Byrd Middle has an athletic program which provides sports such as; football, wrestling, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, coed(boys and girls) gymnastics, baseball, softball, boys and girls track, and tennis. And cheerleading, which is by far the best in the whole world. Until the 2007-2008 school year, Byrd Middle School ran on a ]. This means that there are four classes a day, each one lasting an hour and thirty minutes long. In the fall of 2007, a new schedule was implemented. On Mondays, the student would have all classes with the exception of H block, which is to be the new block for the academic wheel class. Each class would last about 45 minutes, and the students would end school at the scheduled time. | |||
