Hey Jeff. =) I hope you're up to no good again. I have to take my little breaks too; this place is frustrating, no doubt about it. For a minute I thought the "boo" comment was yet another cheerful evaluation of my admin activities. Let me know if I can smite anyone for you. ;-) ··]] 08:22, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Good to see you back on form Jeff. :) Btw, see the gay debate last night? I bet on Obama for President (and I will), but I'd campaign for Kucinich. He's a no-hoper but so sweet... ] (Have a nice day!) 21:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

: *Grin* I'm afraid I don't know him, although I might have heard his music if he was at the Europride. ;-) That was a blast! I will check him out though. And you went to Poland for vacation? :-S I would have thought that wasn't too friendly right now, even if the evil twins are about to be royally kicked out of power... Me, I'm at Switzerland, enjoying the sights, food and fireworks. ;-) Cheers! ] <small>]</small> 09:30, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

==Coelacan==
Hi, I saw your comment at ]. I have asked other administrators to check on him, but no word on him or his wellbeing. This is not like him. I wish he were not so secretive about his gender, location or whatever. Not that I needed to know, it didn't matter to me at all. But now wish I did, so I can know if he is OK. He just wanted me to know him as "Old Fish". I think of him often. I miss my Old Fish. Ironic, I was first acquainted with him after he blocked me, but he was so gentle, kind, yet stern at the same time. I deserved the block, and admired him since. I saw a person with a soul, a real human being, even if he was just an Old Fish, as he said. I then asked him to adopt me, to learn, and help temper my temper. LOL. I was able to rant, cuss and complain to him, and he always kept a level head, and sometimes let me know his frustrations too. He would watch me, and comment on me, and I never, ever was offended, as I knew he was being helpful. We need more of his kind around. I pray that he is safe, and is on a wonderful vacation. But, my gut says otherwise. I hope I'm wrong, I really hope I'm wrong. ]&nbsp;<small>]</small> 07:24, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Re : No problem. =) That IP was certainly persistent. Looking at the edits, it feels like it's some school's IP address. While your RFPP was denied because I blocked that particular IP ending the recent issue, another admin went ahead and semi-protected it for a week , though didn't note it in the RFPP. On a side note, I restored your comment on my Talk page because I replied to it and wanted to keep the message flow. -- ] 22:30, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

==Odd link==
Hi Jeffpw, I found this rather odd link to your page: ]. Is it meant to be there? I was basically RC patrolling when I saw an IP edit ]. After realising that userpage was not actually edited under the username, I examined "Tom Voigt's" edits and found he created a subpage. I'm not sure if you're aware of it, I'm just bringing it to your attention. Thanks. ] 14:00, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

nah, I figured it was a formatting error, the template is screwed up enough by itself, I wouldn't be surprised if someone broke it by putting the wrong thing somewhere. == Civility & ] (re: ]) ==

While I appreciate & agree with the cautions about ] that you gave to this user , the use of the epithet "anon asshole" about this same person rather flies in the face of civility. It's not something I might have noticed because I've been occupied with other things today, except that this user has contacted me on my own talk page about the ] article & mentioned this discrepancy to me. --] 21:44, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
:My dear, that's an entirely different matter. His/her actions in his edits made him/her a defacto asshole. I was merely pointing out the obvious. That's nothing like attacking another editor who was minding his own business, constructively editing the WSiki. I'm sure if you think about it (and take your time) you'll end up agreeing. :-) ] 21:53, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
::Sorry, no, I don't agree that calling someone an "asshole" is at all in order on Misplaced Pages, whether you're saying it to their face (so to speak) or behind their back in some other area of Misplaced Pages. My own opinion is that your incivility, both in your comment about this user at ] & in your reiteration of it directly above, is no more conducive to a civil environment on Misplaced Pages than ]'s comments were. --] 22:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

This is the user talk page of an editor who has died. His family has requested that the page be preserved, which it is through the edit history. Editors wishing to leave memorial comments should do so here.

There will be little rubs and disappointments everywhere, and we are all apt to expect too much; but then, if one scheme of happiness fails, human nature turns to another; if the first calculation is wrong, we make a second better: we find comfort somewhere. Jane Austen, Mansfield Park
