I've introduced the Barnstar of Peace and devoted most of my time here to the help of otheer users. I ''was blocked'' for helping another user! Aside from the H case, what have I done wrong?!? --] (]) 01:41, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Look, guys, the disruption he caused was quite unwelcome, yes, and he did interfere with a users ], but I for one think that, after a six month site ban, this user probably learned his lesson. And after viewing his contributions, he was once a valued editor. So long as he promises not to continue to do what got him blocked before, I think we should give him one last chance. ] (]) 05:59, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
:A discussion is currently taking place at ]. No administrator should unblock without first consulting that discussion and ensuring a consensus exists to do so. I will leave this talk page unprotected in the meantime so that Defender 911 can add his comments, which can be copied from here to the noticeboard discussion by a not-banned editor. However, abuse of the talk page (including incivility, personal attacks, harassment and use of the {{t1|unblock}} template — an unblock will not/should not be executed without consensus at the discussion, so it will otherwise be ] which is not permissable) by Defender 911 will result in this page being protected from editing and severing the communication link between Defender 911 and the noticeboard. :The issue that has come up is if a permanant block is superfluous, especially for a first block. There is no question that what happened cannot be accepted by Misplaced Pages, but a four month block, in my opinion is far too long. --] (]) 01:31, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

== If unblocked ==
Listen, you are not in any position of respect on Misplaced Pages. However, if you are fortunate enough to be unblockd, you have to agree to three things:

'''1) You must respect ]:''' The user in question left Misplaced Pages under very serious circumstances. To violate another user's privacy, even and ''especially'' after it is revealed that the user does not wish too have further contact with anybody regarding the circumstances of their departure, is not acceptable.

'''2) You have to start contributing to the encyclopedia:''' It is alright to occasionally tak with fellow editors; we are a community, after all. However, when you have about one-tenth of your edits to the mainspace,it becomes somewhat of an issue. You see, ], and ]. It is therefore important that you do work on articles more often.

'''3) You must not ], or ]:''' If you wish to illustrate a point, do so by explaining yourself calmly, instead of going to the talk pages of several administrators and asking them all to make contact with a user respecting his or her right to vanish. This is the real reason for your block; you caused a lot of disruption on other user's talk pages doing these actions. To put this abstractly, when an issue is resolved, just drop it and move on. Yes, your intentions were not bad and I think you can become a good editor, but this form of conduct is not acceptable. —Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 06:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

:I accept these terms, however I'd like to request the restoration of my userpage. --] (]) 20:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
::Unfortunately for you, Defender, no administrator is willing to unblock at this time. Therefore, your best course of action is to appeal to ], who are traditionally known to unban users. I recommend waiting a few months longer, though. ] (]) 03:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

::::I'm gonna try to see if I can open up a case as well ... I agree with Kendrick, you've been treated far worse than people who have been more disruptive and haven't bothered to apologize. ]] 23:20, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

]. Now let's see what happens next. ]] 00:00, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

:Not much luck. Maybe I'm better off leaving; I'm not wanted here. I can't get a chance to even make up for what I've done. I should just go-almost everyone hates me for what I've done. --] (]) 01:43, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

For what it is worth, I can see an argument for giving this user another chance, although I am obviously not going to unblock against this strong a consensus. My suggestion is that you start contributing to another wiki or website, avoid the mistakes that you made here, bear in mind the lessons you have learned, and reapply again for an unblock after a few more months have passed. Best of luck to you. ] (]) 01:52, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I have to say, I echo Newyorkbrad's comments, you may wish to try editing Wikimedia Commons or Simple Misplaced Pages for a few months, and once you have a strong track record of positive contributions, I'm sure we will be quite happy to look at any unblock request. I would also say, hate is a very strong word, I certainly don't hate you and I don't think anybody else does. ] (]) 18:04, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

:"Hate" ''is'' a strong word. It's also true. *Misplaced Pages is no community; it runs itself like a corporation. Misplaced Pages's only goals are for itself, with no regard for the people who contribute to it. The administrators here are no better than I was four months ago, and , to be honest, I don't even thing I caused enough disruption for a ban this long. The sysops I've met are the most hateful, disrespectful, power-hungry, unforgiving people I've ever met - and I've hardly met them! I'm well past caring about being accused of a personal attack, because that's exactly how I felt for ''four months''!!! I ought to leave Misplaced Pages; I'm not wanted here.--] (]) 20:15, 19 December 2007 (UTC)*
