest any other options that are available for this article to exist in wiki space?
sincerely,

{{ping|Jimfbleak}} You gave me no time to respond - I'd only just started the article. I assumed an article in Draft was not public and therefore not subject to Copyright, so I copied the information from its source to start the article, so I didn't have to flick back and forth across various sources. I had no intention at all of publishing the material as it was, to the public. Can you please either remove or hide the section of the article body that contains the copyrighted information and reinstate the article, or undelete the article so I can do this myself? ] (]) 21:31, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

:@] {{tpw}} No part of Misplaced Pages is suitable to have copyright material placed in it. Breach of copyright is actually the use, misappropriation, of someone else's intellectual property, an unlawful act. Copyright material is removed as soon as it is spotted. This protects the intellectual property of the copyright owner and protects Misplaced Pages.
:A firm suggestion is for you to rewrite the material from scratch. You will be unable to "hide" the section yourself, and your request simply makes work for others to perform. 🇺🇦 ] ] 🇺🇦 21:54, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

::@] Thank you for responding. I didn't know the general public could read an unfinished, unpublished Draft. The information I copied was only to have access to key dates in the history of EPTA, tiresome to have to fick back and forth between pages. But at no time was I intending to publish the copied text as is, and it was never my intention to deliberately "make work for others to perform". Can Sandbox be used to draft the article without being continually pulled down while it's under construction? ] (]) 22:02, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
:::I am gobsmacked that an editor with ten years of experience would be unaware that drafts are available to the public. (It may well have been unfinished, which technically applies to every single article in main space as well as draft space, but it wasn't unpublished, as should be obvious from the button labeled "publish changes" which you have collected over seven thousand times. If you insist that you didn't know, I'll assume good faith and accept that you didn't know. However, that doesn't change the well-established Misplaced Pages rules not to mention the law which prohibits the hosting of copyrighted material.]] 23:31, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
::::Thank you for ]. “Gobsmacked” as you say you are, it has not been my practice to create new articles, only to help improve existing ones. This is only the third article I have in ten years attempted, the first two in 2016, and both of them started their lives in Sandbox, not as Draft articles.
::::In the Misplaced Pages notice at the top of the Draft Article page, it states: “Draft article not currently submitted for review. This is a draft Articles for creation (AfC) submission. It is not currently pending review,” which I took to mean that no-one other than me could see it. The 'publish changes' button I took to be an OK button in the context of Draft, similar to the 'Print' button to save Page Setup in Print dialogues, that doesn't actually print anything.
::::I assumed this Wizard would allow me to work on the article and only present it to the world after review and publication. Now, I know better, and thank you for clarifying this, albeit paternalistically. This is the first time I have used the Article Creation Wizard, and it wasn’t clear to me that draft articles are ipso facto published articles, leading me to wonder what the point of a draft or sandbox actually is. ] (]) 23:57, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
