If you read my posts with the above in mind, you'll see that in fact I've done none of these things. As far as I can tell, when you accuse an editor of Wikilawyering all you're really saying is that the editor has cited a policy page in order to support their argument. I don't know if this misunderstanding of Wikilawyering is the reason why you've been so rude towards me and other editors, but if it is then hopefully this post goes at least some way towards preventing a continuation of that in the future. Discouraging people from editing articles by being rude to them is bad enough, but if it's based on a misunderstanding then it's even worse. -- ] (]) 20:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC) | |||

Hi, we haven't really crossed paths before now, but I have noticed you around the traps in the last year I have been on WP. I have made a proposal to merge several Russian related projects into WP:RUSSIA. You can view the proposal at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russia#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project. Having seen your contributions to Russia-related articles, you would be a great addition to the project. As you are probably aware many Russia-related articles are suffering, and a lot of it has to do with a lack of co-ordination, collaboration with editors who are achieving the same goals (that being building an encyclopaedia) and "backup" from a project structure. Your input into the proposal is kindly requested, and perhaps we could get you onboard. So that all editors are reading off the same page could you please limit discussion to Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal. We all look forward to your input. Fair use rationale for Image:Ne_po_svoej.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ne_po_svoej.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rockfang (talk) 20:51, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
