Hi Allstarecho. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Misplaced Pages, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See ''']''' for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Misplaced Pages and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --] (]) 16:10, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

The ] is holding online working days in May. As a member of ], editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.
As far as the Alabama communities: there is generally no possible way to source the population for an unincorporated area definitively if the Census doesn't make it a CDP. Of course, with communities such as Madden, it's different because of the newspaper source, but most communities have no sources at all dealing with this, and it's likely that most communities like this have the population put up by a local resident. Moreover, when I'm placing county templates such as the one for Leake County, I'm just going through communities rapidly, and I don't have time to go researching: if someone like you wishes to spend more time to research it, that's good, but there's no reason for an unsourced and likely unsourceable statement to remain posted. ] 19:47, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for keeping the sourced material on levee building. You challenged me to learn more and I did. Wiki Loves Pride 2014

Hi Allstarecho. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Misplaced Pages, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. --Another Believer (Talk) 16:10, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
