== Deleted page - Frank Golding (author) ==
Hi there, | |||
You recently deleted a draft biography page I created for an author, Frank Golding, on the grounds that the sources were largely from the subject himself. I tried to include a substantial amount of source from reputable newspapers and archives, but I would be happy to return to the draft and add more if it could be restored. Finally, if there is any wikipedia guidance on striking a balance for sources for memoirists that would be helpful - the details of the subject's biography are of course sometimes unavoidably best drawn from his own published work because memoir is about the self. Many thanks for your consideration. ] (]) 02:32, 8 January 2025 (UTC)DeEsCeHa

Hello {{u|Jimfbleak}}, sorry to beat a dead horse a little but bit I am going through AfCs on books/authors and noticed that . You're right that the quotes from reviewers gave that section a very promotional feel, since the quotes had a lot of bombastic praise, but I think fully removing the reviews contributed to an inaccurate AfC decline since it also removed the evidence for ]. Since RS reviews are important for notability, please preserve them somewhere neutral (even a "further reading") in the future. Thanks for your work at AfC! ] (]) 23:18, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi Jimfbleak. Hope 2025 has ricked off just right for you. I came across a reference to ''burnt'' in the Portuguese translation of the article, and I see that you introduced that element . Hi, can you help put back the draft for SeamlessHR? I'd used the draft from the website to curate their profile, which must have contained the materials deemed as puffery but I attempted to mitigate this by linking the stories to their respective evidence in the media. All of the media evidence is tied to each one of the stories. I am happy to remove anything that seems like advertisement. I deem this worthy of being on Misplaced Pages because there are very few firms leveraging technology for HR solutions in Africa, and SeamlessHR being one of them needs to be preserved for people to know and be able to read about them. The piece is not a promotion or advertisement, rather a statement of the firm's growth, and a reflection of development happening in Africa.

Hey, could you please elaborate on why do you think the article is promotional and should be instantly deleted? I've provided ample references to back up everything that's written, including public data from UK government websites. I don't know how that can not be a valid source. If the article needs further editing, by all means, let me know, but it doesn't merit a page deletion. If the phrasing was a problem, again - let me know and I will fix it. ] (]) 09:06, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Burnt fynbos
Hi Jimfbleak. Hope 2025 has ricked off just right for you. I came across a reference to burnt in the Portuguese translation of the article, and I see that you introduced that element here. Could you please clarify, so I can adjust the Portuguese to read better? Thanks. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 13:13, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

- Looking at the user's talk page, it seems that you also unintentionally deleted Aminullah Khan as "making way for a move" even though that page was not a redirect and the page to be moved, Draft:Aminullah Khan, was a redirect. As WP:G6 notes, "
An administrator who deletes a page that is blocking a move should ensure that the move is completed after deleting it.
" The person who nominated it really wanted to delete Draft:Aminullah Khan and move the article there (though that would be move warring despite a WP:DRAFTOBJECT). SilverLocust 💬 13:49, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
